    We just moved to our house and we had a lot of moving boxes/packing paper. We broke down and neatly stacked the boxes for easy pickup. We bagged all of the packing paper for easy pickup. The company picked up all of the trash except the boxes. I called the conpany and they stated the boxes need to be bundled and we had too much garbage. I asked for their policies stating that and was told their website and welcome email have that information. The website for j young refuse does not contain any information regarding the amount of trash or that boxes need to be bundled together. The owner and his wife were extremely rude on the phone when I pointed this out and I was hung up on. They stated it is common sense and I should know. I can't belive the amount of hostility the owners have towards paying customers. If they want to have policies for us to follow they need to have them in writing. Unfortunately they have contracted with our borough so we have no other option.

    Most customer's who move in to a new location do not put out all their moving materials at on time.

    Those that do when they call we explain that it is to much at one time and to split up the materials over a few weeks.

    We understand the moving process is overwhelming and people do not think about the amount that they have placed at the curb.

    The truck that was at this customers location took an extremely large amount of garbage. The equivalent of a 6 yard dumpster.

    We have different limits depending on the area we server and are not able to list each of them on our website.

    We have updated the welcome letter for this customers location to include the cardboard regulations.

    When a customer demands to know if we know is last name, and argues with all three people in our office, and is not interested in the information we are trying to provide, it does become frustrating.

    We have told this customer we will collect the cardboard boxes on his next collection day, as long as they are prepared properly.

    Doesnt pick up garbage when they are supposed to. They keep skipping my house even though Ive paid my bill. And then they refuse to answer the phone

    Customer called 2/28/25 Friday at ******. She did not leave a message and our office closes at 4:00pm.

    Customer called 3/3/2025 Monday at ****** to state her garbage was not picked up on Friday 2/28/25 which is her normal weekly collection day.

    The only other note about garbage being missed was on 8/16/2024. We did send someone back to pick up the garbage.

    We did check with the driver; he checked his camera and did say he missed her.

    We are in the process of scheduling a pickup for this customer.

    We DO answer our phones during NORMAL business hours MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00AM TO 4:00PM and have an answering machine for weekends and after office hours.

    They are regularly late on trash pickup, breaks things, and doesn’t clean up the mess they make. Horrible company. For example, I called today (a day after trash pickup was scheduled and asked if they planned on doing pickup. First they rudely told me there was a broken trash truck. Then I reminded them they get paid to pick up trash on trash day and that the neighborhood was dissapointed. She then asked me if I knew anyone that needed a job because they don’t have enough people. I then reminded them that’s their burden as a business owner. Customers don’t just donate money…they’re paying for a service. Worst “company” I’ve been forced to deal with for years.

    *** ******* called about his garbage not being collected on his regularly scheduled day.
    We did pick up his garbage the day after his normal collection day because we had a truck break down.
    We did apologize for the garbage being collected a day later and that the truck that collected his garbage broke down and that we were collecting that day.
    He was extremely rude to the employee that answered his call.
    We are short staffed and are actively hiring, the employee did ask if he knew of anyone looking for work, not to be rude, but because we are short staffed.
    I apologize if *** ******* was offended by her comment.
    We did have a few trucks break down in may and were repaired.
    We are actively making changes to minimize the inconvenience to our customers.

    Already have had a previous complaint about these guys. They've broken multiple garbage cans, always leave trash behind despite it being properly bagged and what do you know they left an entire can of trash behind AGAIN. Called the business and the lady on the phone was very snippy and said they would get in touch with the driver and find out what happened. Tried to insinuate that it was MY fault that the garbage wasn't properly bagged but it absolutely was. She said she would contact me back once she contacted the driver but never did. I gave them up until 10 minutes before they closed to call me back. I called multiple times at 3:50 pm and got nothing but an answering machine saying their office is open until 4pm. Completely unprofessional and amateur people. Never have had a problem with any trash collection people in the past but these guys are awful. Barely have had them for 2 years and it's been nothing but terrible service and problems. What a joke.

    We received this complaint on 9/11/2023. Was mailed on 9/7/2023 but was dated 8/18/2023.

    We received a call into our office from this customer that a bag was left in his can. Office employee tried to get information from customer, but he was very hostile and verbally abusive to her.

    She did tell customer she would have to talk to driver to find out why a bag was left and would resolve problem.

    Customer called at 3:50 on a Friday, we currently were unable to answer the phone and answering machine was utilized.

    We talked to the driver he was unaware that a bag was left, we scheduled a pickup for the following Tuesday with a smaller truck.

    Customer left a nasty message on our machine, calling our employees stupid and Morons. 

    When speaking to the driver he did not see any damage done to customers cans. Customer lives on a hill and has a sloped driveway. Employees on back of truck empty cans and leave them where the customer has placed them.

    When the cans are emptied, they are light and can roll and the weather conditions can affect movement of the cans. Our employees have no desire to throw his cans down the hill or around his neighborhood.

    We did send the smaller truck to pick up the bag that was left in his can by mistake.
