I have been WRONGLY CHARGED for a visit I NEVER had. It has been 2 months since I have been charged. I have called the billing department, spoken to several representatives, and all say my money will be refunded, but nothing happens.
I have asked to speak to a manager on several occasions and there's never a manager available. They are always "in meetings" or "out-of-office". I just recently got off the phone with Alexis, a rep in the billing department; as I was speaking to her, she placed me on hold and I couldn't finish my sentence. At the end of our call, she hung up on me without responding to my statement.
This is unbelievable. I'm never returning to this office, and I have already changed my account information. THIEVES.Rothman Orthopaedic Institute

2 starsI had an appointment today at the Rothman Institute in Willow Grove Pennsylvania. my appointment was for 11:10 AM. I was told to arrive 30 minutes before my appointment. I arrived around 10:35 or 10:40 AM.
Everything went smoothly until it was time for my appointment I was checked in. I had my x-ray by approximately 11:00 AM. I sat and waited and waited and waited. I finally asked one of the receptionist how much longer it would be. She told me I was next this was around 11:25 AM. I was taken back and put in one of the examination rooms. Again, I sat and waited. At around 11:31 AM. I asked when I would be seen. I waited an additional 10 minutes and then decided to leave. I told the nurse that the doctor could call me if there was any concern regarding my x-ray. Dr. Namdari called me and told me that my x-ray looked good. Explain my frustration with him and he did apologize. I am extremely pleased with his ability and interaction with me. My frustration is with the Institute itself. They scheduled the way they do so that they do not lose money. They have no problem with patients waiting to be seen. My time is just as important as their time. The physicians are not the problem. it is the institute itself .Stop being so greedy .Review fromann g

I had back surgery in 2009 and a TKR in 2016 at the Rothman; the doctors were excellent and the staff was okay. Forward to 2023. I only had a consultation but the medical assistant who reviewed my information was rude and condescending. Everyone seems to act as if they're doing you a favor and they seem to have very little time for your concerns. Rothman has become a money-making monster. And I'm never going back...Rothman Orthopaedic Institute

I wish I could give -10
I am outraged by the care given by one of the doctors at the Rothman's clinic in Orlando, FL.
17 days after suffering a fall from skateboarding, I went to the clinic for an appointment as my forearm and wrist hurt a lot.
An x-ray was taken and according to the doctor's diagnosis, I had a small fracture on the head of the radius and there was nothing to be done, it would heal with time. I asked about my wrist as it was hurting so much and the answer was that it was fine and all that conversation took no longer than 5 minutes and the original charge was $1,470 and after adjustments, $524.16(I felt ripped off by this clinic)
. 40 days after the appointment, my wrist still hurts and today, 2/13, when talking to the doctor's assistant, he told me that the doctor only treated the forearm, because they only treat ONE PART OF THE BODY AT A TIME!!! ! that is, although I have several injuries due to a fall from a skateboard, I have to go through several consultations to treat one part at a time, this is insulting and I won't even go into the question of the amounts charged for this clinic.
Advice to everyone, STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!!!Rothman Orthopaedic Institute

My son has had a reconstruction of his right arm after it healed poorly after being treated at a Pittsburgh hospital. The arm was now straight and we were pleased. He had an open wound at his biceps since the surgery. It’s now been a year, and it has not healed. It oozes fluid, and clearly needs more intervention. All they do is pack the wound and have a nurse change the dressing twice a week. My son is 29 and Autistic, he is unable to participate in activities such as swimming and playing ball. He lives in a group home, and unfortunately we are no longer his guardians due to unfortunate circumstances. Because we are not guardians we have very little input into his care, but the young man is suffering. I can not understand how the Drs at this facility can continue to ignore the obvious issue of his wound not healing and potentially leading to a serious infection such as sepsis.
What Dr. Would let an unfortunate person such as my son suffer for so long. I guess a Rothman Orthopaedic Institute Dr.Rothman Orthopaedic Institute

My father went to Rothman in so much pain from his hip and Dr insisted it was coming from his back. They had x-rays and MRI to show how damaged his hip was. They wanted us to go back to the back Dr and I told them it's his hip. The Dr assistant made an appt for 4 days after the conversation. In the mean time I had already made an appt to get another opinion. We went for the second opinion at a different facility and the Dr said it's definitely his hip and he needs it replaced ASAP. He was able to get him in quickly and he is now up and walking with no pain. After my experience with my father’s care at your facility, I would never recommend your services. The doctor and his staff clearly had no interest in accepting my father as a patient. But rather than being honest about their feelings they chose to push us aside with a ridiculous claim that it wasn’t his hip. Very disappointed that they allowed my 79 year old father to remain in pain for that long. Sincerely, Jennifer K***Rothman Orthopaedic Institute

Our experience with Rothman Institute (RI) was deplorable and disheartening, Our extremely active 83 year old mother walked into their facility to seek treatment for knee pain radiating to her upper thigh. They took an x-ray that revealed arthritis with bone on bone in her knee and prescribed an anti-inflammatory and PT. She went to PT within 5 days of her RI visit, but they would not treat due to her extreme pain and near inability to walk. We went back to RI to the same Physician Asst. (PA) to express her inability to walk/stand and receive PT; she was given a different anti-inflammatory and an injection in her knee (no pain relief). On week 3 another PA prescribed an NSAID and ordered an MRI which couldn't be completed because she couldn't straighten her knee enough to enter the machine. On week 4 she was seen by a Physician who prescribed a steroid and once again an MRI which couldn't be performed. In our visit the following week the Physician order a CT scan of her knee and femur and we asked to include the back (he mentioned this at our prior visit). Before we could return to discuss the scan results she ended up in the hospital with an uncontrollable bleeding ulcer (from all the pain meds per the hospital physicians) that caused her to nearly lose her life and need multiple procedures over 1 week to stop the bleeding. It is 5 weeks later and she is still trying to recover and regain her life. We feel that RI was negligible in their treatment due to the lack of a diagnosis and repeated NSAIDS over a 4 week period, Another orthopedic group immediately that examined her while in the hospital recognized her issue to be caused by a back problem without any tests. Our experience with RI was disconcerting, shocking and emotionally debilitating.. We will never use RI for any treatment needed in the future.Rothman Orthopaedic Institute

Horrible patient service at the Workers Compensation Department. My insurance adjuster called and sent Emails to confirm authorization but secretaries answering phones with a very nasty demeanor couldn't find the information in the system and didn't feel necessary to look into it any farther and hung up the phone on me after telling me that she doesn't argue.. huh?!!Rothman Orthopaedic Institute
