The Biotel heart monitor that I was prescribed was absolutely terrible!!! I just sent mine back a few days ago and put in a call to my Cardiologist to complain about the unit. It caused hives, red bumps, and severe itching. I felt like clawing my chest. The first 24 hours the monitor kept saying: “no communication” it would not pair to the sensor. It also repeatedly kept saying to keep the monitor close. Well the thing was sitting in my lap, then I laid the monitor on my stomach, on my chest, and still kept saying the monitor was not close so it wouldn’t sync. Had to call customer service. I purposely tested the unit at numerous times. I left the monitor in one part of the house while I was on the other side of my house and the monitor never once gave me a notice that it wasn’t syncing. At this point I have no clue if it even accurately recorded any data at all. I will never ever use this product again!

BioTel is a corrupt business that rips off the government and patient. Half the time there was no connection between them and the cheap phone that was provided.
I accidently lost the SENSOR DEVICE during a heart scan while at a hospital visit. This was reported to them.
They have harassed me for the past 4-6 months in trying to get me to pay $995 for just the sensor. MEDICARE sent me my billing statement that shows the total cost of the heart monitoring set to be $990. MEDICARE advised me to not pay that amount for only the sensor!!
They received a certified letter from me at their location on 1-24-22. This letter included a request for an invoice to show itemized costs of each individual components. It also had a copy of a $6.4 million dollar federal lawsuit against it for fradulent claims against the goverment/patients.
With this information in their hands, they continue to try to swindle me out of the money. I reported this matter to the Dept. of Justice and to the Dept. ofHealth and Human Resources.
THIS BUSINESS SHOULD BE FURTHER SUED AND SHUT DOWN!!

I wore their monitor for a week and returned it a week later. This was the end of April. So far I've had no report, and none was sent to either M Fairview Hospital, or our Allina carrier. Nobody has heard anything. Nobody seems to care but me. I am really curious if there is a cause for my shortness of breath. I am still breathing so apparently that was not a problem? Or is it?
