      Medically necessary and prescribed blood and plasma transfusions result in nasty grams and claims reviews. Medical outpatient surgical procedures that could be done in the same facility on one day and be anesthetized only once become separated into two separate procedures on two separate days where you're anesthetized twice increasing the danger of mortality and placing stress on a body that is already medically compromised. These greedy dirtbags want extra money for different doctors, anesthesiologists, facilities, supplies, medications, and as many fees that can be conjured. Warning: prices listed on the published disclosed price lists are no where near as high as actual prices that are already negotiated between health insurance a-holes and for-profit medical facilities. Additionally, medically necessary testing (CAT scan or MRI) to check for additional or remaining blood clots or thrombus/embolus is not approved or carried out leaving the patient with lingering life endangering medical issues. This business entity is exhausting to deal with on a regular basis across multiple family members. Tired of the greedy for-profit healthcare shitshow.

      Independence Blue Cross Keystone Health Plan East should be called "Manage Your Own Care - Good Luck While We Do What We Can to Deny Service." Keystone has put me through the obstacle course of pre-approvals and capitation-related denials despite a short surgical schedule. Bureaucratic nightmare. Providers don't know the rules. An MRI was scheduled by my capitation provider but apparently at one of their non-capitation sites (now that Jefferson Hosp. has bought up all others providers in the area). I, as the patient, have had to make countless calls to providers and to Keystone to resolve the issue, not something anyone wants or needs when surgery is looming. No resolution still. Keystone is great as long as you don't need specialty services in the near future. Disgraceful!
