    Calfo doesnt deserve 1 star.When I purchased my furnace, air scrubber, & air conditioner from Calfo in Oct 2020, they were a different company. They cared about their customers.4 1/2 years later, they are a greedy company who only cares about making ********** care about their customers at all!My air scrubber, which I paid $1,075.00 for in Oct. 2020, recently stopped working. It has a 5 year warranty from purchase date.***** & another tech came to my house on 4/24/25 & determined the air scrubber was defective & needed to be replaced. Initially, they didnt want to admit it was covered under warranty & stated I added it on & hadnt purchased it from them. As I went to grab my receipt, ***** found on his phone that I was telling the truth. We had to wait until the owner of Calfo finally agreed that the air scrubber would be covered under warranty, but I would need to pay the labor cost.I asked how long this type of air scrubber usually lasts, as had I known its lifespan was so short, I would not have purchased it. I was told it usually lasts about 20 years & this is the first one theyve seen fail so quickly.I was given a quote of $1,291.88 for labor to pop out the existing air scrubber & pop in the replacement, or a quote of $1,599.00 to include Calfos VIP program.I asked why in the world the labor amount was so high to just pop in a replacement & never received a valid answer. Calfo is charging me for a replacement air scrubber, that they will be getting for free from the manufacturer & calling it a labor cost!I asked numerous times to speak to the ********** was request was denied. I also asked that the owner call me, but have not received a call.On 4/25/25, ***, a technician told me he would drop off a replacement air scrubber, then ***** from Calfo called me to say the owner wont allow me to receive a replacement because Im not a VIP.

    I think the company is negligent and installed a new boiler system and caused my boiler to leak and break because the pressure was not adjusted properly. I had contacted the manager and she spoke with the owner. The company is not willing to fix their mistake and wanted to charge another ******** after I spent ******* on the boiler and ****** for an expansion tank because the technician did not adjust the pressure. The company refused to fix their mistake and take responsibility. I regret having the company come out and doing any work. The warranty that is supposed to be a 10 year warranty does not cover most of the system I am finding out. The 10 year warranty I have only covered the mother board and the cost to fix it over 2 thousand dollars. My system I have is only 7 years old and is now ***** and looks horrible.

    Do NOT use Calfo Home Services!We have been loyal customers, spending thousands of dollars with this company, but their recent actions have been unacceptable and dangerous. We called them to address a gas leak, and their technician assured us that spending $2,200 would not only fix the leak but also extend the life of our furnace by two years.After the work was completed, the gas leak persisted. When we informed them, they refused to fix the issue unless we paid even more money. This is completely unacceptable, as their technician failed to resolve the problem they were hired to fix.I am currently pregnant and have a 10-month-old baby at home. This is not just an inconvenienceits a serious safety hazard. Breathing in gas fumes puts my entire family at risk, and Calfo Home Services refuses to take responsibility for their mistake.We will never use this company again. Beyond losing our business for our home, we also own multiple rental properties where we would have used their services regularly. On top of that, my mother-in-law, who we referred to Calfo, was planning to replace her furnace and air conditioning with them this spring. Now, she will also be taking her business elsewhere and sharing this negative experience.Its a shame to see a company we once trusted care so little about their customers safety and satisfaction. Their unwillingness to correct their mistake is a very poor business decision, and its cost them thousands of dollars in future ************* yourself the frustration, and go with a company that values their customers and does the job right.

    The owner of this company is a "stand up" guy? He has companies perform work for him and then he doesn't pay and refuses to return calls. I would avoid working with this company at all costs.

    ***** showed up at our house for a routine air filter change. It was supposedly free of charge and we had to call to explain we don't use Calfo anymore. ***** then went downstairs and asked my wife to come down so he could give her a business card. My wife asked him to bring it upstairs and he insisted she come downstairs. ***** then proceeded to openly hit on my wife who is married and has 2 children, asking her if he can be her companion and take her out. My wife froze and was polite and tried to get him to leave, which he eventually did, before calling me in tears and shaking in fear. I called Calfo asking to speak with a manager and told the person who took my call about the situation, and her ********** first response was to challenge the validity of the story stating "he didn't show up unannounced, he called your wife that morning.". I expressed disbelief in this being her response after hearing what I told her. No apology was offered, only that some people were in meetings and she would pass along the message and someone would call me back. I am considering filing a sexual harassment lawsuit against Calfo regarding this situation and their handling of. Unbelievable.
