Will not return phone calls re: work that they did. Initially, 2 people came out re: a refrigerator problem. They misdiagnosed the problem & it took several visits from another technician to finally correct the problem. at a total cost of several hundreds of dollars. A question recently arose re: a change that the technician had made. I have called several times over a period of a few weeks to please have the technician call me re: the question I have. Needless to say, NO ONE has responded.

This company is a complete SCAM BEWARE..
My wife found then through home advisor by angi. As soon as my wife put in my request for dishwasher repair a gentleman called her to schedule, which was impressive given it was a Saturday night.
She told him that I had already spoken to GE and they sent us the parts but I was in over his head to complete the repair.
The gentleman said no problem and that is would help that that parts were already here. He told me he could get me on the schedule for Tuesday afternoon which was a relief as we were without a working dishwasher for a week already.
Tuesday comes and we get a text that the tech is one his way, the tech showed up over an hour later said that he didn't have time to fix it today as he was to busy and that I could probably handle it himself. When I said we hired you to fix it he refused said he was to busy insisted we pay the $109 service fee and said if I can't figure it out myself to call back and reschedule. He was here a max of 5 minutes ( I have camera footage with timing) refused service and charged us $109. We have and infant in our home and were not going to fight the man about the payment.
We spent the last hour trying to call the company to get them to send someone out to actually do the work but we just get routed to a call center that puts my in an endless loop of hold music.
It seems they call schedule scam you then don't actually answer their phones.

Unfortunately, the user interface board on the customer's dishwasher was installed incorrectly. Correcting this and then testing the machine to confirm proper operation would take more time than our technician had available, and we offered to return the following day to complete the repair. The technician explained the process for correcting issue in case the homeowner wanted to attempt the repair themselves(since the homeowner had attempted to install the parts prior to our arrival). We offered to return the following day to correct the issue, and the service call fee would be applied to the final repair cost should the customer decide to do so. Customer refused next day return to correct the incorrectly installed part.

I will say, unfortunately what the business is saying is to save face and not factual to what occurred.

The tech never offered to come back, I was told that if I could not figure out how to fix the dishwasher myself ( I am an accountant not an appliance repair person) to call back for an additional appointment.

When my wife finally got ahold of the owner/manger the next day he insisted we were offered a next day appointment by both the tech and the call center. Which was a blatant lie. He also told her the tech diagnosed our unit as having an control board that was installed backward.

    1) the tech didn’t not even see the control board as he would have had to take time to take the dishwater apart and actually look at it to make a diagnosis. He did not make any effort to do any diagnostic work while he was at our property.

    2) it is actually impossible to install a control board backwards. The additional company that we had to hire to come out and do the work confirmed that when they fixed the dishwasher.

When my wife asked if she could hear the recording of the call where their call center offered her an appointment the next day the owner refused. Which we assume is because he knew as well as we did it was a lie.

During that call he did offer to send someone out that day but additional charges would apply. At that point my wife and I were both at work and did not trust the company enough to welcome them back into our home as they had proven to be unethical and unreliable.

In the end we hired another company to come out and fixed it, who was able to preform the repair and have us up and running using the parts GE said we needed and had previously sent. It took them less the 30 minutes in total. To date Bear is still refusing to refund us even though they preformed no service.

It is a shame to see a company post such FALSE information to save face.

First neither my wife nor I were offered a next day appointment on the 25th.

The tech showed up at our door to “fix” our dishwasher only tell us he didn’t have time to fix our dishwasher. He then proceeded to tell me if I could not figure out how to fix it myself ( I am an accountant not an appliance repair man) to call back and they would schedule another appointment. Why did he even step foot in my house that day if he didn’t have time to do what we hired him for. It was nothing other then a money grabbing attempt to waste my time.

When my wife finally got through to the owner/manger on the 26th (next day). He insisted both his call center and tech offered to reschedule the appointment for that day, which was a blatant lie.

When my wife asked her hear the recording of the call where they offered to come back on the 26th, the owner/manager refused. Likely because he knew as well as we did it was a lie.

On that call he also insisted that his tech did diagnosis our dishwasher in the few short minutes he was at our house, his diagnosis was that the control board was installed “backwards”. Which is funny given the only way to make that diagnosis would be to see the part which would have involved him taking about the dishwasher which he did not do.

Durning this call he did offer to send another tech out that day to fix our dishwasher, of course additional fees would apply. At this point my wife declined the second appointment, based on the previous days experience and the fact that everything this man was claiming was lies. We had already scheduled an appointment with another company for the next day as well as.

The other company came out and was able to fix our dishwasher promptly with the parts that GE had us order previously. When we asked them about the diagnosis Bear supposedly gave they laughed and said it was actually impossible for the control board to be installed backwards.

In all I have paid a reliable company to fix my dishwasher quickly and Bear to do nothing other then charge us to essentially knock on our door. I will continue to try and get a refund from them, but am not hopeful they will do they right thing.

Please be careful and do not use this unethical company.
