    I haven't been able to get a response from anyone other than an employee in the apartment building's office in the past week when pursuing escalation. I sent the following email: Richmond, VA Police ************ Case: ************ Detective ***** I spoke with the detective re: stolen vehicle. *********************, Why I need to speak with you as soon as possible is due to retention of security video. I did park in a spot in ********* lot that was recently okayed for parking via email and verbal via *****. It is a rectangular area with room for two vehicles (semi-truck length). There are no lines, bumpers or anything outlining the spaces. I pulled in and parked around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, 9/6/22. By evening, someone had pulled in front of me, a bit on the grass, and then it appeared as if I had double parked, but I was first and the car in front of me was actually double parked. I saw video footage with ****** confirming my statement, but still nothing was done to remediate the fee for having my car returned when it was wrongfully towed / stolen. I did call ********  City Police and filed a stolen car report. A detective called me and I advised him of what I've just shared with you. As it was the person after me that was in the wrong, please review footage and consider crediting my account. Again, I did not park over any lines or extend into another spot. I may have parked near the bottom of the parking spot, as to prevent being parked in, (as I have seen that happen many mornings on the days that I must go into the office). Please review your security footage and you will see it was not I that was in the wrong. I am the kind of tenant that makes the place better than when they got it. I have removed all scuff marks off the walls, scraped paint off cabinets, appliances and flooring. I, also, very much follow the rules and am a very considerate neighbor and human.     To Whom It May Concern:  Our team at ***** Apartments resolved *** *****’s complaints. Her car was not stolen but rather towed off-site as the car appeared double parked. Our team agreed to refund *** ***** the amount of $80 and *** ***** agreed with the offered resolution and the credit was given on 9/21/2022.  No further concerns from *** ***** have been presented to date.
