My vehicle is burning oil. I have repeatedly went there. They put me through their process each time. I first have to drive 1000 miles and they put tamper proofing on the oil so it cannot be checked. After 1000 miles I have to return. They see how much oil it burned. Then make me do the same thing a second time. If it burnt oil both test which it always has then they say next step is combustion chamber cleaning. This is the step before they have to replace my motor. Which is under warranty. After that third step they say it stops burning oil. I have continuously checked After going through this each time with them and they have lied it has never stopped burning oil. I am at the point of burning a quart of oil a week currently. Last week my car started misfiring. Went to the mechanic to be told my engine is filled with oil and so are my spark plugs and that it's only a matter of time until the engine goes. It's burning oil and needs replaced as it should have been over a year ago the first time I went through this process with Ron Lewis kia. The customer service there is horrible they do not respond to messages and talk to you like trash when you are there if they did what they were supposed to I could get over that. They are dishonest and do not care and do not do their jobs or right by their customers. I went there last Saturday after leaving the mechanics to address this yet again. Only to have the guy working completely disregard me tell me I can't help you I only deal with ford's. I said well get the person who deals with kia to be told it was only him and that no one there could assist me I would need to come back. I have 2x now reached out to them this week via Google message. Which I have in the past done and have received a response. Not this time I have been ignored both attempts this week to reach them. My motor needs replaced. It is under warranty it feels like they are trying to prolong this until the warranty is up I am having to put a quart of oilaweekBusiness Response

To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to a complaint filed by **** *******, concerning a 2017 KIA Sorento.
KIA Motors has very specific test procedures to follow when performing tests for an oil consumption concern.
Attached is a snapshot of the procedure we are required to follow
according to KIA Motors before the Tech Hotline will approve any
warranty repairs.
We have attached copies of the client’s repair visits with our test results as well for review.
To obtain approval to replace an engine under KIA Warranty the tests
must be performed to the letter and the results must meet the criteria
for replacement approval.
While we empathize with the client,
we do not have the authority to replace an engine under warranty without
prior approval from KIA Motors.
The client should seek out another KIA Dealer for a second opinion if not satisfied with our findings.
Any further questions concerning KIA Warranty should be directed to KIA Consumer Affairs at 1-800-333-4KIA.
Sincerely,
Art H******

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I have followed the protocol time after time and they have lied each time when I reach the step before they need to replace my motor they have repeatedly lied and said it stopped burning oil. It has never stopped burning oil. This place is full of dishonest people who don't want bothered with warranty work because it makes them no money. It is still their job and responsibility. My engine is going to blow up. I am burning a quart of oil a week. I have spark plugs in my possession my mechanic gave me and confirmed and showed me an engine filled with oil. I was told it's only a matter of time. It is burning oil so badly and my motor needs replaced! Now!

After having a diagnostic done on 4/12/23 Tech:7 said the wiper motor would need to be replaced, said it would cost $400.00. The work order states" Wipers are not working talked to JK front wiper motor would not function tested wiring it tested good eas (?) able to free motor and get it to work motor is still binding and will need replaced." Appointment set for 4/18/23. About an hour and a half after they started working on my car Tech:7 informed me they had replaced the motor but it would only work on high setting. The work order states "replace wiper motor old motor had shorted out the TIPM will need TIPM." He then said it would cost $999.00 I said I couldn't afford that and to bring my car back to me. I would run the wipers on high until I could afford to get the TIPM replaced. After getting my car back I got started it up and noticed the "low tire" light was on. I asked a worker if the tire rotation had been done ( scheduled a rotation also) He said he would check the pressure and "top them off." While I was waiting I turned on the wipers, they weren't working on any setting. I went into the office to speak to Tech:7 ( he was on the phone). Another man asked if he could help me. I explained to him that the wipers weren't working on high either. He said he would look at it. He turned the wiper switch several times, said it was because the TIPM was bad that they weren't working. I asked him why I had paid $130.00 for a diagnostic that didn't show the entire problem. He said the diagnostic was "only a starting point' in finding the problem. I told him, I was told the problem was the motor. After a while he smacked the door of the car and said "we are done talking" On 5/4/23 I took my car to Soloman Auto Group ( Carmichaels PA) At a cost of $298.00. The work order states "Check for wipers INOP, run diagnostics, connector at bottom of TIPM (wiper sense wire) loose, repair connector. To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to
a BBB Complaint from ******* ****, concerning her recent service on a
2014 Jeep Compass with a windshield wiper concern.
After
a review of the repair orders and discussions with our staff there is
no way to conclude whether the wiring / TIPM Signal concern shorted out
the windshield wiper motor or if the motor was shorted and caused the
wiring / TIPM concern.
What we can deduce is that we
handled the interaction with this client poorly and as a good will
gesture we will issue a refund check in the amount of $445.15 that the
customer paid to have the motor replaced.
I have attempted to contact the client by telephone but as of yet have not received a return call.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused.

