Car engine stopped running in March 2023. Mechanic replaced engine in April 2023 and charged $16,000. Mechanic claimed engine had 1 year warranty. Oil leaked from the engine from the day we got it back. It was repeatedly taken back to mechanic who did not repair the engine. This happened for over a year. He had the car 8-10 times attempting to fix leaking or burning oil and he was not successful. Warranty ran out, but car was never fixed. 5 months after the warranty officially ran out, the engine stopped working altogether because it was never a properly working engine. No receipts for purchase or warranty paperwork were ever provided. Mechanic claims to have misplaced the paperwork. He will not even verbally tell me who he bought the engine from. He refuses to reimburse. No paperwork was ever received to verify the engine had 13,000 miles on it, although the text message from him say there were only 13,000 miles in the engine. New mechanic from different company looked at the engine and told us that it was most definitely not an engine with 13,000 miles on it.

Yes we did do an engine swap for the ****’s and yes it did have oil leaks after it was installed and the oil leaks were repaired as the we found them w oil dye to determine from where yes all of that along w new gaskets and seals and new oil and filters and oil lever sensors etc were all done under warranty. Along w a rental car we paid for. It is to my understanding that this engine never had any performance issues until 8-28-24. The last time the Audi was in our shop was mid April. When I was made aware of the current problem the car was at another local repair shop and they provided an invoice stating what was wrong with the car “carbon on pistons and rings” I offered to submit a claim to my ins company and they did an investigation and found the insured not to be a fault.

even with the job being out of warranty I was still willing to help them out is why I volunteered to submit a claim if it would help.  Sadly they did deny the claim.

i have provided information in attachments indicating their findings along w messages between myself and mark stating that I had all documents printed off w dialogue from where motor was purchased so I know mark has those invoices because I handed it to him personally at a local convenience store in bellefonte pa.
Stating that I lost it is a pretty far fetch bc those words I lost it never came out of my mouth ever. I do have more info to share but could only upload so many documents at one time.

The engine currently has misfires in one of the six cylinders. Built up of carbon on pistons and or rings very common problem for supercharged and or turbo charged engines. Which I might add was the whole reason for changing the engine back in may of 23 was bc of engine misfires from all six cyinders. As discussed with mark he says they do use Sheetz high test crappy but that’s what they use I did suggest using a fuel additive at least once a month to ensure carbon from coming back. This whole situation has cost me a good customer and an even better friend. I just can’t understand why he would say I never gave him anything when I handed him everything myself. So sad.
