      We had a roof installed by Helm Construction *** There are visible signs of faulty work from the outside of the house and when looking in the attic. Two separate employees verified that the roof needed to be fixed and it was shoddy workmanship. We also pointed out that they messed up our gutters and gutter guards and there were pieces missing from them. They acknowledged/recognized this. For two months they have made no attempt to fix any of this, although the owner told us it would be fixed and he was going to send a gutter guy out to look at our gutters, but he was definitely going to replace our gutter guards. After little contact- we have spent so much time at work each week trying to resolve this with little communication from them. The two times they said they were going to send a crew over to fix it, they didn't show up. Today the owner said they won't fix anything and asked if we would accept partial payment for the "cosmetic" issues. He did not give a price, but we are talking more than cosmetic, not to mention the gutters. We have photos and text conversations between my husband and the owner and other employees. We don't have a roof that is correctly installed. If we have another company come fix these problems, it is likely they won't give us a warranty since they didn't install it. **** gave us a 20 year warranty, but since they didn't install it correctly and now don't have time to fix it, it is very unlikely that we will get any work done per the warranty, which is what we paid for and was included in the sale of the roof. As I said, we have photos and all of the texts that were sent to us. At this point we will need to get an attorney unless we can get help here.

      Didn't do entire roofing job.... Covered over bad rafters and joist with new roof.... Roof collapsed .

      Mr. ******* hired us to replace his shingle roof with new shingles. Per our agreement, the scope of work entailed removing the old shingles and inspecting the decking underneath for any rotted plywood decking. That rotted plywood was replaced per the agreement and the rest of the roofing materials were installed per manufacturer instructions (*** Roofing System). When the roof was completed, Mr. ******* asked me why there seemed to be a dip in the roof, I explained to Mr. ******* that it was being caused by his ridge board as evidenced in the picture before the roof was touched. I explained to Mr. ******* that we are not framers and that was outside of our scope of work. At this point, Mr. ******* still seemed very satisfied and said we would settle up the next day. When the next day came, Mr. ******* claimed that his bank account was hacked and he lost all of his money and that he would need a few more days to pay his bill. I checked back in about 3-4 business days after and he told me it would be another 10 days until he had his money returned. Moving forward to today, Mr. ******* sent me a text telling me part of his ceiling had fell. This exact part of the ceiling was previously falling down due to what I imagine was water damage from needing a new roof. I explained through a phone call to Mr. ******* that I would be more than happy to look at it however, I again am not a framer. He demanded that I pay him $4,000 that he paid me as a deposit. However, as we stand right now Mr. ******* has a brand new roof that is installed properly per manufacturer instructions as evidenced by the *** 50-Year Manufacturer Warranty he got with the roof. The roof that was installed is not leaking nor missing any shingles or anything that would signify a bad installation. I am asking Mr. ******* to pay his bill in full and I am still willing to meet with him to see if I can at the least lead him in the right direction. If Mr. ******* does not pay his bill in full, it is my intention to take this to small claims court in the very near future.

      In June, 2023 I have Helm Construction put a new roof on. They did my main roof which needed new wood as well. That was a shingle roof. They also did my flat roof. October, 2023 I had a visible roof leak from the flat roof. They took a few days to handle it after multiple attempts to contact them, but they had to come and put metal flashing around the edge that was never put there in the first place. I have photos. On August 9th, 2024, I had a pretty significant roof leak. I called, texted and sent an online request for **** (the owner) to get back to me about at least tarping. He did not respond until I made a ******** complaint and then he blocked me. He did respond though and told me to poke a hole in the ceiling to let water release and place buckets under. I have three buckets from the leak, there was water pouring over my doorway and through the stairs. This was a Friday and he did not send guys until Tuesday. They discovered that there was never any metal flashing along the edges to deter the rain. When I asked about water remediation, I was ignored. After multiple times of bringing it up and the concern of mold, **** said there isnt any mold because it dried if I used a fan. I explained that a fan cannot go through walls and this was a significant amount of water and it has been getting in for an entire year's worth of rain due to not having flashing. He continued to dismiss it. I requested for him to come on Monday August 19, 2024 because we were having rain over the weekend and I wanted a moisture test done and to discuss repairs needed for the roof and the inside. He failed to respond. I explained that I will have another company come out to do an inspection and estimate and then take him to small claims unless he shows up Monday morning to address everything. He still failed to respond. I had **** ***** Restoration come to do an inspection, moisture test, and an estimate. I am concerned because on 8/18 water is still coming in and he is not responding.

      **** did not respond promptly and told me to just put a fan and buckets. As a result of not repairing the roof correctly and in a timely manner, I had extensive damage in the home. **** said he would cover the interior damage. I provided an estimate. He said get a couple due to price. I did and they were are roughly the same. **** said he would call the company but never did. I gave him a deadline to repair the roof and said I need work started asap. He continued to avoid and so I filed with insurance. They will go after him. I told him I will go to small claims. He never even showed up to check the work and threatened that he would not do repairs if I did not take the reviews down. He manipulated me and is not handling the inside work as stated that he would. I could not upload all of the images of areas affected.