3/31/2023 Tire needed warranty replaced due to manufacturers defect (bubble in sidewall near rim).
On 3/31/2023 I had location replace tire, however, I was told Kia could not replace and had to buy a new tire and contact tire manufacturer for warranty. I was not given the manufacturer info from Ron Lewis. After researching I contacted Sumitomo (maker of Geotour tires). They advised I need to contact distributor for Ron Lewis. I called Ron Lewis and no one is willing to give me that contact number and they claim I hit something and tire would not be warrantied. I have pictures of said tire, there is no scratch on tire nor on the rim. I did not hit anything with my car. They have no evidence of any collision and therefore cannot say I did.
Also, if Ron Lewis doesn't warranty, how are they telling me neither will the manufacturer.
Attached are pictures of said tire. No damage outside of bubble, and being this close to a rim, there would be damage on the rim if hit something. Ron Lewis is attempting to get out of replacing my tire under warranty.Customer Answer

To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to a customer complaint filed by
******* ******* concerning a 2017 Jeep Renegade that received an oil change at
our dealership on or about 9/1/2022 at 50328 miles.
It is clearly noted on our repair order ****** that we
recommended front brake pads and rotors be replaced.
Based on the invoice provided by the customer dated
10/4/2022 at 52524 miles the customer had the brakes replaced that we
recommended and had the oil level checked. There is no mention of the oil
change not being performed on the invoice or even proof of the oil being
changed there.
Based on the information provided we feel there is no basis for
a claim for a refund.
The customer paid to have brakes replaced that we indeed did
recommend 2,196 miles before and has not provided proof that the oil was not
changed.
If there are any other questions or concerns, please feel
free to reach out during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8am to

I had my car in the shop there for them to fix with my warranty. They flat out told me certain things they do not now how to fix and the car kept shutting off and they said they fixed it. A few days after I paid for it, it kept shutting off again. They told me because I drove it off the lot and it was running their is nothing they can do about it and they are not a chevy dealer so I shouldn't have brought it there in the first place. I contacted the manager (Tom) and he agreed it was not right and they should've fixed my car or give me a refund to take it to the proper place to fix it. He said he would check to see what happened and would call me back. He never called me back and I have called him over 50 times leaving voicemails and he will not return my phone call to give my refund back. I ask the receptionist if he is there in his office and they said yes, as soon as they transfer my calls he declines to answer. I have left dozens of voicemails with my number to return my phone call which he still refuses to do. I had to take my car to a different shop and pay my warranty deductible again for that dealership. However Ron Lewis Dealership refuses to fix my car and refuses to give me a refund for the work they did on it that did not fix the car. I was told I should not have brought it there in the first place and there is nothing they can do about it.Business Response

After driving 11 straight hours from ending my vacation early, I was expecting a car that I built with Alexis B*** (sales person from Ron Lewis Jeep) to be an easy close and be on the road with my new 2023 Jeep Wrangler (Sahara). That was far from the case. A gentleman that did not identify himself created such 2 horrible offers that my only option was to walk away. He even stated before sitting down, “I am not here to sell you a car.” Here were his offers. Only handwritten not even on a offer sheet.
48 months $935 per month tio lease
48 months $887 per month to lease
Now I know this seems brief. Well. that;s because it was. The terms that I asked to be looked inti were a 5 or 6 year monthly price to buy. And, I never stated that I wanted to lease again.
I have driven Jeep for over 2 and a half decades of my life. I have never encountered this horrible treatment of being run out of a deal and treated like an uneducated consumer.
My credit was never run. I checked weeks later
The discount of $4,000 that I was eligible for was never offered$4000 rebate 2023 3.6l Sahara Wrangler
This gentleman did not run a deal that included 10,000 down. I ran the number at home after he gave me a fake rate of 7.9% ( my credit was never run) I am of a very good rating. (740) I also qualify for a lower rate.
I dealt with Paul S******* (Owner of Hillview Motors) I wish he did not retire. In an age of easy transparency and information at our fingertips, I was not expected to be treated like a third-class citizen.
I was going to chalk this experience up to “It is what it is.” But, after seeing this gentleman driving the car I built around the neighborhood, I am less than pleased with their lack of proper business etiquette and treatment of a potential car buyer. Most of all, I feel bad for the original salesperson who was bumped out of the way by this Car Salesman Bully. Truly shocked to learn that this caveman attitude and presentation are still being used at Ron Lewis Jeep.Business Response

I took my jeep which I purchased at a Ron Lewis dealership in for a yearly inspection. I was called and told I neede two front tires, I asked about proration since I bought the tires there in 2020. I was told she was looking at my paperwork and I had not purchased tires since 2018 so there was no warranty. However a few days later I came upon the receipt from 2020 which showed I had bought four new tires there. When I called them I was informed that yes they did see that but usually after two years there’s no warranty, when I questioned that I received literally about five other excuses like they didn’t know what the warranty would be now since it was two years ago, they didn’t start prorating tires until 2021 etc. finally the lady kathy told me the manager would call me back and he never did. Very suspicious business practice in my opinion been buying tires for years never came upon such an ordeal. I purchased the jeep in 2018 used so when they told me in 2020 I needed tires I didn’t question it. Now I’m wondering if I even needed tires then. I feel they are very deceptive, The new tires that were put on were the exact tire they took off, the warranty was 65,000 miles. I put 31,000 miles on the old tires since 2020 that left 34,000 miles on The warranty. I feel absolutely like there is something not right hereBusiness Response

I bought my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with ~21k miles on it for over 50k around August 2021. I asked about a noise I was concerned about and was assured it's a truck and this noise is normal. The vehicle was supposed to be as good as new since it is a certified pre-owned. I continued to have noise issues and was unaware of the prior issues the dealership was aware of until they provided me my vehicles entire service history, including records from the previous owner that had their personal info on it a few days ago. It is now mid-August 2022, my car is noisy and corroding and they said they are unable to work with me moving forward. I filed a complaint with the FCA, who assured me my corrosion will be covered when I take it elsewhere. Disgusted and dissatisfied with my experience as a Ron Lewis customer.Business Response
