1 starIf I could give zero stars I would. I have been coming to this pharmacy for over 5 years, since moving into the neighborhood. There is always an issue getting my meds. Usually they don't have it in stock and even being on Auto fill, they don't order what they need in the appropriate time. With that said, my last experience was my last. I went to pick up my monthly medication and the one amazing employee they have working there, who knows me well, took my payment, and handed me the wrong meds (through the drive thru). I immediately caught the issue and this employee told me that she would get the other one ready and to come back tomorrow. She told me since I had already paid, that she would just transfer the payment to the correct meds for pick up. When I went back, the employee I always work with wasn't there. So I told the situation to the person behind the counter. After a lot of time of back and forth, showing my bank account and being treated like a liar and a thief, the checker went and got the pharmacist. When he came to the window so I could explain what happened, he brought his staff with him, including what looked like a security person, and told me that he didn't believe me. I asked him to call the employee who I originally worked with. He refused. I even offered that I would come back the next day after he could chat with the employee, and he refused. All the while making me out to be a scammer and a thief in front of his staff and customers. I called and went in and spoke with the manager who didn't do anything about the issue. It should be noted that our doctors advise against filling at this pharmacy. So my advice is to listen to them and take your business elsewhere. I am owed an apology.Review fromMeg P

2 starsAll of the sudden all of my prescription's information are gone on the app and I don't get why. I understand that the app is very problematic already but for someone like me- being able to quickly submit a refill request is incredibly helpful. Having **** makes it very difficult to follow through on chores and tasks. Having to call and wait to speak to someone is like a hurdle for me and I instinctivly avoid... Even though it is a very easy to do.I submitted a request to refill birth control around 5 days ago by scanning a barcode through the app but no one has contacted me. Of all the Bartell locations I have gone to the **************** has been the most problematic for me. And why am I always the friendliest person? Its like pulling teeth sometimes to get the employees to smile. I know it's an incredibly draining/thankless job. I wish better for them. But god I just feel like I'm bothering them with the most simple of requests and questions.Review fromCaitlin W

1 starI have had multiple prescriptions take more than 48 hours to process. These are prescriptions with a refill remaining. The phone re-ordering system is totally incorrect. I ordered my last prescription on a Tuesday evening. The recording asked if I wanted it at 10 am the next day. I was not going to be able to pick it up at that time so I chose afternoon on Wednesday. I did not receive a text so I waited and went Thursday afternoon at 12:45. I was told that it was in process and was not ready. I did make a complaint that it was supposed to have been ready the day before. She said that it was my insurance companys fault. That I should never come in before I get a text. After leaving at 12:55, I received a text at 1:35 that it was ready and within 5 minutes a phone call from Bartells telling me it was delayed. I told this person that called me that I had just received a text stating it was ready. She took my birth date and confirmed it was not delayed and was ready. I asked why it was delayed in the first place, and she said because they had no staff the day before. So one person blamed my insurance company and one person said there was no staff. I feel like the truth is not being told. I can work with a lack of staff for a day, but please dont pass blame to others. Tell the truth!!!Review fromOtto G

4 starsI have been a customer at the ******* Location for many years, when I read some reviews it lets me to believe that folk don't understand or don't care the difficulties of converting while still open, to another company and their process Including the thousands of us that use the Pharmacy on a bi weekly basis and them 4remaining HIPAA compliant! I'm one of the least patient guys there are, and was angry that things took time and I would storm out, then I started to realized what they were going thru, big turn over as some didn't want to work for a different company so it seemed every time I went in I had to deal with someone new.! The new policy of giving our birthdates out loud at the counter bothers me still, I then I noticed I had digits on my scripts that was always the same or my ID so I started thinking even in today's world how are they able to do it without closing. Yes some of the changes seemed to take forever and service was slowed by what actually is the ongoing efforts to become more streamlined and implementation of updated elements that as a customer service don't need to know but that you will see a huge improvement in all the above. I want to thank all the staff that puts up with our at times bad behavior and rudeness that you don't deserve. Keep up the great improvements and know we do care were just not very good at saying Im Sorry.Review fromMort K