      On 1/4/24 they installed our roof. At that time they were to replace two skylights and all gutters on our house. They ordered the wrong size skylights and have not provided any updates on their status. On 1/31 they removed the gutters from the back of our house and did not return. After an attempt to contact them they text me that there was rotted wood that needed to be replaced. That wood was replaced on 2/28 after my wife got a response from a ******** message she sent to them. They have not answered another text on 3/1 with an eta on the gutter replacement. In the interim they have not answered numerous phone calls and texts to give us some idea when this job will be finished. We currently have no gutters on our house and water is running down the foundation and we fear our basement will start getting water in it. If they cannot finish the job we will hire someone to do the gutters and skylights.

      Still no refund.  Had to hire another company to complete the gutter job.  It will cost double their original quote to replace our skylights from new repair estimates since more labor is required.

      The company sent me a refund check.  However, the job was not completed and I had to hire other contractors at a higher rate to finish the job.  I still do not have my warranty from the shingle manufacturer.  I have no idea how I will file a claim if ******* ever fails.

      Roof was installed 4/21/22. 3 weeks later was leaking they came and repaired. Since then the roof has leaked 3-4 more times damaging my interior ceiling as well. I am supposed to have a 10yr warranty. Which he doesn't honor. He wanted me to take down my ****** review in order to do any repair. And each time they came out they came with no materials for the repair. Just a thing of caulk. I asked for photos for proof. They had none. Then I guess he got tired of sending his people out he told me to contact a third party roofer to do the repair and he would pair for it. I send him to estimates and he said he would send a check which I NEVER received. I got all this documentation in text message conversation. I want my roof repaired correctly or a partial refund. Cuz this was poor workmanship my homeowners won't even cover this

      Helm construction inspected a leak from my roof, diagnosed the problem, and quoted me for an entire replacement. They replaced the roof on 5/5/2022. The replaced roof leaked worse than before only two days later on 5/7/2022, which they came to repair. I had the lighting in my kitchen replaced and the drywall repaired from the leak at this time. Following these repairs, on 3/3/23 the roof leaked again substantially, causing a new hole in my drywall and another ruined light. It was very difficult to get in touch with Helm construction, and they sent workers to home while no one was home to communicate the problem. This repeated on 6/26/23, causing additional damage without appropriate measures taken by Helm construction to prevent further damage or repair new damage. On 1/9/24 another large leak occurred, causing further damage to my kitchen and undoubtedly the roof structure itself. Despite several calls, Helm construction will not address this issue or contact me back. The original roofing replacement included a 10 year workmanship warranty that they have refused to adequately uphold.

      Date of the "completed transaction" was 11-30-2023. Upon consultation the owner ensured me they would put up my gutters when I asked about it. They never properly re-attached my gutters. The entire yard still present with debris and nails after they sent someone "to clean it up". I messaged the project manager and he never responded regarding the finished product. The back awning looks like a bunch of amaturs did the job and it looks horrible. They demanded second half of the payment but I refuse to pay due to the poor quality and lack of cleanup.

      Helm Construction installed a new roof on 12/14/22. On 9/11/23, we had several leaks in our bedroom ceiling. My husband and I called the number that was provided to us on our work proposal and on the 10 year warranty. Phone was never answered, nor were our calls returned. We received one text message stating he would call my husband and he would put us on the schedule. We never received a phone call. On Sat 9/16/23, a man came to our house and proceeded to put a ladder up and go onto our roof. My husband asked him who he was and what company he worked for. His response was **** sent me to fix the roof. He was not on the roof very long. Then on Sat 10/7/23, we were awakened by water dripping down on us from our ceiling fan. We also had additional water marks on our ceiling. We called ***************** @ 7:44am as they advertise emergency roofing service on their website and we also had our warranty. He would not pick up our phone calls nor did we receive any phone calls back. We also tried the additional phone number listed on our proposal ********** and it was disconnected. on 10/12/23, our neighbors alerted us that some men went up on our roof. We spoke with them via the phone and asked who they were, they said **** had sent them to fix the roof. We told them to get off our roof as we were not home and to have **** call us. Both my husband and I called ****, he did not answer and no calls returned to us. We want our money back as they falsely advertise our team is always available to answer concerns that may arise, this is a breach of contract by not honoring the 10 year warranty and they did not remove the old roof as was stated on our contract. We paid them $6,333.80. We had another roofer with 30 years experience come and look at our roof and he said it needs to be completely removed and redone. The roof Helm installed is filled with an overabundance of wrinkles and the old roof was never removed.

      We have since discovered that the address listed on our contract and warranty (********************************************************************. ** *****) is no longer the correct address. It appears they are now using the address of ******************************************************************** with the cell # ************ which is the same cell number we used to call ***************** when our problems first started.

      I contracted Helm Construction to install 12 replacement windows .The contract was signed by me on 6/25/2023. The required deposit check for $5,500.00 was cashed by ***************** on 6/26.2023.The contract states that the work was expected to be started in 2-3 weeks. ***************** never contacted me or started the work within the contracted timeframe.I have made many attempts to contact ***************** by phone, email, and text and also visiting the office for a few weeks but was unsuccessful as my attempts were not answered by ************.************ finally responded to my wife on one of her many attempts with a text stating that he has not received the windows due to several different issues and was mailing the deposit money back to us on 9/2/2023.I have not received this check. Attempts to contact ************ about this have been unsuccessful.Thank you,***********************

      Helm was given a down-payment to work on our home (1/6/23) and work was not completed *or even started by legal contract date. We asked for our deposit back and it was never returned.
