    On June 8th, 2023 I gave this business $99.90 and have yet to receive a refund. This business puts people in physical danger. The suite rooms use an electronic pin pad to unlock the doors. The code I was sent did not work. Others who have reviewed this business share a similar experience. Many state that the code does not work, so they are forced to stay outside and call a customer service representative to resolve their issue. Some reviews state they could never unlock the door and were forced to find another hotel or Airbnb without receiving a refund from Stay Pittsburgh. The pin code at the door does not change from guest to guest. When I was trying to unlock the door I was stalked by homeless people outside while on the phone with the customer service representative. They overheard my conversation and patiently waited for me to unlock the door. The homeless people followed me into my room. They watched me enter the pin code and forced themselves inside the room I rented and harassed me. They eventually left and I have barricaded the door with a table and chairs. The homeless people tried to come into my room again. Since the pin code is the same for the lobby and rooms, once you have the code you basically have access to the whole building. These homeless people entered and exited the building freely. There is no security in the lobby. I tried to contact the property manager to let them know I was leaving due to the unsafe environment. However, they did not respond until the next day. I was promised a refund by the general manager but have not received it. I have attempted to contact the property for any updates about the refund via email and phone. Yet no one answers the phone or responds to the emails. I have read other reviews of this business. Many seem to share my experience. The pin code not working, stranded outside, strangers letting themselves in, failure to refund guests. Many reviews state this business is a scam, and I sympathize with the statement.

    On February 21, 2023 I went to my hotel stay at Stay Pittsburgh and was greeted by a disgusting smell in the hallway and the realization that we got the only room on the first floor and it was directly next to a daycare with screaming children and the elevator. Besides this, our room was disgusting. There were dark course hairs that resembled pubic hairs on the beds and bathroom floor, crumbs all over the kitchen area, a half eaten cheesepuff on the floor, fingerprints all over the mirrors, poop marks in the toilet, peeling wallpaper, spilled liquids on the floor, and even a plate of fried chicken in the microwave. There was also brown dripping liquid on the kitchen walls. On top of this, there were homeless people in the lobby, one of them banging on our door and harassing us. I messaged the hotel management team and they said they’d get back to us with a resolution and never did. On February 23rd, the last day of our stay, they informed us that we would not be getting a refund. We were also never offered another room. I paid around $140 for two nights at this disgusting h***hole and deserve a refund for the conditions of the room and lack of understanding from management.

    On 7-17-22 10:07p I completed and received confirmation number ********* of an in ap purchase from Stay Pittsburgh for a "2bed 2bath" for 7-17-22 11p Sunday to 7-20-22 11a Wednesday on a rainy night... Stay Pittsburgh denies payment regardless of bank card verification... I received no key or key code for service for more than an hour as I was juggled from one representative to another... By 12am I requested a cancellation of payment and refund... None of the representatives aided or assisted with the matter...
