I saw my neurologist in January who ordered a ****** monitor. I went to my local hospital, where they assisted me with the set up and after the monitoring, I mailed the device back. I paid my physician's office and thought all was well. I received a notice in the mail on 11/10/22 that the ****** monitor company sent me to collections for an unpaid bill. I called the collections number and let them know I had never received a single statement or call from this company. I have not moved in two years, so that wasn't the issue. This company outright never sent me a bill, then sent me to collections. I called my hospital and doctor's office and both confirmed they sent the insurance information to Biotelemetry (******* as it's the only insurance we've ever had being military). I had no idea they were even a third party that would bill separately and would have gladly paid my bill had they actually filed a claim with my insurance OR sent me a statement! *** is assisting with appropriate billing, but this never should have even been sent to collections when they made zero attempts to even reach me!Business Response

I'd like dispute the $101.45 charges that BioTelemetry is claiming on me. I received the attached bill from the company. I believe it was an abuse of consumer protection. Before my doctor prescribed the monitoring device, I called my insurance and BioTelemetry and confirmed that the insurance has the full coverage and there was no extra out-of-pocket charges that would incur. However, I received this bill. When I called BioTelemetry, the representative said they would have to charge this because they didn't receive the full payment from my insurance. They even admitted that this is very unusual that I have to pay. I told them that I confirmed there was no additional payment before I did the monitoring. BUT the company don't listen. I have to file this compliant to protect my right. Please help to tell BioTelemetry to keep their promise, removed the $101.45 claim on me and be an honest merchant.Business Response

BioNet, LLC has sent 'my' account to a collection agency. This after I spoke with them twice to inform them that they had the wrong person. I was assured the second time that my address and contact information had been removed. So what happened? They haven't done their research to know that the last name of the person they are looking for is extremely common. They never asked my date of birth or cell number. Which confirms they have the wrong person. Additionally, on the date that the service they offer was performed, I was working at my full time job. I am really annoyed and frustrated that I now have a collection agency bothering me. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!Business Response

On my first and only visit to a cardiologist I was slapped with a heart monitor and to "just to see" if I had a covid booster shot heart related side effects and had developed a heart conditions. I wasn't offered an EQG or any other tests during my visit. I would this that would the norm before taking this approach but I've never been to a cardiologist before. The office staff speedily placed it on my chest, I was told to wear it for about 3-5 days and my insurance has been checked and that it was covered at 100%. Let me be clear, I do not have heart issues, never had heart issues and foremost currently do not have heart issue. I wore it for maybe 3 days, send it back via mail. Fast forward and in September 19th 2022 I received a bill for $9,000, Insurance Payment $0, and Total Adjustment of $8,064, and billing me for $936.00!! I called Biotel and asked on 9/19/2022 and was told to pay a portion before I was sent to collections. I called again and asked if I could get a detailed explanation of the bill. I was mailed an explanation that literary said the same thing as the bill. No explanation of services just the billing amounts. I called again and asked for the bill to be reviewed because I should not have been give a device at such high cost "just to see" when there are so many other method and BioTel said the amount was high because it was a "newer type" of device. I called the Dr. office asking who dropped the ball and was left on hold for 25min. Called back from a different number and was told the Office manager (Susan) was going to reach out to their BioTel rep. because on their end it shows I should NOT have received any bill at all, not $9,000 and not $936. I am still waiting but I am at the point of feeling the threat of by this bill to go out on collections in Nov. 1st, 2022 and ruin my credit while am in the process to purchase a home. If this happens my family and I will be completely displaced. Coming here is literary my last resource.Business Response

I ordered an online glucose meter that was supposed to connect to a health monitoring system. In addition to that I also bought a 12 month contract that included the meter and necessary testing supplies at a cost of $24.99 per month for a period of 12 months. I am not sure of the exact date of the purchase but it was sometime in August of this year (2022). I have been charged for the contract for August and September. The problem is that BioTel has not supplied me with the necessary meter. Without the meter Biotel does not know or need to supply me with and of the necessary supplies, since I am not using the meter.Business Response