1 starThe upper ******************* bartells pharmacy has come under investigation after a stealing schedule 2 drug called Vyvanse. The script was mine. Another pharmacist caught the first with my help by peeling back the label that was placed(their stickers from the printer) over the first. That occurred during the week(of or around) June 1st. Separately on July 24, 2023 they refilled my usual Prozac script. I met with my doctor on the 28th, 4 days later, and we tweaked the dosage by 20mg. The pharmacy on Monday July 31 gave me the wrong dosage of Prozac, after my doctor had called in a dosage change. They also no longer carry schedule 2 extended release ADHD medication, if any brand, not even concerta or focalin. They only carry instant release. But this only stands for some of the bartells and does not stand true for RiteAid, which they did not help me look up, another RiteAid was kind enough to help me find that out. In conclusion. Im driving to Tacoma. The store in Bartells below me wont provide me customer service or even check that I had a new dose. I asked her if she would have killed me gad it been something else besides Prozac that we changed. She said no. I said what about if that had been a MOA INHIBITOR (spelling). She said she was going to call corporate on me. Ive been a customer there for over 8 years. Her name is *****. Her RPH initials are ESL. I asked for her last name but she would not provide it. I merely wanted to call her boss, not post online about what maybe was just a bad day. But all I have is her Store and First name. How do I find out if she is a registered pharmacist. The short staffing and inability to perform the basic task of a Rph has me wondering. North ******************* Bartells, name tag *****. I could not see her face, she was wearing a mask and would not provide me with any form of identification or phone her superior to verify her pharmacy registration ID. She was alone during lunch when this occurred. No supervision.Review fromSara W

1 starBartell Drug is no more. Sadly, they were bought out by Rite Aid in 2020 and the transition to a cold, uncaring mega-corporation has been complete, leaving no stone of apathy or lack of professionalism unturned. Whenever I go in, there's roughly 5 people behind the counter, including two pharmacists, which leaves ************ for their negligence. The last straw was yesterday. Unfortunately I had given them a second chance. They sent me a text at 9:00 a.m. that a prescription was ready for me to pick up. I used their process called 'tap and pay' to pay in advance but when I got there they said it had been on the shelf for 13 days and had just been returned to their stock. Even though the text said to pick it up by June 13. I told them what I thought of their pathetic customer service and they bent over backwards to pass the buck, trying to blame the computer, and me. I informed them that they simply weren't doing the work of a pharmacy, that I could see why their customer reviews are so bad (two out of 5 stars) and that I was not going to keep using them. I used the word 'damn' in the process and the technician said they don't tolerate swearing there. Eye roll. I said, no, I don't tolerate people who won't do their jobs.I'm moving to *****************************************, who is one of the few independent pharmacies left in ******* and who gets 5 star reviews consistently. Despite their more limited hours I'm sure I'll be much happier there. It seems like every big box pharmacy in my neighborhood is still using Covid 19 as an excuse for why they stink at what they do. However, 4 years is plenty of time to remedy one's shortcomings in this business. It's a sure sign of a handful of monopolies who aren't worried about going out of business no matter how awful they are. Next I'll find the right government agency to take my complaint to, as well as the Insurance Commissioner -- I paid before I got there, and they refused to 'give' me what I paid for.'Minus stars' would be accurate.Review fromBetty M

1 starFilling prescriptions at Bartell Drugs is getting slower and slower. If I call, once I get to the place where I can speak with someone, the phone is busy. Last month, they sent my prescription to a different Bartell Drugs 12 miles away. When I told them I did not request that, they apologized and had it filled in 20 minutes but I had to wait around. I love shopping there, however. Gift and food items are good quality. This is very sad because I am considering transferring my prescriptions.Review fromHudson F

3 starsBartells has been going down hill since 2018. Covid just did it in and they struggled keeping product in stock. Quantity limits to keep hoarders from emptying the shelves. During mask mandates customers entering without masks were still serviced. When they should of been denied. Mask policies through out the countyr were hit or miss at being enforced. Short staffed stores. The pharmacies has always been hit or miss. Rite Aide buy out caused the stores to go into disaster. Empty shelves, lack of product, can't find anything I want so I just end up leaving... I use to love shopping bartells but after 2018 I have ceased shopping with them. Every once in a while I'll try but end up just doing a circle and leaving due to item shortages or reduced amount of items on the shelves from years gone by. Before rite aide buy out customer service was excellent. After wards it was hit or miss. Employees were very unhappy and it even showed on the floor level. I work retail or retail like jobs and you can't hide this from me when my eyes are always open to it. Why, oh, why did the family decide to sell Bartells off to the highest bidder? My family use to shop rite aide back when it was new and what ever caused a chain reaction in their store is now going through bartells. Rite aide destroyed a once upon a time good company. Business is down because people don't like ride aide around here.
