      I have contacted Reliance Standard over 20 phone calls trying to get them to reimburse me $215.45 for a check my provider *********** gave them to reimburse me for a colonoscopy done June 2022, as I had 2 plans at the time and they are supposed to refund me the overpayment. Reliance Standard Life Insurance Co. Specialty Products Administration 505 South Lenola Rd Suite 231 Moorestown, NJ 08057 ************** I cannot believe they keep promising to mail me this refund and yet they don't mail me this money they are just holding it hoping ...I just stop asking?? I called October 30th and they said to wait 10 business days for my ck#****** from *********** to be processed and refunded to me, Instead I got an explanation of benefits showing they got my refund and yet they are still holding this money like it's their profit !

      My complaint is based on the deceptions and obfuscation presented by Customer Service representatives when I have called to cancel the Multi Year Guaranteed Annuity contract. The original investment, arranged through ********* ****** (broker and intermediary) dates from early August 2023 and a policy and informational package was sent to me confirming specifics of the investment. The original premium was in the amount of $50,000 and was sourced from my SEP IRA account with ******** on August 23, 2023 directly to Reliance. Having decided, within the allowed window, to cancel the account I returned the policy, brochure, Annuity Policy Deliver Receipt marked canceled and dated and signed on September 21, 2023. A cover letter was included (both documents are attached herein). I did not receive any confirmation of this material being returned. Instead in mid-October I received an email from a ********* agent saying Reliance required hold harmless language in my letter of cancellation (Why did Reliance not inform me directly? Was this a delay tactic?). A second latter of cancellation was sent, including such language, to Reliance on October 18, 2023 (attached herein). No response. I have called Customer Service on several occasions and have been given the run around of promises made to close the account and return my premium. The account is still active. On November 7 I received a voicemail from Reliance Customer Service basically saying that they anted the interest payment mad for September to be returned before they would return my premium. This account should have been closed in late September and the premium returned. The account is still active, they have my money to use and yet not only do they not pay interest for October but they want paid interest returned and will not release my premium.

      I filed a short term disability claim with RSLI toward the end of Aug 2023. On Sep 8 2023 I was contacted and was told that my claim was approved from 8/9/2023 to 10/3/2023 and my 7 day elimination period was satisfied and I that my initial payment of $2000.00 will be deposited into 1-5 days. I have not received my payment. On Sep 15 2023 I received a direct deposit of $1000.00 which is my weekly short term disability payment. I did not and have not received the initial payment of $2000.00. Contacted RSLI and was told that due to a error in my routing number the payment wasn't posted and it has been corrected and I that my payment should post in 1-3 days. My payment has not posted. So I called customer service as was told that the payment is pending waiting to be resent by RSLI on today Sep 20, 2023. There is no reasoning this should take RSLI this long to direct deposit my initial payment of $2000.00. I was told that it was re-sent to my bank then I'm told it hasn't been. So what's going on?

      Reliance Standard is delaying **** transfers. This is the 3rd of individual **** transfer requests (with different agents and insurance companies) since February 2023 that failed for one reason or another.

      This insurance is bogus they will not pay for anything pre existing or not I know my claim was put in in a timely manner and they have yet to pay for anything I paid my co pay on authorized things and received a letter that they haven't paid a dime and I wonder why can't get anyone on the phone to explain why..tru scam by insurance company wow never thought working and paying for something that's not worth it
