We cannot get ahold of anyone over the past 6 weeks to figure out why our mortgage has gone up so much. They are claiming we paid over over the expected amount for escrow yet were in the negative overall? Makes 0 sense. I have been hung up on and am furious no one can give us the decency to call.Newrez LLC

I had hurricane damage to my home. My loan is in good standings. I sent them 3 checks. One for ******, ****** and *******. I had no problems getting the ****** and the ****** endorse and sent back to me. The ******* check they have had it for a month and will not release it to me. They have had it a month. My insurance company has called I talked to K ***** at New Rez. She told me no problem gave me her email address. My adjuster sent her what she requested and still won't release the check. You get no where with these people. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I wish I could refinance and get away from this company. If I owed them money they would be vlowing me up.Newrez LLC

This company is a rip off very unprofessional and the same person will talk to you tell you they are helping you and putting in your complaint and you will find out that you talk to the same person again and they act like they have not talked to you. People if you have this morgage company pay attention to your payments and when they put in your payment because they will hold your payment so you are not able to pay off your loan. This company managers are very nasty and messy if you can help it DO NOT GET INVOLVED With THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND I FEEL SORRY For All THAT HAVE TO DEAL With THEM I HAD THEM AND WENT THROUGH A LOT CONSUMERS HAD TO HELP ME AND THEY DID.THANK Goodness.Newrez LLC

If there was a 0-star rating, I would have put that. This is a terrible mortgage company. I am currently trying to get a check endorsed for two weeks for a loss draft. I overnighted the check two weeks ago, and every time I call, I get a different person, and they tell me it's in processing. Meanwhile, I have been displaced for over a month now, and all I need them to do is endorse the check from my insurance company and send it back. My contractor is waiting to do the work, and they are holding up the process. I really don't understand why it takes more than two weeks to send me the check back so I can get the work started. I have been reaching out to NewRez for months trying to get them to resolve simple issues. The first time was when we tried to remove our *** from our mortgage and they took months to get back to us about the process even when I called multiple times to get the process started. It took a complaint with the BBB to get them to move things along. Fast forward a few months and they sent out a letter to us letting us know our *** was removed but they kept charging it to our account on random months. I called multiple times over the last few months to get someone to review our account and these charges that keep being pulled out erroneously and have gotten 10 different answers about the charges. I've followed up with cases that they gave me the case number on only to be told that they closed it without notifying me and didn't even investigate the charges. They even told me that they just finally got around to actually flagging our account as having the *** removed 6 months later! Even though we have an official letter letting us know it's cancelled.I wouldn't have caught this as we are on autopay and just happened to look at each statement. They keep transferring me around to different departments with different answers and no one can tell me why they are charging us for something they legally were supposed to handle. This company is horribly run and we never had issues like this with our previous mortgage lender. This company has a horrible reputation that keeps reinforcing how poorly they operate. If I could take my mortgage rate to another lender I would but they continue to bungle all chances to handle this professionally. Be cautious and look over every statement with a keen eye for charges that don't make sense. It looks like they do this often.Newrez LLC

I got divorced it's been not easy, but their help meant a lot to me and my daughters Newrez let me assume the loan with the 2% interest rate without having to do refinancing. Thanks to them we could afford the house payment and live respectfully. Their process takes time but very understanding people regarding personal situations. I greatly recommend Newrez and appreciate their support.Newrez LLC

This is the most mismanaged organization I have ever dealt with I have not missed any payments, and they have me as being **************************************************************************************** letters every two to three weeks saying they need more time. Their customer service can't do anything when I call, they keep putting it off absolutely the worst experience of my life with a lender. I have had five different homes and mortgages, and this is the only one I have ever had issues with DEFINITLY would NOT RECOMMEND. I would not recommend any stars, but I had to to submit this response.Newrez LLC

Either NewRez or Shellpoint is running a scam. I've had 4 "Unapplied" payments in the last 6 months. I've always paid early every month, have confirmation numbers, and the money has been taken from my account. I've been trying to rectify this for 6 months. Even had to hire an attorney after receiving threatening letters from Shellpoint. After reading the negative Google reviews about Shellpoint and all the consumers that are dealing with "Unapplied" payments, I decided to leave Shellpoint a BBB review. Found an Alert! about Shellpoint. The BBB sent them an Official letter on 10/24/24 about a disturbing trend of "Unapplied" payments. It's maddening.Newrez LLC
