The PCI Auction East Coast website was easy to navigate and to review items for sale and bid on.
The directions and process to secure item that I bid on was easy to understand.
The people at the Manheim site were helpful and assisted with placing the item in the trailer.
The item that I purchased was a single stainless steel sink with sideboard. The condition of the item was fair to good. Which was what I was expecting.

Shady business, items Not as described. I get it, it is an auction, items are sold as is. However when an item is represented, described, and pictured complete and working. You expect it to be. That was not the case. When I received my item. It was clearly broken in pieces. But the pictures showed it complete. And I do not mean the stock pictures they use all over their listings. These were pictures of the actual product.
Instead of owning up to their mistakes they make up excuses, and refuse to do what is right. Very poor customer service. Wonder how long they will stay in business?
I read several reviews about their total lack of good detailed descriptions. And the response by their management on how they provide the best descriptions possible. Well...... Here's how they do it. Learned this talking to their employees. They have a person taking the pictures. The images are then sent to someone in an office who writes the description based on the images. The person writing the descriptions never actually touches the products.PCI Auctions East Coast, LLC

I should have looked here first and seen that they have a habit of screwing over customers!
We bid and won an espresso machine that looked great in their pictures and they listed that the only thing wrong with it was that it was missing a hopper lid. When we went to pick up the item, the front was off the machine and we could tell the wires were cut. I called the espresso machine company and learned that wires are cut when a machine gets decommissioned and the front plate is broken so that it cannot be hidden that its a decommissioned machine. When I emailed PCI to let them know this, they just keep informing me that there was no way for them to know the item was broken and per their policy, they will not issue any refund because all items are listed "as is". I explained that they had to know it was broken and chose to be deceitful in pictures and descriptions, but still getting no where with them. I told them I would give them one more opportunity to make it right before posting reviews, and here we are.
So, Bidder beware. They are very deceitful and will not accept any responsibility when wrong!!!PCI Auctions East Coast, LLC

As our team informed you, we are unable to test every item and unless the item description specifically states "Tested and Working" we cannot validate the state of the item. We encourage all bidders to visit our warehouse to see the item in person or call our office with questions. They should not be in business Money hungry people. I had a bidding from the weekend that I usually will pay cash since they would charge $10/day storage fees no matter what size the item. It could be a piece of paper and they would still charge the storage fee. I run a a restaurant and their office manager and their staff was badgering me during a lunch rush demanded a $15 payment. I said give me a moment; I was in lunch rush. less than 2 hours later she emailed, called and texted demand for the $15 payment and proceed to disable my account. She is a new manager and the previous manager never done ridiculous action like this.
This is an embarrassment to me, and my business and I deserve public apology on my Google review.PCI Auctions East Coast, LLC

Overall I've been buying from PCI for several years, since meeting the owner as part of a Chamber program. Auctions are something that requires attention to detail and acknowledgement that there can be grey areas of information. However I have experienced PCI staff well overall and the products live up to their descriptions.
I think the equipment you can buy through PCI can be a great deal if you're mindful of doing your own research and having clear expectations around what it is you're bidding on.PCI Auctions East Coast, LLC

Item not as listed. Auction said it was a steam table. When I got it home, there is no plug, no electrical box, no gas hookup nothing that can make it actually heat. Contacted them and they cannot understand the difference between a steam table and a cold table. They keep telling me it was listed correctly that it is a steam table. When I ask for them to explain to me how it is a steam table with no way of heating anything I keep getting the same response, it's a steam table. Great customer service, all you do all day is deal with restaurant equipment yet know nothing about it.PCI Auctions East Coast, LLC

We have looked further into your account and the item's photos, bid sheet, and description in order to better understand what led to this confusion. The table you won is able to be used as both a steam and a cold table. We do understand that purchasing an item through auction can be challenging and because of this include a variety of photographs to show the current state and we also encourage bidders to visit the warehouse or call with any questions. The table has multiple photos online that showed all sides of the unit and allowed you to see that there was not a current heating component and that the buyer could utilize the table in the manner they preferred. The original usage of the table was as a steam table which is why it was labelled this way however it may be used in whichever way you prefer. 1 starI bought a walk-in cooler unit that did not have a compressor with it. The post did not say complete. Not having a compressor, I understood. When I picked it up and took it home I found I was missing panels. I called them and they said they needed 24-48 hours to look into it. It took them a week to get back to me. In the meantime I contacted the manufacturer and got the build sheets I sent them to PCI. The cooler freezer combo I bought has 56 panels with it and I received 25. PCI after a week said all sales are final. We are not doing anything for you. I feel they tried to split the box in to two big ticket sales. 5 starsI was skeptical when I first bid, but then I won a cooler. Drove to NJ to pick it up and all my worries were gone. The staff loaded the cooler into the van without me ever having to get out or do anything. Then I got a 4 burner stove top and a coffee machine. I got the items for pennies on the dollar. I've been extremely happy with the service, ease of bidding, and everything. So much so that I've introduced a few co-workers to the auction site as well.Review fromDan S.

Very dissatisfied - the description of the product was different then what I had bid on. I bid on a water oven that clearly stated it came with the lid. When I picked up the item it did not have a lid. When I pointed this out I was told that all pictures trump any descriptions. I felt as though the item was listed with a lid because it clearly increases its value and I would not have bid as much if I knew there was no lid. The description clearly stated in bold print with lid. The girl behind the desk told me I had to read the small print and it included a waiver that states they are not responsible for misdescriptions - which to me was more a false advertisement than a misdescription. I asked to talk to the manager and was informed she was out today(Friday) and that she would be back on Monday but is always in meetings so she didn’t know when she’d get around to calling me. I asked for her number and was told she only used her personal phone so I could not call her I’d just have to wait til she decides when to call me. I had asked if the bid could be reduced by the cost of the lid which I would have to order ($25.00) to which she laughed and said that is not going to happen.PCI Auctions East Coast, LLC

I also informed the girl that I would be traveling cross country on Monday and would be in California which is why I asked for the managers number knowing I probably would not be able to contact her until I returned. They called and left the same number and when I returned the called I only would get an answering machine addressed to ther same girl behind the counter - I left a message and they never returned the call.
