After searching for a part for my two Thermablaster Vent Free Wall heaters - WDFT320-VF; I found that the BBB had many complaints regarding the therma couples or the Pilot Light assembly malfunctioning or not staying lit. This was discovered a while back and I have not received any information from the manufacturer of these heaters that a problem existed or the remedy that Thermablaster was going to do to repair the problem. The Model I have; which is one of the listed models which were at the time of the posting by the BBB was having problems with the Pilot Light Assembly. I have tried without success to find parts for the heaters. I have even gone to the Thermablaster web site to see if parts are available. However, when you go to the bottom of the page of the heater, there you will find a statement that if you need parts click here. When I did so, all I received was a blank page. I thought I did something wrong and so I went back and the same thing happened. I have gone to many places this past week and no one is able to help me to get the pilot light assembly. I like the heaters when they worked and I thought I have made a good investment; however, I now regret the purchases of these heaters because of the problem with the Pilot Light Assembly, the lack of obtaining parts, Thermablaster not contacting me, and or the web site page of lack of obtaining parts for the heaters. From my experience, I will not recommend Thermablaster to anyone. I am hoping that the BBB can help me resolve the problem before it becomes cold.

purchased a log set for my rental unit fireplace some years back.Whikle showing the condo I turned on the fireplace so perspective tenants could view it. While talking to them the log set burner cought on fire and flame were shooting out. I keep extingushers in all rental for insurance purposes, I was able to put out the fire and when it cooled, took the log set & burner out to check. On the underside of the burner the gas line had developed a hole causing gas to shoot out which in turn caused the knobs and area where the battries are kept to catch on fire. Thermablaster rresponded that the warranty is only one year and they dont make that unit anymore, maybe because they catch on fire? Just my opinion but they did nothing but leave me a smoke filled room to clean. I do have photos of the burned unit as well as the hole in the unit and have it in a box in my garage in case this gets back to someone who inspects their products and would like to see. Looks like all reviews are one star, no good reviews.

My heater worked for two years OK. Then the thermocouple unit failed under normal use. I contacted Thermablaster and they could not provide worse customer service. They said the Chinese supplier still does not have the replacement part. Warning: all of the ignition system components are PROPRIETARY and CANNOT be bought elsewhere. There is no generic or common replacement parts that will fit their heaters! I fought with them for three months and they even lied to the BBB when I filed a complaint. No help whatsoever. According to my research with the BBB, Thermablaster knew darn well of the failure of their thermocouple and/or ODS back in 2018! They did NOT recall their product. I bought their product in late 2020, apparently OLD STOCK that they did NOT replace the known failing part in. They refused to help me in any way. Pathetic customer service! NEVER EVER buy their products of any type! Buy a DynaGlo heater -- they offer good service and the parts are readily available should you experience a failure. However, I bought a DynaGlo heater 15 years ago and it is on every winter all season -- not a single issue. Thermablaster is the worst company I think I have ever dealt with!
