  On 5/27/2023 my car was towed by Lew Blum and was held for 2 days. Upon arriving at the location I believed my car to be, I found it missing and believed it to be towed. I saw one of the signs for lew blum nearby and so I called their number to inquire about my car. I was met with profanity, attitude, and a general lack of assistance with my situation. I was told that they did not have my car, yet loe and behold as I walk around the neighborhood hitting the panic button on my car when I suddenly hear the horn go off. And where is my car? Sitting in the lot of this abhorrent and disgusting establishment. I called back again and was once again met with attitude and indecency. I was directed to walk around this small alleyway where I was greeted by a single employee who had no idea why I was there. This tow company then claimed that their credit card machine was broken and so I had to find an atm. After getting cash, I went back to get my car, and I was informed that they couldn’t give me change. At this point, I was so appalled at their obvious lack of decency and integrity that I just didn’t got in my car and left. This is the WORST excuse for a business I have ever seen. They are the lowest and most pathetic scum of the earth and I truly hope they are shut down.

  Hello we are in a tough business and no one likes it when you take something from them without their permission. the way this person is talking about us is the same way we were treated when she called and when she picked up her vehicle.. we have no ill will against this person. thank you Lew Blum Towing Co Inc.

  Lew Blum told me to call the Police in order to get my car from his lot. My car was towed from **** ********** ***, Philadelphia PA by Lew Blum Towing company (###-###-####) on Tuesday 8/2/22 between 7-9:30 PM. There were no signs in or around the empty lots. All business attached to the lot are vacant and boarded up. We finally found a Lew Blum towing sign at the 10th Street side of the building - a block and half away (and not visible from) where I parked. When I called to find my car the man on the phone was aggressive, used abusive language, hung up on me twice, but did eventually direct me to *** ** *** ** to collect the car. Once we arrived, there was ONE man at the tow lot. He was also aggressive, cursing and had no information about the car or why I was there. He was yelling and screaming profanities about the man on the phone who had directed me there. Man in the lot told us to call him back, which I did - only to receive more inappropriate language AND he told me to CALL THE POLICE on his employee, in order to get my car. I was directed by the man in the lot to a dark alley (Willow St) until these two men eventually decided to take my money and give me my car. Lew Blum signs stated they charged $125 for towing, $25/storage. These two charged me $281 to get my car, which I was away from for 2 hours. They told me my car is All Wheel Drive, which is why it cost more. My vehicle is not AWD. The amount of vulgar behavior, name calling directed both at me (a tiny woman) and towards each other, incessant hang ups (requiring me to call back 6 times) and the general feeling of helplessness I experienced during what should be a simple transaction was ABHORRENT. Doing your job is acceptable, but this business is a Menace to Society. No person should have to endure such abuse whilst attempting to conduct a business transaction. More importantly - LEW BLUM SHOULD NOT BE TELLING CUSTOMERS TO CALL THE PHILADELPHIA POLICE DEPARTMENT over such a matter.

  always two side to a story when we were called the person making this complanit was very belligerent towards us. like we have always have said what reason do we to be upset . our towing signs say 175.00 hook if a vehicle is all wheel drive or front wheel drive we have to use dollies her vehicle is a front wheel drive we could not hook vehicle from the front we could only hook from the rear that is why dollies were used. we have pictures to show.when we tell people to call the police is because they give us no choice.
