      The sizes me wrong and order me a size 14 dress when in reality I’m a size 20 they wanted me to make alterations on the dress and for me for pay for it. There so crazy and they refuse to give me my money back it’s a 1,000 dress. This was not cheap for me I’m still making payments for a dress that I never took out of the store. Obviously if it did not fit why should I take something I will not be using. Called several times to headquarters que after reviewing my case they hung up the phone and I have to try calling again and they don’t answer quick enough. This is not a store for any brida specially if you have a date for the wedding planned out.

      Review from a groom. We dropped off my bride’s dress for alterations on June 11, they told us the alterations would be done and it would be ready to be picked up by July 15, which gave them five weeks to make alterations. Then come July 15 not only was it not ready for pickup, they didn’t ask for another few days, they said they needed over two more weeks and promised it would be done by August 5 (now getting perilously close to our wedding day). I thought for sure, there’s no way August 5 is going to come and it’s not going to be done. We received a call on Aug 1, they asked if they could delay the pickup to August 18, to which we said NO, there is absolutely no way that will work, that’s cutting it way too close, if there was any mistake made, if it was delayed again, if there was any problem at all there would be no time to correct it or get a different dress. If you can’t guarantee it’ll be done by August 9 we’ll have to take it somewhere else, we’re OUT OF TIME. This was made unquestionably clear during this phone call, there was no chance of any misunderstanding, no confusion, everyone understood exactly what the promise made was. Then they thanked us for giving them ANOTHER 8 days to do the alterations and promised us it would definitely be done and ready to be picked up on Aug 9th.
      I’m writing this Aug 9th, and guess what? They called and said it’s not done. They also lied about having started it (which they hadn’t). Not only is their service truly among the worst I’ve ever seen across any industry, what’s even worse is their attitude. I was shocked how much the employees, including a manager, didn’t seem to care; No explanation, no offer to make it right. They had nearly TWO MONTHS to do a job that takes a few hours, and throughout the entire process were never honest with us. I would recommend literally any other bridal shop, any other tailor, over this place. Any business you can find on google is going to be a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over David’s Bridal.

      Terrible experience. Bought my dress a year in advance. Started alterations 3 months later. They were 40mins late to my appointment, 3 weeks late on their turnaround. Cancelled my appointment for my wedding fitting the night before. Then called me a B$&:@ ! When they didn’t think I could hear. Plus my dress was messed up when I got it back! Totally botched my bustle ! And didn’t have time to fix it because of how late they were getting it back to me! Also refused to refund me anything !

      Horrible Horrible experience.
      My daughter went last September to buy a dress..we found a dress that fit her relatively well size 14 they rang the bell . Dress came in December 3rd but her first fitting was July 13 2022.
      We went bought rehearsal dress, 2 pairs of shoes, and a teddy.
      The dress she literally was swimming in
      The seamstress said she couldn't fix the dress. Originally we were told they ordered 2 sizes up to be able to fix her size without losing lace or beads.
      We went to the counter and the manager was such a rude bit h people walked out and a man said to his wife are you hearing this shit?
      They stated to my daughter.."it's not David's Bridals fault you lost weight" she said at first she wasn't changing gowns out until I said listen it was bought 09/21 and her dress came Dec 3 but her first fitting wasn't until today.
      I was told by the corporate office that..no no
      . They ordered that size because the dress was discontinued in August. They had to order a 16 W. It's all rhat was left. So finally the manager switched out the dresses.
      However her first dress was $699.99 Last summer and they only exchanged 499.99 for the new dress that was on sale for 349.00.
      Now her dress came in July 22 and her new fitting was for July 27th. We bought a much nicer dress and wanted our money refunded.
      They said absolutely NOT. It's been passed a week since it was ordered. So literally 8 days and they said we could only have a merchandise card??
      This is my last daughter to be married! I have everything I need, and she's bought everything she needs. They owe me $549.00 + the emotional stress they caused my daughter. I was told they are sending a team to retrain the Colonie David's Bridal. I asked what are you going to do to help my daughter.. no response.
      Something needs to be done, or I'm going rogue on the whole company!

      I would not recommend David’s Bridal. I needed to exchange an item for a smaller size that I had received 7 days prior. On their website it states returns are $12.50 for a Return Shipping Label. I wasn’t returning the Item, I was exchanging due to an inadequate size they told me I should order based on my measurements. All the Customer Service Representative (Alahandria)? was concerned about was getting my Credit Card Number. I asked how to contact the District, Regional or any Corporate Manager and was told they didn’t have one. They have a Team of Managers but no one I could contact. Very unprofessional. They might get a lot of one time customers but I for one will not be a repeat customer.

      I am convinced that David’s Bridal policy is designed to rip you off. I went into a location near me to find a dress for my wedding. After trying on a few selections with an associate I found one option but I was still shopping around at other places to be sure. The associate told me that I could buy this dress just in case being that my wedding is coming up soon and then return if I find something else. She informed me that I had 7 days to return after RECEIVING the dress which she said was estimated to arrive at the store around July 11th. So I took her advice thinking it would help and bought the dress. On 6/29 I called to inform them that I had found a dress and would like to cancel my order for the dress while I still had time. The associate then told me that I was 1 day outside of the return policy and I could not return only get a store credit and the dress had already arrived at the store on 6/26 (no one notified me of the dress’s arrival I was informed of the arrival date when I called corporate). I explained to her what was told to me by the associate that helped me and she said there is nothing else she can do. I called DB corporate and the rude manager stated that all I could get is a credit. I inquired about the terms of a store credit and asked if there was a way I could see it in writing since believing an associate's word caused me to lose $735. She told me no because she has been working there for years and issued several credits so just trust her. This is the worst thing that can happen while planning for your big day and already having to spend so much money. It is a very poor business practice and a horrible thing to do to people. I do not need a store credit for wedding items I already have and I do not need the dress so Im just out of my money.

      Ordered me 2 sizes too big in my wedding dress. Paying hundreds to get alterations done now. Also sold me a slip “that went with my dress” and it did not go with it at all. It made the dress appear way worst and you could see it in my open back dress. They hope you get your alterations done by them so that you can pay them hundreds of dollars to make the alterations. I put my trust in them with finding the one and they let me down big time. They know your budget when you go in there as well and then order you too big of a dress so you spend more money on the alteration end of things. I do not recommend David’s Bridal to ANY bride or ANYONE.
