  A location for this business at ******************************************** has had numerous reports of theft filed with local police (10+) and have had an investigation going for over 9 MONTHS and keeps failing to provide customer's with proper security.

  Security is important to us, which is why we have security cameras and a digital gate with individual codes. We are sorry if the police have been investigating this for so long, but I'm sure they are working all avenues that they have! In the meantime, our overnight team has been personally monitoring the cameras and will call the police immediately if we see any suspicious activity.

  I rented the storage unit in ************ and it was later bought out by bolt storage. Once I decided to remove the vehicle from the storage unit mid October 2023 I contacted them by phone and told them the storage units empty. The girl who answered the phone stated that the property manager would verify that the unit was empty and clean because I have not taken a picture. So November rolls around and they take $143 for November storage. I called them and asked them why they took rent for the unit when they had been notified that the vehicle was no longer in the unit and that there was nobody in the **************** to take a picture and the property manager was supposedly going to verify the unit was empty. Bolt storage maintains that I signed a contract with them. However this unit was rented prior to them owning it and I never signed a contract with either owner everything I did was done over the phone with the previous owners. Anyway I finally was able to have someone get a picture send it to both storage still they have not returned the storage fee and today December 14th 2023 they tell me that I did not give them prior notice for the contract that I signed and I was not eligible for a refund for a unit that had been empty for 2 months now. Do not deal with them do not give them a card number or an account number this is a foreign company you will not talk to anyone except for foreigners. When I rented this unit from the previous owner it was I think 70 or $80 a month, bolt storage charges $143 a month.

  During the move in and out process (which is also sent when the property is taken over by our company) it states that to confirm a move out and stop billing a photo is required so we may confirm the unit is clean and ready for the next tenant. We send these instructions 3 times during a rental period to be as transparent as possible. Unfortunately, our company did not receive a photo until months later, thus billing continued. A lease agreement was signed on 10/14/22 and agreed to our terms and conditions. We are unable to go by a customer's "word" as units are not always left the way they were found. We understand the photo evidence of a clean unit can be inconvenience and we apologize.

  This storage facility was once privately owned ( I used to pay $93.34 a month)Then BOLT STORAGE bought this business out ( June of 2020) and immediately stated raising rates which started out at $97.52 and by October 2022 is charging $223.12 per month for the same unit. I moved out and requested a refund for the unused portion of November, which they agreed to and said I would receive $88.05 in a refund to my checking account. WELL here it is late December and 21 emails later and 4 phone calls an I finally receive a check in the mail for $78.51 a difference if $9.54, I have finally given up hope of receiving my entire refund and dealing with their representative, because Im just spinning my wheels. DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT FROM THEM unless you want to pay really high rental fees and when youre finished with the unit just try and get your money back, what a joke. Obviously these people make their money by overcharging and then keeping some of your refund.
