Dropped off my 02 s10 for an inspection. knowing that it had a few codes and work needed complete. I was quoted all but $3k to replace spider injectors, valve cover gaskets, and the rear differential cover as it was ***** and may have leaked in the near future. This work took about a week. when I went to pick it up I was told I need to drive it to reset the monitors for emissions. Within 30 miles the *** was back on. The rear differential was leaking heavily, and none of the brake line clips were reinstalled onto it. never put my spark plug wires back into the looms. the thermostat housing had huge gobs of silicone oozing out of it. they smashed my intake and airbox into place to the point that the studs and brackets to bolt them down were bent under the airbox. I set an appointment for them to fix these issues and put my inspection stickers on. Arrived for my appointment and the only thing they could do was try to fix the leaking differential cover. They then told me that it still fails emissions and it would cost another thousand dollars for them to fix the same codes I already spent 3k to fix. (o2 sensor, distributer cap/ rotor, and a new thermostat.) I asked for a emissions waiver/exempt sticker at this point since I'd had enough with this shop.I was told they don't have an emissions tech on staff. stopped for gas on the way home to find that they kept my gas cap. I did the work that they said needed done and contacted the owner. He seemed sincere and wanted to fix all these issues personally. So once again I dropped the truck off. He did in fact fix some of the issues with there workmanship. The ones I hadn't already taken care of. So after multiple trips I finally got some stickers. After spending that amount of money I still ended up with an exempt emissions sticker and all the codes that were previously on it before any of the work was done. I would steer clear of this shop! the only person that seems to know how to work on cars is the owner.

***** I apologize for all the issues with the vehicle do to staffing issues. As for the codes in the vehicle you are correct in the thermostat code however the primary codes were p0300 p0302 and p0304 referring to multiple cylinder misfires when the truck was initially diagnosed. The work performed for emissions was to address these issues. Those code had never returned after work completed. Additionally we did request you drive the vehicle to set monitors that I agree however Additional codes returned. The vehicle we had never worked on before this with 200k miles we could not predict would throw other codes. You addressed your concerns with me about the quality of work and how you were treated and I personally made sure that you concerns were addressed. I do thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Unfortunately I cannot oversee every job out the door. Our staff undergoes consistent training and the technician directly responsible for this event is no longer employed by Joe Mays ****
