      I applied for a Studio in ************************* apartment which is managed by Scully company on 9/12/2024 and paid $75 application fee and $250 deposit. Then I request to tour the studio multiple times but they reject me. They said the room is not ready for tour. Until 9/19 I got a chance to look the room. Due to the Studio is not as good as expected I decide do withdraw application. They reject to refund me $250 deposit. They said if not withdraw application within 3 days after application I cannot get $250 refund.I request refund of $250 deposit. There are three reasons.1. When I apply online there is no three days cancellation policy shown on application form.2. I request multiple times to tour the Studio but all are rejected. And no one told me the three days cancellation policy as well.3. Until 9/19 I got a chance to tour the Studio. So three days cancellation should count from 9/19. That I cancel application after tour qualifies the three days cancellation ********* is not my fault to be able to cancel the application earlier because I did not have a chance to look the Studio.But they reject to refund my deposit.

      I live in a center city building recently purchased by Scully Company. I've had an ongoing issue with the building HVAC system pressure valve which has been emitting a high pitched sound and groaning noises indicating that there is an issue with the buildings water and pressure release mechanisms. It's been three weeks and even though management knows what the issues is, thanks to me constantly emailing them and providing recordings of the issues, they have refused to fix the issue. This is especially concerning as the building experiencing major flooding related to the HVAC system back in February causing more than 60 units to be evacuated to hotels for months!! Some apartments were so bad they had to be gut renovated. Scully is clearly no better than the last company (Buzzuto) when it comes to maintaining the property and I suspect that another major flooding incident is likely, especially since there was one back in 2019 as well. What's the expression? Three strikes you're out.
