  George Smith Inc. towed our car from an apartment complex and when we went to pick it up, they told us the car had a flat tire and the business next door would be able to fix it. When I looked this up, it seems this has happened to several other people. It seems to be a scheme they have with the tire company.

  I wish I can give this company a 0 star. I had a horrible experience with this company. My semi truck was parked in a location and my driver was sitting in the truck the whole day. In the evening when my driver stepped out to get food, this company took a chance to come and tow both our truck and trailer. They didnt care to do it when they clearly saw someone inside but instead did that when he exited. Thats not it, they towed it and called us that they have our truck. My driver went there to pick the truck the next morning and they said pay $4,000 in cash or EFS to get your truck back. Clearly no one, especially a company employee does not roamed around with so much cash. We called them and asked them how they made such a bill, and they said the truck and trailer and almost 6-7x bigger than a car thats why we charged so much. Even if you do their original charging $175 for impound x7 its does not come up $4,000. As a small company we are unable to pay so much. We need help with this, and when talking to some *** of theirs, he was extremely rude, and unprofessional. I asked to talk to someone for negotiation and he said I wont let you talk. He kept threatening me that I am on a recorded line but is it illegal to ask why your getting charged so much.

  Said they only accept cash and told me that Im a teacher but I cant read a sign. They also gave me a *** ticket but there was no PPA officer.

  My car was towed from a private parking residential vicinity with no security or clear signs indicating that I was not allowed to park. I was visiting a client and was away from my vehicle no more than 1 hour and then my car was gone. I called George Smith Towing Company and a male answered the phone. I described my vehicle and he was joyful to say they just received it and it'll be $205. When I arrived everyone was unprofessional. I could barely hear the instructions through the hard glass. Once the price was given, I had to gather my personal belongings from the vehicle but one of the employees was yelling at me and letting me know that I couldn't move my vehicle when I just needed to retrieve my wallet to front the bill. After I paid my bill, it was imperative that I left the premises to go to work, but the employee was dragging his feet. I blew my horn to let him know that I needed to go he replied" the b**** could wait". After that the other employees laughed as if it was funny and it wasn't. I then proceed to call the police and they never came. I hope the BBB can rectify this problem to show how serious I am when it comes to Justice and a reimbursement from the company.

  My car was kidnapped and was held for $250 cash ****** to get my car back that same night or it would be more the next day. My car was not illegally parked and was towed for no reason. I put in a complaint to the attorney general for this.

  I was threatened and called a stupid Jew by tow truck driver . First time someone's threatened me and antisemitic I have it all on video to send too you please respond ASAP

  I just tried to get assistance from George Smith Towing for my car that was relocated by them. They said they do not keep records on cars that were relocated. They said they cannot give me information about my car and whereabouts and people usually call "the same day." Due to lack of parking in ************, residents in ************ do not move their cars everyday. This type of inadequate service allows organizations to profit of the hard working Philadelphians with no accountability.

  Worst towing company I’ve ever dealt with. Parked in a lot WITH NO ATTENDANT OR CLEAR SIGNS THAT SAID TO PAY OR WHERE TO PAY. Called the police to report my car stolen to find out this company has it. When I called the company to ask where my car was the woman kept putting me on hold with no warning, she had a terrible attitude and had a rude tone and I asked her if someone could come get me because she had just towed my car and I couldn’t get there- she said “we are not a taxi service” and hung up on me. Never told me how much it was to get my car back, if my car is at the location that’s posted, nothing. These were the only visible signs from where I parked
  UPDATE: I just got to the place, the address is down the street from where it actually is, it’s a yellow trailer that looks suspect (pictures included) . I could barely hear the man through the broken thick plastic except for when he was on the phone and screamed “THEN ******* PAY IT!”

  They illegally towed our car from our complex and lied and said they did not have it when we called. When we pulled up to the lot, the car was there. They then said they forgot to put it in the system. They are in the business of stealing cars.

  The guy who answers the phone is so nasty and beyond rude. You ask questions and he just yells at you. It’s the most unprofessional company I’ve ever encountered.
