      I really would have liked to give them one star, but you have to choose to give at least one. This company is the worst. I've had the insurance for more than 35 years, and for the first 30, they were excellent, but lately, I say in the last few years, it has been a nightmare to deal with them. I know they recently got a new CEO, and she might be the big problem. I'm not certain; it's just my assumption because things got really bad when she took over.They will try to deny claims for the most routine medical care. They will stop paying your doctors. They will try to say that your insurance is canceled while they are deducting hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars from your account. My spouse and I were paying a ***** fee of more than $1,500, and we were both told that we were not covered for a year. Yes a year while they took $1500 per month or $16,000 out of my savings account. In fact, they tried to backdate claims that they had already paid over a ine year period!If you call customer service, they act as though they are clueless about what you're talking about. I really believe they're trained to be intentionally misleading and even lie. It certainly seemed that way to me. I had one representative tell me that we were not eligible for the ***** plan we had paid for when my employer absolutely assured me that we were eligible for the coverage. It took weeks of back and forth calls and emails to get it straightened out, and my employer said that there was no excuse to be treated that way by ******* advice is to tell you to run as far away from this company as you can. You'll be sorry if you insure with them. I am so happy to be on ********. Goodbye, from a loyal customer whom you tried to take advantage of. What a disgrace.

      We are a small Borough in ************. Our payments were sent and our checks were cashed by the bank, still we were cancelled in April although they continued to cash our checks as of June 2, 2025. When contacted we were told to contact our Broker, after having done so, our Broker reached out to Independence and was told there was nothing that could be done, we'd have to sign up as a "new group", by one ***, another *** gave an amount to pay to reinstate although again, checks were cashed. When reaching out to that *** again we were told there is no *** by that name at the company. Our Broker has been calling hoping to speak with a manger, I have called hoping to speak with a manager and was told it would take ***** hours for a manger to call back, all the while our insurance is still terminated. The ***s have been useless, only stating that there is nothing they can do, our Broker will need to call, our Broker calls and gets the same ridiculous answer of there's nothing we can do. We'll see what happens if and when a "Manager" ever calls back. This company is not what it used to be, I don't know what happened in 2025 but I beg of you, do not use this company. I'm not sure of any other viable options but I am certainly looking into it. Always demand a "Manager" don't bother with customer service, you will get nowhere. Please please please do not let your employees deal with this, choose ANY other company.

      Ive been taking ****** for 7 years. In 2025, *** made a formulary change and replaced ****** with a bio-similar from Fresenius, Idacio. Im supportive of utilizing a less expensive product. From what I can find, the net cost for ****** was $2,100 and the net cost for Idacio is $525. Now heres the issuewhile taking ******, I was provided a co-pay card from the manufacturer which reduced my out of pocket expense for every month of the year to $5/month. I was just informed that my co-pay card for Idacio was just exhausted and I now need to pay $470/ month.*** is being a corporate pig in this situation and s******* members like me as its saving almost $20,000 per year by forcing me to use the bio-similar and also now causing me to spend thousands of dollars per year in out of pocket expenses. September is my companies renewal period and as a company owner, this is the first time in over a decade that Ill consider moving to another health care provider.*** should be ashamed of themselves by how they treat their subscribers.

      Weve been insured by them for over decade. Never had a problem until the beginning of 2025. Almost every time we go to the doctor now they mess up the claim. They cover partial on none. So I have wasted hours of my time calling and sorting this out. It is always a mistake on their part which is eventually fixed. If I didnt fix these problems we would have been responsible for thousands of dollars for their mess **** They have blamed it on codes or just said it was a mistake. It is now May and I want this figured out. We have 5 people in our household and this is too much work. It all started when they sent us new id cards with new numbers. I am beyond frustrated at this. Just received which I assume is our 30th bill which should have a regular copay and it says theyre not covering $65. Now I have to call once again and waste another ***** minutes of my time fixing their mess **** Its unacceptable at this point.

      IBX (Independent Blue Cross) is a FRAUD and absolutely useless Health Insurance Company. These folks are full of scammers, their all customer care calls go out of the *** and then despite several issues-tickets, they neither acknowledge nor solve any of the claims and subscription issues. And when you escalate by sending the "registered letter", IBX will delete the entire records online and terminate your insurance despite swallowing nearly a thousand dollars per month for several months and now they don't even have records on their online profiles!!IBX was declined by all locations of ******* in the *** for all tests few months ago. They have been declined by Creative Health and all sorts of business due to their horrendous notoriously vanishing from the scene when needed help!! Save your time, effort, and energy and get Health Coverage from other PAYERS/Insurance companies.Please ******* and don't do any business with *** or its associated companies.

      *** in November stopped paying my insurance claims. I was not notified by any means , that I need to fill out a COB form. I never had any other insurance company other that Independence Blue Cross I have called emailed and mailed forms to get this fixed . So after 6 month, I will cancel the policy which is thru my wife. I find some other place for insurance. I will pay the **** claims myself but I will never go back to IBX nor suggest to anyone to get this insurance.

      Been fighting with them for over two months about a claim that I can never speak with anyone directly about. This insurance is a scam and shouldnt be allowed to operate. I would encourage anyone having these issues to send a complaint to the Attorney General in **, enough people complain maybe something can actually be done. You have to provide documentation etc but I would assume if youre writing reviews that you probably already do that. This is the worse insurance Ive ever had a will tell anyone that asks how terrible it is.

      Mostly great customer service ****** although sometimes difficult to understand due to English not being their first language. However, I called today and although the customer **** was very polite and was adamant he could help, he said that the notes about my previous two calls were not in the system. I did not want to start from scratch.
