  Also left a threatening letter on my door. I call to understand where this bill comes from. The women who answers the phone laughs at me for not knowing about the specific tax that I need to pay. Just terrible people.

  Left a letter for me that was threatening and illegal. They said they would sell off any or all of my possessions to collect a debt. They claimed I had five days to pay them. They never filed a complaint in a court of law so they have no right to threaten that without a court judgment against me. They have squat. It was a dishonest scare tactic. I'm a senior citizen and not stupid. G.H. Harris is a bottom feeder collection agency. By the way, the debt is for $11.00.

  Very unprofessional company with no compassion or empathy for the people they work with. I received a notice in the mail about a late tax and reached out right away because i thought id already paid and had a check with the right dating on it. I was told I had to go directly to the school district, which I did. Even the school district collector thought id paid it and after a few MONTHS back and forth told me that he was going to let the school district and gh harris know that it was paid. Fastforward another week and he was told by higher *** it was the wrong year we were looking at and they needed me to talk to gh harris. I reached out, and questioned why they hadnt paused my account after learning theyd continued to increase the amount while i was in communication with the school district. They refused to work with me and stated it was my own fault. They went as far as to accuse me to making a mess to get away with not paying my taxes. This was all right before christmas as a lower income household. Unfortunately for local taxes, there isnt a government entity or organization that oversees how these collectors run their businesses, and the collectors know this and take advantage. A house representative attempted to help me resolve the issue and the office told me they were shocked by how they were talked to and brushed aside. The companys unbelievably rude and unprofessional demeanor made this entire situation more stressful. Their letters are filled with misspellings and were grammatically incorrect. They attempt to use legal jargon to intimidate the people theyre going after. I had no issue paying my taxes and it was a simple mix up, but the way they treated me (and many others from the other reviews ive seen) was uncalled for and crossed the line.

  This company is unprofessional. They do not know how to be nice for anything. They make it a point to degrade you and make you feel like S**t. They do not try to look into anything, they have the answers to it all. They say they send letters, but when you ask for proof, they say they pay for return service. So just because they don't get it back that is their proof. I don't believe that would stand up in court. They do no wrong and make it their job to point out your mistake over and over again. And when they respond to a complaint, they make it a point be the " big man on campus". They are untouchable, they are law, they are justice Just because you collect debt does not give you the right to treat people like trash.

  The worst customer service ever, clearly the lady who i spoke does not like her job very much. i called to pay my bill it she was extremely rude. she never told me her name. I asked to speak to a manger and she hung the phone up on me twice and when a called back and another person answered the phone and still I was not directed to a manger. This was by far unprofessional behavior and bad customer service that I've ever experienced, if your unhappy with job get a new one especially not in customer service.

  **************** is horribly rude. I've been disabled since 2021 and I got a notice from them saying I had 5 days to pay taxes for 2023 or they'd sell off my possessions. I called and they got an attitude with me several times and said they needed proof of my disability. I told them I had the papers but I'd have to look for them, because they were probably buried by now. She said "if you can't prove it, you still owe" ...I found it, sent the email and called back to see if they had received it. She snapped back "someone will have to read the email first" then hung up. I was polite the entire time, so there was absolutely no reason to be rude. All I did was explain my situation and all I got attitude back. It was like speaking to a pre teen mean girl. If I continue to be harassed, I will call the police.
