I purchased a used engine from them on October 25th, 2023. All seemed fine until my mechanic called and told me that the engine was damaged. There was a broke spark plug that actually broke off inside a cylinder. He advised that this engine should not be installed into my car. After several weeks of emails to the warranty dept as well as a a statement by my mechanic with pictures of the defects, the picked up the engine from the shop and sent a replacement engine however, delivered the replacement engine to a different garage. I tried to contact them though email and phone however, no luck. I literally stayed on hold for over an hour waiting for someone from the warranty department to pick up but no one ever did. I called for 2 more consecutive days with no luck and no email response back to me. I eventually called a towing company to pick up the engine and take it to my mechanic which cost me 200.00, My mechanic called me today, 12/5/23 and told me that the 2nd engine sent was not suitable either. There was coolant inside the engine that turned to rust so he felt that this engine had a major issue in the past and gave me a 50/50 chance that it would actually turn over if installed and if it did, he would worry that the engine would cause another issue with the cart in the long run. I should have done my homework with this company however, they were referred by a reliable source. They have complaints and lawsuit's all over the internet including a suit from the DOJ. I am mentally drained from this company and do not have the time or energy to go through this process again as I have a very demanding job. I tried calling again however, no one ever pick up the phone. I push 6 for the warranty department however, left on eternal hold. I financed the engine with *** ******** and have already made 3 payments of $22.00. I did reach out to them and let them know what the situation was, they were very understanding. I want this whole transaction cancelledInitial Complaint

On October 10, 2023 I paid $1830 for a **** engine. I was told that I would receive an email with a tracking number anywhere from 4 to 7 business days. I have made multiple attempts with the business trying to seek out a tracking number and have received nothing when I call the business line I get put off to a third-party shipping Vendor who is speaking off of a script and tells me the same thing every time that they will look into it what I am hoping for as a resolution is somebody with a little bit more authority to make contact with a business manager or owner to expedite my engine that I paid for to the location in which I provided.Initial Complaint

Purchase a Engine for 2007 ********** ****** on 6/21/23, receive 3 weeks later. Installed it on 8/25/23 during installation notice certain parts was different; tried different way to make this engine compatible to vehicle and was unable. Contact the company on 7/31/23 by phone and I was informed that they are going to do a replacement. Heard nothing on 8/2/23 contact by phone and was sent to the warranty department and was informed to picture of the engine, and email the engine code on the block. (informed them that the engine was in the car already and was told to take a picture of the original engine in which I did. Over several weeks of call every other day no one state that they would need engine back to do a replacement but finally on 8/31/23 I receive a email for pick up of the engine in which was pick up on 9/07/23 and have been in their possession since. I have called several time and only been getting the stall tack ticks. They have been rude and constant put on hold and no one comes or send me to different department and stating waiting for shipping department or manager to respond and they will get back to me once the hear something. None of the above happen I called today 10/12/23 for the 100th time and was rudely inform that the sent email and for me to check my spam. In which I inform them that their was no email and it funny that all along I've never had a problem receiving email from them. Then after the young lady hung up the phone she sent me a email with no problem. We have had the customer car in our possession since 6/20/23 and they have been patiently waiting. They took back the engine and kept our money; they abasically are thieves. How can you do business like that. All we want is our money back.Initial Complaint

On 01/19/2023, I ordered 1: ********* (Used Engine) 2015 *** ***** Engine 6.2L (VIN *, *** digit, opt ***) 5 Year or 50K Mile Parts & Labor Warranty for $8080 from engineandtransmissionworld.com. I have the email confirmation receipt. The order number is #******. I signed the email link receipt and completed the transaction at 09:09:04 on 01-20-2023. On 01/24/2023, I received an email stating the order (#******) was "being processed" and "will usually arrive within 7-14 BUSINESS days (excluding weekends & holidays) from the date you submitted your order." On 02/08/2023 and 02/13/2023, I received shipping delay emails. Finally on 02/27/2023, I received a shipping email stating that the engine had been shipped. The Engine arrived to the mechanic's shop approximately 3/20/2023. I called several times leaving messages asking about the process for returning the core for the $500 refund for returning the core, per the purchase agreement. On 03/23/2023, I received a response from **** stating they would charge me $679.54 to pick the core up for shipping and then I would only receive $500 refund. This was not stated in the original purchase agreement. I chalked it up to not fully understanding the process. On 04/05/2023, I called the company because according to the mechanics the engine had multiple faults including low compression, backfire into the engine, an oil leak, and a timing issue. The company's warranty department gave me 5 days to complete the necessary documentation or the warranty would become void. It was completed within the 5 days. I requested a refund. I called numerous times requesting updates and was not provided any updates other than "it's processing". Finally, The engine was picked up from the shop on 05/02/2023 for return. I received a call on 06/01/2023 from **** requesting the VIN number of the ***** for completing the return process. I was informed that the money should be back in my account within 7-10 business days. I have not been refunded yet.Initial Complaint

