Guy shot a BULLET into neighbor's apartment - luckily nobody was hurt.
We felt unsafe after this incident but Village at Auburn (IRT Living) wouldn't let us out of the lease without penalty unless we signed a NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (attached).
That ****** me off so I refused to sign. Paid the penalty and very happy to be out of there! But want potential residents to know what kind of place it is -

They sent me a email saying I owe $150, ok I try to pay it for weeks. I go into the front office, they say to email someone. I email them, they say go contact the front office. Then they sent my bill to collections, even when I have been trying to pay it for over 3 weeks. Really unprofessional.

****************, managed by Steadfast Living, has to be the worst property in *********. I fully understand the intent to update the community and the units when a complex is over 10 years old, but to market this as a "luxury" community should be illegal. We were misled into believing we were getting an "updated" unit, but only got one with cosmetic updates (granite countertops and track lights). I spoke with a leasing agent about coming out to see a unit (not the one we would be living in- just anything) and they assured me they would be able to show me something. I come out and they tell me they don't have anything available to show me. Issues began as soon as we moved in. Appliances were all over 10 years old and barely worked. It took maintenance 8 days to get our dryer vent hooked up to allow us to even use the dryer. We found mold and mildew in all of our air vents after less than two weeks in the apartment. They were professionally cleaned and the tech suggested replacing the vents. Prop manager at the time said there was no need for that. Mildew returned and when notified, their solution was to spray paint over the mildew. It took months and we finally had to threaten legal action before anything was resolved. These are cheap, shoddy apartments and they are taking advantage of people by charging these insane prices. They claim to be "competitive with the area", but a 2020 new build is only charging $200/month more than they are for the same kind of layout. They will charge you 2x your rent to break your lease, even when you've lived in a hellhole with constant issues. They also don't tell you that they will be taking your last months' utilities from your security deposit and only give you back a quarter of the actual deposit. This complex should be shut down and this management company should be held responsible for their unsavory business tactics, especially when it involves their tenants living in a health hazard of an apartment.

Made complaint after complaint with management and 98% get no response. Roof leaked water into our master and 3 weeks later someone comes out to look at it. Never checked for mold or structural damage Cabinet/sink in master is pulled away from the wall about an inch. Ceiling in master is water stained. Walls are cracking, floor in kitchen is soft and the laminate floor is cracking. Stove burners barely get hot enough to ****., The large mirror falls off the wall in the master bath today and after 7 phone calls I get met with an attitude from the office manager who said I am busy what do you need? Seriously? Over $2000/mo for rent and this is how we are treated?I then tell her I'm filing a complaint with her corporate office and BBB, she replied, " you go right ahead and do just that" then hangs up!

IRT Living is the worst property management group- fyi it is a trust funding company therefore; they only care about their bottom line. Moving from bella terra which **** and ****** are awful as maintenance. **** is rude, lies to your face and believes her own lies. have complete work orders, do not customer service 101. being nice does not get the job done when you are lying, half doing. I have no received my deposit and it has been 30 days. i was told by corporate it will be e/i s week and i will be checked on. i was never checked on. i found out today per **** it takes ***** days. wonder why there is mixed information. practices are all over the place. d+ is being nice.moved to hearthstone and the property ***** d+ as well. i want to know why i owe, money and cannot and can't be told why. being told i don't work for the account but, was able to speak on it at first. grounds are trash- leasing agents do not know customer service need classes in it. i was told today i should not have moved here. bad practice, liars, mailboxes not usable--- could have been mention at the time of move in - or before since the issue was ongoing so, i could make proper arrangements. leasing agents lacks accountability. people need to realize they are the face of the company. ps if you are told by the consumer that respect is needed and if it is not given you will get it back--- you need to LISTEN to what is being said with that being said moving from worst to worst- they should understand the person is going to be upset because they are constantly being lied too. the conversation was not nice all. too bad you have to have a star because you deserve no stars.

I live at *************** apartments. Terrible customer service and very disrespectful works. Yall dont care about your tentants. Just taking advantage of them I will not recommend to live at any of your apartments. I re-signed my 12 months lease for $1297 on 7/21. I requested ****** to send it for me to sign. Today I come to find out yall are saying its not signed. So she resent me a new lease for $1591 when I know I signed for $1297. She told me she doesnt car thats what its going to be. I called your corporate office to make a complaint and know one has got to me.

We researched and found that you missed the first, second and the third tier's during the renewal process. When this happens, the system defaults to a month-to-month lease status. Our Regional Director is looking into this even more and if there is anything we can do to resolve this she will be in touch.

This place is ***** infested and they will not send pest control to do anything about it even though they are charging you for pest control in your rent. They charge 2k for rent and this place is falling apart. Im embarrassed to live here now. The maintenance crew does nothing. The community manager only likes to argue. They do not care about the people who live here whatsoever.
