I would like to state that the shop entrusted with ***airing my vehicle grossly overestimated typicality to ***air my car. On ***** the wheel fell off of my car while i was driving on the interstate. I was towed to Joe Mays Towing and Repair. My adjuster said a **** *** would visit the shop to determine if they could do the ***airs and the shop claimed to be able to make the ***airs, the work was accepted by Joe Mays, cleared by ****, and it took over 2.5 months to complete ***airs. Working with Joe Mays with insurance and the mechanic that was approved to do the work has been a nightmare every step of the way. The shop did not contact me for months while the ***airs were being done and refused to submit extra work through the proper claim channels, lied to me about what the cost out the door would be, and then allowed me to drive off of their lot in a car that was not ***aired. All of the work they had done on the brakes is faulty. I had it diagnosed at another shop to determine what was wrong on 11/30/24, three days after leaving Joe Mays. I was informed that several parts of my brakes are missing and/or incorrectly installed rendering the car unsafe. Upon deeper inspection of the work they claimed was finished, we found that my entire emergency brake system had been removed from the car and never reinstalled. Joe Mays overcharged insurance, let me be without a vehicle for months, and purposely misinformed me and **** at every stage of this claim. The diagnostics indicate that as a result of poor workmanship/installation, my car now requires a new set of brakes since the install malfunctions have destroyed the new parts. They also ***laced my battery with a dead one, and attempted to charge me for that. I do not trust them or their ability to ***air vehicles. The work that was done has effectively destroyed not only my driver-side rear axle but both my rear tires and brake system. I want my money back and for them to be held accountable for gutting my vehicle.
