Thought I was too smart to get scammed. I too inadvertently called them instead of ** and paying for their services, this was a year ago. Now a get a call that they are renewing my subscription and charging by bank. Stupidly I called back and am now out $11,000.00 all due to a fast talker, although in the back of my mind I kept thinking it wasn't ******** bad ??

On 2/9/2023, I had a problem with my HP Printer. I called HP Customer support and some how, I wound up talking with ADV SOFT LLC. They resolved the problem with my printer and laptop, they seemed very knowledgeable and offered a one year service contract for 3 computers for $299.00. I took the offer with some hesitation but proceeded since they had solved the problem. I had no need to call them until today, 12/08/2023, and received the message that the number could not be connected as dialed. I repeatedly called and received the same answer, The company is a FRAUD and apparently no longer exist. Tom S

I too thought I was calling HP, until I found out there was a charge, at which point I asked whether this was HP? He said no it wasn’t but they were indpt contractors. I could cancel at this point. The great thing was they solved my initial problem (my computer and printer was so screwed up) I was happy to pay the $129 for the two hours we were on the phone trying to straighten it all out. Even after that major problem, I had two more issues and they continued to help and problem solve for the next 45 minutes …try and get the Geek squad at that price. They provided me with all the information to contact them in the future…very courteous. My only complaint was the accent, which involved some repeating and clarification. A scam? Not in my experience, I lost nothing and I plan to use them again during the three months I have left. Will keep you updated if things go off the rails.

This phone number comes up (eight five five six 0 three 0 five 0 nine) when you Google for Hewlett Packard Customer Support. I called on 4/25/2023. They are NOT HP Customer support. They wanted to do a lot of work on my Apple laptop despite the fact that I was calling about my HP Printer. I thought perhaps I needed a new print driver, which wouldn't require them to access my laptop remotely, but that is why I originally allowed it. I am now very worried that I let this happen during the time that I thought I was actually engaging with HP. ARGH!!! Anyhow, it became apparent that something wasn't right when the man tried to scare me about all kinds of problems on my laptop causing the issue and quoted me prices ranging from $59.99 - $199.99 to fix my problem. Like others listed here, he said there were 1000s of errors on my machine and was brining up windows that seemed to show these errors. I got off the phone. When I reached HP legitimately, there was no charge for the assistance and it had nothing to do with my laptop at all. I called the scammers back and got their name ADV Soft based in India.

On the 21st or 22nd of March I called Hewlett Packard tech help. (my computer wasn't connecting to my HP printer.) The call was answered by a male with a thick foreign accent. He asked my permission to enter my computer in order to fix the problem. Thinking he was a HP tech employee I allowed that to happen. He said he needed to check my d drive. Quick as a wink, he copied my hard drive. He said the service would cost $119.00. It was then that I asked him who he worked for. Only then (after copying my hard drive!) did he say he was a third party from Advsoft that worked on HP products. I hung up and checked the BBB to see if it was a scam. They aren't registered as a scam business. What can I do about them being in possession of my hard drive, banking and passwords etc. Thank you, Toby G****

This Co. is from India. I purchased a printer from HP when I was unable to do the installation myself I called HP. I thought I was speaking to HP's tech support. The man said he could only get it to print with a cable. The reason why it wouldn't print wireless was because I had almost 3,800 thing wrong with different programs, etc. and he showed me. I needed my computer a.s.a.p. to print out my medical history for a doctor's appointment. I could only afford the 30 day plan for $59.99, I am very glad I am brock. The next tech was rude and condescending. One of the first things that I told the man, is that I was disabled and I had a hard time walking around. That didn't register to him at all. Getting out of bed and moving to where the printer was is difficult for me. Yet he was constantly saying "do this, do that, haven't you done that yet?" I kept having to remind him that I was disabled. Also that I couldn't have the printer and the computer next to each other because I couldn't stand up for that long. I felt so frustrated with him, yet I needed my computer done. When I told him I did not receive my email receipt of my payment. He said very rudely. "go and check your email it's there." At that point I couldn't take it anymore. I did get mad and told him I wasn't stupid and I did check. After the call with him they automatically put a supervisor on. I was able to tell this supervisor everything that happened. The supervisor did apologize, But after reading some of the negative reviews in here (after the fact.) I have to agree 100% with the negative reviews in here. Buyer beware!
