      Citadel underwrote a car loan, and I decided to open a credit card with them to use with my sole proprietorship. When the credit account was opened, I asked them not to increase the credit line, and they assured it they would not. Weeks later, I received a letter stating that my credit line had been increased. I called, requested and was granted the decrease, and was assured it would not happen again. Months later, I received another letter granting a credit line increase. Again, I called, demanded they reinstate the previous credit line, and stop increasing my credit line without my permission. They assured me they would not. After lowering my credit limit to where it should have been all along, I took a 38 point hit to my credit score. This makes it harder to get another line of credit should I need one, and increases the likelihood that I'll stay with a bank that's predatory.I'll be closing this account, but consumers should know that Citadel does not take your financial autonomy or health seriously and won't honor any control you try to maintain over your own finances.0/10 stars. Do not recommend.

      For years, we were with another bank. Had to get a couple issues addressed and it took a dozen calls and 4 weeks before we finally gave up. Called Citadel 800# and got great information (seemed too easy), then met with one of the folks in Eagle. She was amazing. Knowledgeable, professional, accommodating - and in one visit got us everything we needed. We're moving all our accounts to Citadel. She even walked us through the mobile app, which is incredibly well done and user friendly. Every interaction with their team has been exceptional.

      I have banked here for over twenty years. I loved the personal attention and friendly welcome. Then they did away with the tellers and replaced them with machines. Now it feels cold and not welcoming. They encouraged online banking so I used it and got used to it because it was easy to navigate. Then, as IT departments are always doing, they shut the system down for three days and then reopened with a new improved (not) system. Not everything from my accounts in the old system carried over. It is not user friendly. The support from the bank is totally impersonal. You deal with recordings and online chats with robots. It has been 28 days since the change and I am sill looking for answers. So disappointed in Citadel.

      Every single month for years I have to spend 30-60 minutes on hold with the fraud department for bills I pay every single month for years, and when I explain every single month, all I get is rudeness from the other end. The last lady said you don't have to take it out on me, I said how am I taking anything out on anyone when I'm just asking how this happens every month for paying the same exact bills at the same exact prices every month. I'm so frustrated with this bank it's unbelievable. As soon as I can change banks I am, and I recommend anyone reading this to heed my advice. Mostly everyone I talk to in this bank has been arrogant, cocky and always pointing the finger instead of helpful.

      I have been with citadel for over 8 years and recently had fraud activity on my account. And they are declining me my money back after I have proven that it wasn't even me. I even went and filed a police report which officer told me I should get my money back as well and they still have not returned my money! TERRIBLE customer service from a buisness that i have referred many people to. Should be ashamed to treat a loyal customer this way.

      I have a problem whenever I deposit a large sum of money at the Citadel Federal Union they place a hold for 10 to 13 days. I would like to have the sums available ASAP. I banked at their location on US Route 30 just outside of Parkesburg, PA

      I wish I could give zero stars. I have never experienced anything like the aggravation I get from this company. This morning I couldn’t buy a two dollar cup of coffee with my debit card, went online and it says they are having problems with online banking. I try to call their number to find out when it will be resolved, their main phone number truncates and tells me they’re having problems. an hour later I get through on their main number, and it sends me to some corner of the world where the guy who eventually picked up, had absolutely no idea that Citadel was having problems with their online banking even though it’s Post it on their website. Disgraceful.

      Good at first, NOT so Anymore. Everytime I go there, There's a new story about my complaint. Obviously, Citadel DOESN'T CARE about People who deposit money there of which, THEY MAKE INTEREST. AND HOW MUCH DO US CUSTOMER'S GET?

      I went in to Citadel the other day to open a checking account and I had a balance from an old account (not sure how that happened) seven years ago so I told them I would come back at a later date to pay the balance and open an account. Hours later my son got a notice that they deducted that balance from his account. Don’t even know if that is legal not to mention horrible customer service. My son immediately closed his account and we will never bank there.
