I purchased a new car at Valley Honda Monroeville PA and asked to return the car and the Pontiac solstice. We called and they said this is not possible. Honda Civic and does not fit in my garage $26,200. My husband also gave them the title for my Pontiac solstice, all together 29.000. My husband called and they said maybe 21.000. something is wrong. My husband's son just told him the car is sold. I purchased the new car and we immediately called and told them it would not fit in our garage.

This message is in regard to complaint ID # ******** dated June, 18, 2024 by ***** ********, We find this complaint particularly perplexing due to the fact that the width of the purchased vehicle, a new 2024 Honda Civic @ 70.9 inches wide is narrower than the customer's trade, a 2008 Pontiac Solstice @ 71.3 inches wide. I personally discussed this with the ********* multiple times on the purchase date of June 7. Valley Honda sold the Solstice to a wholesaler on June 12 who committed the trade value amount. Valley Honda offered the ********* fair market trade value for the 2024 Civic. We now consider this issue complete.

I took my car in for an inspection. I needed new brakes and also complained of the car stalling. The mechanic advised that the transmission was defective from the factory but that I had to pay out of pocket to replace it. The car passed inspection and there was no information about the transmission documented in my take home paperwork. A service bulletin was issued by Honda about the specific transmission problem for my vehicle which indicated a new transmission was the fix. When I first bought the vehicle, the transmission was recalled due to not working with the airbags.

    To whom it may concern:

This letter is in response to BBB complaint ******** filed against Valley Honda.

It is indeed correct that Valley Honda performed service to the customer's 2016 Honda CRV and diagnosed that the vehicle needed a new transmission. The customer is also correct that while we verbally explained the required repair, our written documentation was lacking.
Honda did release a service bulletin on the customer's vehicle however the mileage of approximately 88k miles is well beyond the manufacturer's warranty.
We would like to help the customer with discounted repairs since she is a good customer of our dealership; however, several attempts to contact the customer have been unsuccessful.

    Sincerely,
