I don't know how Spring EQ manages to stay in business! They are an awful business! They make up things as they go along . . . and then act and behave as though whatever they put down on a "check list" is automatically elevated to something that has the force and effect of law!!! One can see from them where DOGE types come from!!!Spring EQ LLC

Well, folks, by that token response it's fairly easy to see why Spring EQ has the shoddy reputation it has! Before dealing with them, please research the company's history . . . and see the records pertaining to charges of racial discrimination against African-Americans and charges of 'kickbacks" in their operations!Review fromPaul D

1 starSpring EQ appraisal contract with ValueNet Division of Accurate Group LLC Appraisal Report # 8617127 dated 10/19/2024 for 1702 Woodmill St. Chesapeake, VA at $342,000 is not correct and is. low by $60,900 as follows:
1. House square footage is 2,120, as shown on Homeowners Declaration Page not 1,867 SF as shown for Comp houses. At an additional 253 SF, this alone would add $46,300 to the value at their figure of $183/SF = $387,900
2. Unlike the comp houses cited, the subject house has 21 solar panels worth over $10,000. (Summer electric bill is typically about $12/mo. with Fall, Winter and Spring at zero or a credit.)
3. Unlike the comp houses, the subject house has an excellent front portico, worth $5,000.
4. Comp houses have lower SF than subject house and a average value of $362,000.
Considering the above, a fair replacement value for subject home at 1702 Woodmill St. would be: $387,900 + $10,000 + $5,000 = $402,900 which is much lower than the Homeowner Insurance Declaration Residence, Part A coverage value of $455,514.
Nowhere in the Driveby appraisal does Accurate Group explain how they arrived at a home value of $342,000.
Note: Owner was home when Drive-by appraisal was done. Appraiser had only to knock on door to see that this home was a 4 BR home, 2,120 SF, with 21 Solar Panels,Review fromRobert M

1 starWhat a terrible experience this was! They strung me along for 6 weeks telling me we could move forward with the loan and then all of a sudden nope. I give them zero stars. Stay far away from this lender!Review fromDeanna F

1 starBEWARE!!! I would give this business negative stars if I could. **************** is great the first day and then declines from there. Getting a home equity is one of the scariest loans to get and for someone to ignore you days on end but still get several loan disclosures to sign a day wanting to lock you in to a 20 year loan without anyone to explain, answer questions or change anything is ludicrous. The first day I kept telling her there were errors and was told to sign things anyway?! WHAT?! I feel this company has something really shady going on. You can't get through on their main line to a human, nobody returns calls or emails and when you actually do and don't even think about your Loan Officer getting back to you, not even a chance, even when they say they will. I had the unfortunate situation of getting **** ***********-***** as mine. They tell you one thing and then try and rope you into a loan with a totally different situation, interest rate, etc. Very spammy and scammy. STAY AWAY!!!Review fromSteven F

1 starMy experience with Spring EQ was awful. We were seeking a HE loan for a solar panel and battery installation because rates were low enough at the time that we could come out ahead keeping our cash invested in the market. From the beginning, I told them our home was held in a living trust with my wife. Yet, they made us go through the arduous paperwork process for weeks only to be told at the end that they don't offer HE loans for homes held in a trust. We would have to move it out of the trust and hold it as individuals or else take out a HELOC, which lacks the tax deduction. Ughh...I decided to just use cash in the end. What an enormous waste of my time!Review fromHeriberto P

This company has to be the worst I have ever dealt with. Zero customer service! No one answers their phones nor do they reply to emails. Just to name a few ***********, ***** and the customer service team. (HAHA TEAM) I am currently in the process of trying to get a heloc from them. I have upload the same documents over and over. As soon as they need something I respond and get it to them, can't say I get the same in return. I am regretting having started this process with them. In the begin they are very responsive then they just leave you hanging, after they have all your info good luck getting any one to respond to you.Spring EQ LLC

Similar experience received as these other negative reviews. Spring EQ reps were great at the start and we were quick to get them what was needed for our refinance loan, but then they requested forms from our other lender which were irrelevant. They never explained why those were needed and failed to even send any form of loan declination to date.Spring EQ LLC

First of all.. the company loan management started out acting like they had our best interests at heart.. the usual blah blah associated with getting business.. we were assured of equity in our property.. jumped through hoops to get them all the information they required immediately..then after the first initial two days .. all communication ceased.. the customer portal became blank... no calls , no return emails.. voice mails unanswered... after all their boasting about how easy to get a loan secured.. we received a letter in the mail with a decline.. said collateral was insufficient .. which was a total joke considering the value of the property versus the small loan we needed..I will never ever again contact Spring EQ for anything.. I hope they fall into bankruptcy and cease to exist.. They could have had the common courtesy to at least email or call with a declination.. another example of people not doing their jobs when needed...Spring EQ LLC

I attempted to do business with Spring EQ via Prosper. I applied for a HELoan through ******* and had a wonderful experience with their original loan ******** ************* She was an absolute pleasure and I wish she kept my file. She submitted my documentation to Spring EQ which I already knew would occur. Once it got there I waited a week to figure out what was going on with my application. I reached out and then received an email from that loan officer ************************* stating my credit score was not high enough. He then touched base with me via phone also the next day, 13th or 14th of May to explain that. I want to state I am not denying nor complaining on my score. It is that I was led to believe that the loan was still possible. To explain, During this same conversation he proceeded to let me know that an internal credit enhancement team can take a look at my credit and determine what I can pay down quickly to pull my score up and then avoid reapplying. This seemed like an internal rapid score situation which I am familiar with from previous home purchases. So not odd to hear of it. I said okay lets do that because I still wanted to proceed with the loan since it seemed to be only that holding it up, it was equity or DTI. **** stated he would send my file over and I should hear from them in a couple days. I never heard from that team and I emailed **** to follow up and verify if I should just pay off something to boost my score and he said to wait for the team. Well it is 5/30 and I am still waiting but in the mean time I did email the Prosper loan officer and explained it to her and she apologized but I said if they do business like that then it isnt worth my money to work with them regardless of the reason. I was wanting to at least attempt to do business but it didnt work out that way as I was led to believe it was possible and I dont condone that kind of business practice. Such a bummer but now I know what score to improve on and take it elsewhere.Spring EQ LLC