Ordered a specific used engine that had already been tested and in working condition per the claims on the website. Two weeks later (after the engine was to have already shipped) I contacted the company and was told that they hadnt shipped it yet as they had yet to pull and test it - even though they alleged the engine had already went through all of the testing necessary before they offered it for sale. They also processed my nearly $4k payment the same day that I had ordered the engine- not knowing whether they even had the engine they promised. Upon arriving at my mechanics- it was very apparent the engine not only had not been tested as indicated- but the engine was damaged beyond repair. There was no paperwork with the engine regarding any testing that was done. When i contacted the company- they sent me warranty paperwork wanting me to have my mechanic install the engine- then file the claim with the second party warranty company. I told them my mechanic wasnt going to install a badly damaged engine. At which point there only resolution was that I could pay the $1k to ship the engine back- plus a 25% restocking fee per their policy. So their 'policy' is to defraud people out of money and send them junk parts- then when they want their money back; they have to pay the shipping AND 25% of what they were already paid. There are multiple reviews of their shady business practices everywhere but on their website. Their website makes them look like a highly reputable company- which they are clearly not. Every review is BOGUS. There is no way to make a legitimate review of this company.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2018 ******** *** *** engine from engine and transmission world on April 6 in the amount of $3830. The engine was to be shipped in 7 to 14 business days. It is now May 2 and the engine has still not been shipped. When I called to ask to speak to somebody about it, they’ve given me a series of excuses, starting with they were still testing the engine. Then they claimed that the delivery service failed to come pick up the engine. And now the last couple of excuses have been that the engine is on a truck bed waiting for someone to pick it up. That excuses has been going on for two weeks. I cannot get anybody to call me back or email me to explain what exactly the problem is. My only correspondence has been with somebody at customer service who doesn’t seem to know anything or a standard email. Anytime I’ve asked to speak to a supervisor, I’ve been transferred to extensions that, do not take voicemail or have been hung up on. I don’t know who else to turn to to try to get this matter resolved because my wife’s car needs an engine and this is dragged on far too long.Initial Complaint

I purchased a used 2015 ******* *** engine from Engine and Transmission World on 2/28/2023 for $3,130, Invoice #******. As of 3/9/2023, they had still not shipped out the engine or provided a tracking number, and I decided to take another route so I canceled the order. They said it usually takes 5 business days to issue a refund, and on 3/17/2023 I e-mailed the order cancellation e-mail to request an update. I did not receive a reply so on 3/19, 3/21, 3/22, 3/23, and 3/24, I called and asked for an update from the customer service/warranty department, ext. 6. The lady on the other line gave the same answer, each time, they had heard nothing from the accounting department but would e-mail them to get an update and get back to me. They do not have a number they will give out to escalate this. After an order is canceled, they are required by law to issue the refund in 7 days, it has now been 15 days. I believe I am a victim of fraud.Initial Complaint

Date of purchase was 10/22/2022 Account # ****** Purchase amount $1,655.00 Good morning! I am writing to you on behalf of my husband *********We purchased a used 2008 ********** ****** used engine from Engine & Transmission World. First of all it took them like 3-4 weeks to deliver it to us (Should of been 2 at the most) Once the engine was received it was installed by a factory trained ********** tech. Upon installing the engine there was sand & other debris inside the engine, also the engine had low compression. Once we called them to get formal instructions on the return process the engine was picked up. We did receive a credit of $351.25. They are charging us a restocking fee of $413.75 for a engine that was pulled from a junkyard car & a shipping fee of $890.00 which should not because it was picked up from a business. I have called them many times, & I have spoken with numerous people but once they ask you for your invoice number & you tell them your reason for calling they say they will transfer you & hang up on you. I can provide pictures but I will need your email address to upload them to you. If you have a chance you can see & read all the complaints about this company. We have learned to read reviews before purchasing online. I can be contacted at ###-###-#### & email is *********@*****.com. Please help us resolve this matter. Thank you, ***** * PS. I can explain a lot better thru phone conversation
