The billing department of this organization has a lot to be desired. I have been trying to get a refund for an overpayment for services for the last six to nine months and every time I reach out to them, I am told that the insurance company is still processing the claims for services. this is a flat out lir because I reached out to my insurance company and a customer service rep advised me that all my claims have been processed and paid. I paid $1,135 in response to a bill I got in Feb, 2023 and less than a week later, I got a revised bill for $575,51. The difference was because there were payments from the insurance company that came through for payment. I reviewed the bill, and did not see my payment recorded as a payment. Since February, I have been trying to get refunded for the difference, and nobody has paid me a penny. It's also worth noting that I reached my maximum out of pocket months before this billing period. Every time I speak to somebody, they are going to tell me that they are going to "escalate the call" to a manager and somebody will be in touch with you "in two to three business days" but no follow up ever takes place. This is so unacceptable. This is the same story I hear over and over again. If I owed this amount, my account would have been turned over to a collections agency by now but since the shoe is on the other foot, they can take their sweet time and jerk me around for months on end. Shame on you!! This is not good business practices.

This is a terrible, unethical business. I started occupational therapy in January and received my first bill from Nova Care on 3/15/2023. At this point I have a huge surprise bill. I noticed, from an itemized insurance company statement for a few of my therapy sessions, that I appear to have been double and triple billed. I contacted several Nova Care workers and no one would discuss it with me. I was told to leave a message for the manager of the office where I received services. I did so two weeks ago and he has not responded. I also requested an itemized statement from Nova Care several times. A customer service representative named Britney told me on 3/13/23 that patients are not allowed to have itemized statements but that she would send me something called a "line item" immediately. I never received it. I paid $600 on my account and have the receipt for it. Nova Care credited my account for only $123. I have filed a complaint with Nova Care but frankly am not expecting a response.

We have emailed the patient the information requested. We noted there was an error in posting the first payment to the incorrect date of service. We have corrected and provided contact information, if there are additional questions or concerns.

As with others here, I received physical therapy at a location in Ohio in May and June of 2021. I was told multiple times by the front desk receptionist that because I had two different insurance policies (mine and my husband's) that I would not owe any money. I asked more than once for her to confirm if I should be paying a co-pay as I was attending sessions. SUPRISE! May of 2022 I received a bill for almost $1300.
I will also comment that anyone considering using Novacare needs to confirm the cost per session in addition to confirming insurance coverage up front. The first sessions with the actual physical therapist was $641! The next one was $553. Sessions with the assistants were slightly cheaper, but when you figure a session is 50 minutes, and each time I spent the first 8 minutes on a stationary bike - I spent a LOT of $$ riding a bike - and I have one of those at home I could ride for free.
I had physical therapy a couple of years prior to this at a smaller, local office and it was 100% more helpful and cost considerably less. So people should do research before going to Novacare.

This company treats prospective employees very unprofessionally. They will rush you, only for them to take a long time to respond back to you and with excuses. The recruiter does not give you a phone# (unprofessional). The job application doesn’t allow you to proceed, unless you give the company 7 references & then they have to fill out 14 Pgs. Mine took the time. I was professional & very patience when dealing with the entire process. The interview went well & was told I had the job. The ofc mgr left me a msg advising me they wanted to offer me the job but was waiting on 1 reference. Basically, pressuring me. I pushed my manager to do the ref, while on vacation. Monday, i apparently was texting a wrong# (my fault) but also sent a msg to the recruiter. No response back. Giving me the impression my last reference was not good, By late afternoon, I finally contacted the recruiter to withdraw my application, to save both of us the embarrassment of having to call me, with the bad news (not getting the job).
Not soon after, the ofc mgr leaves a msg asking me to call & that she was “confused”, because everything came back great. Really? Then why didn’t she call? I guess all my efforts were still not enough for Select Medical. Regardless, I called her back and she was all chipper “Hi! Yes, everything came back great” (totally acting like everything was fine). So, I apologize for the wrong text#, why I withdrew and then said “I’ll leave it up to you”. Immediately she gives me a lecture on not calling her at the ofc. I explained that I followed her instructions with texting and also reached out to the recruiter. She continues to lecture & says “no, I don’t think so, it’s a red flag for me”. Now with a rude tone. How childish & unprofessional. Just tell me in your voicemail. Very unforgiving & she also said the recruiter said I was very angry, which the recruiter denied. The compliance employee was unbelievably rude when I filed a complaint. How is he in that position?!!

I had a bad experience just like the person before where I was told I had no copayment then after going for two months received a surprise bill for a lot of money and so I called the office plus stopped by for the patient portion of the bill which I was told I had a zero co payment .
This is the receptionist because my therapist was on vacation in Hawaii with his family . So I called the company to let them know the part does the billing in Pennsylvania that the receptionist printed out the bill for me . I have a financial hardship with trying to pay this bill on a limited income which is retirement and have no money left at all living in a house at 74 years of age .
But my issues were never resolved at the physical therapy office in Crystal, Mn. and have to talk to someone to get some justice for this bill and the care this time was not beneficial at all.
But I had not had a bad experience with the company or physical therapy or billing before are I would have never went back but this time things were rushed in therapy and lied to by receptionist.

I had Physical Therapy on several occasions at a Nova Care in Minneapolis from 2020-2021. Through some terrible blunders by the billing department it was found that I overpaid by several hundred dollars. I have been fighting with them for two years through emails (mostly unanswered) and phone calls (mostly clueless employees) only to get promises of "I promise to get back to you within 24-48 hours" for the last two years. Today I heard the refund has been cleared to send and to expect it within 4-6 weeks. What? To send a check through the mail. These things are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my complaints causing me great frustration and anger.
