My husband called to have our driveway sealed. They said they would be out August 15. They called that day to cancel because of "rain" - there was no rain. They rescheduled for August 18. Two guys came out & did the work. It looked fine at the time, but we didn't go out for a close inspection. The next day, once everything was dry, we were able to get a close look at our driveway. We found one large (approx 3'x3') bare spot they had missed, plus dozens of foot prints & brush strokes. The guys that did the work wore tennis shoes & the sealer stuck to their shoes, not the driveway. Past companies have utilized cleats to prevent this. My husband took pictures of the bare spots & footprints and sent them to the owner. He apologized, said he had crappy workers & it was hard to find good helped. He even said he recognized the footprints of the one guy. He said he'd be out August 22 to fix the spots they'd missed. But on Aug 22, he called to reschedule for that Friday, August 26, again because of rain. They never showed up on Aug 26 & we haven't heard from them since. I contacted the business on their ******** page, but he refused to talk to me, saying to contact him using the way we originally set up our service, because he didn't have any address under my name. My husband & I have the same last name. We paid by check, which has both of our names & address on it. Apparently the owner has had so many complaints in the past 3 weeks, our issue has gotten lost among the others? I'm not sure how else he could pretend to not know who we are. I've looked at the bare spots again in the past few days & they're barely visible. The sealer surrounding them is so thin & has faded so much already in 3 weeks, it hardly looks like anything was done. So not only do we have bare spots, but the parts that are covered are poor quality.

******* **** has made slanderous remarks on 2 different social media public forums ******** and ******** *********** that we had ads on not our pages. When I saw them I immediately looked for her name in our contacts/customers list and I checked both forums to see if she had contacted us through either of them. I did not see anything with her name in either of them or have her listed as a customer in our contacts/customers list.

We will not discuss customer complaints in a public forum especially if they are not a customer. When asked her address she had a smart remark that we cashed the check. So we really weren't sure she was even a customer. Her complaints were about foot prints on her driveway after it was sealed and that her husband called and we apologized and said we would come back but would not give her husbands name. I do not have a recollection of it but we have many customers and we cant control the weather. If its raining at our office and the weather service is calling for rain we are not going to go seal the driveway just to have the customer complain. I dont remember everyone of them.

We dont even know who put the footprints on her driveway after we left if we sealed her driveway. She was asked to contact us through the same way she hired us we would be happy to take care of it if she was a customer. I then blocked her from on both forums since she didnt hire through either of them. If she would contact us by phone or email with the same name and address that we were hired through we would go back and take care of the issue even though we might not have put them there. We put caution across the entrance of everyone's driveway after we are finished sealing it. We are not responsible for someone walking on their driveway after we leave. Sometimes marks show up after completing but usually they blend in after the sealer has completely dried.

As with any customers concerns or complaints we attempt to fix their problems and make them happy, We would be happy to go back and take of the issue if contacted the correct way with the correct name and address that we were hired with.
I only now know her address now because its listed on the complaint.  She only wanted to make slanderous comments on our ads that are on public forums that she didnt hire us through. Honestly we should be filling the complaint against her for slanderous remarks.

Since I'm being accused of slander, I have included screenshots of communications from the business owner to my husband. In the email screenshot, he clearly takes blame & says he'll be back out. The text message screenshot shows the dates & him rescheduling our appointment, with a note that it's to fix footprints & bare spots. It's only slander if it's false, and I have the business owner's own words showing otherwise. He's trying to deny the footprints were left by his workers, but says he can tell they belonged to his worker.

This business owner admitted to being at fault, promised to take care of the issue, then tried to ghost us. I contacted his social media accounts, because he clearly was trying to avoid us since he has my husband's email address & phone number, but has made no communication in weeks. He's demanding we jump through hoops and only contact him in a certain manner - which my husband already did, by evidence of the attached screenshots. I'm not sure why we're required to continually contact him over something he already said he'd take care of & that we've already paid for and he gladly cashed the check.

At this point, I don't want this man or his workers back on my property. If he would have just made the situation right, like he initially promised, it would have been fine. Mistakes happen. But being ghosted for weeks, and now falsely accused of slander, I have zero faith in his ethics or work.

We request assistance with resolving Professional Driveway Sealers’ failure over a period of seven-plus months to timely and professionally complete asphalt repairs for which they received full payment. Rapid and proper completion of the work is an acceptable resolution. Failing that, we would seek a full refund of $1,982 as we anticipate difficulty in contracting with another company without redoing the partially completed work. In order to repair a retaining wall adjacent to our asphalt driveway, a portion of the driveway needed to be torn up. Before we gave a go-ahead for that work to Lawnworks in December, 2021, we were assured by Pro Driveway Sealers that they could do repairs in December’s weather conditions. On that basis, we informed Lawnworks to proceed with repairing the retaining wall. Pro Driveway Sealers sent us an invoice for $1,982 for the needed repairs, and **** ******* came on 12/22/21 to do the work. We paid the full amount by check at that time, as requested. However, contrary to his original assurances that weather would not affect completion of the work in December, Mr. ******* said the temperature was too cold to complete the repairs that day, promising to return as soon as there was some moderation in temperatures. The surface was left crumbly with loose pieces of asphalt. Over the following months, we have repeatedly contacted Pro Driveway Sealers regarding completion of the work, receiving multiple assurances they would come, only to have no one show up and no one contact us to explain reasons for delays or give an anticipated completion date. On the three occasions Mr. ******* did come (4/30/22, 6/1/22, and 6/24/22), he didn’t have proper or sufficient materials to complete the work. Most recently, we were assured he would complete the work on 7/1. He did not show, and once again, Pro Driveway Sealers has not contacted us to indicate when or if they plan to properly complete the work. A detailed timeline is attached.

**** came by yesterday while we were out and tossed some additional asphalt on the portion of our driveway that Pro Driveway Sealers is responsible for repairing. However, it clearly had not been compressed at all. **** did not contact us in advance or did not leave any note or other communication with us. When Mark called ****’s number, **** said that he no longer has the necessary compacting machinery — that it had been stolen. He returned this morning with the intention of compressing the surface simply by driving over it with a car. **** informed **** that was not acceptable.

Our expectation has always been that the work, including compacting the repaired surface, should be completed in accordance with professional standards of workmanship for asphalt surface repairs. Driving over it multiple times with a car is not an accepted industry standard.

It is readily apparent that Pro Driveway Sealers does not currently have the equipment or means to properly complete the work you contracted to perform. Therefore, we are seeking a refund of our money, as our only option for obtaining a durable repair appears to be finding another contractor that is capable of performing the work. By way of a cc, we are updating Better Business Bureau about this change in the status of our complaint.

Hi, ********. Wanted to update you. We have not seen anyone from Pro Driveway yet this week, nor have we received any communication from them. *** sent the email Monday indicating they would rent a compactor but have yet to see them.
