My 2014 ***** became disabled in Aug 2022. I had it towed to Kightlinger in Oct 2022. It was confirmed to be the transmission control module which is covered under an extended warranty. I was told the part was on back order with no eta. I confirmed online that there were many shipping issues with parts coming in. I asked if a loaner was available and I was told there wasn't. I was waiting patiently until Jan 2023. I could not get an update from the dealer. I was contacted by ***** Customer Care due to a tweet I posted on ******** I was contacted by **** and told to tell Kightlinger to submit a request for a rental through **** program *****. When I called Kightlinger, I spoke to a couple different people who seemed confused but said they would call me back but nobody ever did. I contacted the **** call center again in Feb. They were able to get a Kightlinger manager on the phone. He told me they could only do a rental for ONE day. I asked about trading the car on a new vehicle. He said he would have sales contact me but nobody ever did. By this time I had been without a vehicle for 6 months. I missed many doctor ************ in this time. I had more coming up and really needed a vehicle. Especially since I still had to make a monthly car payment and insurance payment on the *****. After I was told I could not get a rental and it could be a year, I knew I had to buy a new vehicle. Since the ***** was not drivable, I could not sell it or trade it. Now I have TWO car payments. Today I discovered a supplement #5 release from **** dated July 30, 2021. Reason for supplement: RENTAL ALLOWANCE. It states "long-term rental claims for TCM backorders, regardless of coverage type, request rental coverage and submit claim using ***** program". It continued with instructions for the dealership to complete the request. Why was I told I could not get a rental? I would not have purchased another vehicle if I could have had something to get me to my appointments.

We are more than willing to work with ***** to bring this to an amicable conclusion.

It is unfortunate that the manufacturers (**** in this case.) are not able to provide dealerships (And customers in the long run.) with parts in a realistic time frame. It puts everyone in a very uncomfortable position.

We have made three separate attempts to contact her regarding the potential of purchasing the vehicle from her. We have not received a call back, thus placing everyone in a "holding pattern".

If ***** is willing to return our phone calls, we would be more than happy to work with her on purchasing the vehicle from her.

    Thank You.
