Terrible experience. First, the installer sent to work on my door installation project didn't speak English and we had to solely communicate via a translation app. Second, immediate issues were noticed, and he either said it wasn't an issue or he didn't do it and handed me the touch-up paint. This is after he touched-up the sides of the door and then closed the door to ensure it was level, getting the wet [gray] paint on my white door jamb. When questioned about this, he said he didn't have paint to fix it. After he left, I also noticed that he leaked oil on my driveway. Following up with ****** and UHS about the issues, denials or withholding information, having assessors come out to inspect, going round and round, UHS was still not committing to incurring the cost of replacing or fixing the door or driveway issues, claiming that the door functions properly, and the scratches are my responsibility to touch-up, and doubling down on the installers van not having leaked. When I disclosed that I had before-and-after pictures from my security camera proving that the oil leak was from his van, the tone changed and they committed to resolving it. They were supposed to schedule time for the driveway to be cleaned and confirm back to me. Four (4) days later the installer showed up to my house unannounced and started cleaning my driveway with water, ZEP, and a blow torch, which was being used 1 FOOT FROM MY VEHICLE. With additional rounds of debate, an agreement was reached where the door was going to be replaced under warranty + the others issues fixed (latch not connecting to the strike plate, closing the door with force, a gap under the seal of the storm door, and painting the door jamb). After ~4 months, everything got resolved, but the lack of accountability, poor communication, and dismissal of issues was off-putting and not something customers should deal with. I **** ****** re-evaluates their partnership with *** because it is a poor reflection on their company.
