This is response to compliant #********. Miss ***** did purchase a 09 ********** Tiquan from us back in early May. She did take it for a test drive and was informed that she could take the car to any mechanic shop she chooses for a pre-inspection if would like to, she was also offered the chance to buy an extended warranty. Miss ***** declined both opportunities. She did reach out to us on May 9th to state that the sunroof was leaking when it rained. We asked her when she could bring it in while the shop was open. After the weekend she brought it in and it was fixed on us. Once we tried to call her to inform her it was done no one would pick up the phone. We sent an email; she finally responded at the time of pickup she makes a comment about how her breaks were making noises. We explained that is very common with vehicles that do sit here waiting to be purchased. The next day a man called claiming to be her father, stating that the car had run out of oil and overheated plus the brakes makes noises. He couldn't give me the correct information on the car or the Miss. ******* name. I however did go to the owner after explaining to the man on the phone that brakes do make noises after sitting but I would see when we could get her car in again to be looked at. The mechanic found that the car did have oil, and all of the other fluids needed for the car to run properly. The car didn't seem to be overheating at any point when it was driven to see about the noises coming the brakes. As a sign of good faith and to make the customer happy we changed the brakes and rotors again, free of charge. I have attached the "AS IS" and the Nothing Owed papers she signed at the time of purchase.Initial Complaint

I purchased a ******************* November 2023 from Lehigh Valley Truck N Auto. About 3 months later, the oil change was due so I took it to the dealership and it was found that the car had some major issues. There was a coolant system issue that was determined to be the result of a water pump failure as well as a leak from the thermostat housing. Additionally, there was evidence that the car had an oil leak. They could not determine what was causing the oil leak until they did a dye test and it was found that the leak was the result of a vacuum pump gasket that needed to be replaced. Prior to purchasing the car, my mechanic raised a concern about a potential oil leak and I brought this to their attention. They took another look at the car and ensured me that there was no oil leak and that what the mechanic saw was the result of the oil pan not being properly wiped off after the last oil change was performed. Of course, I now know that the car did, in fact, have an oil leak. While getting the issues repaired and since the inspection was coming due the next month, I had them just do the inspection while they had the car. During inspection, they found that both rear brakes and the control arms needed to be replaced. This was all within just over 4 months of having the car which is only being driven locally. In this short amount of time, repairs totaled almost $3k for the car.I contacted Lehigh Valley Truck N Auto in March 2024 when this happened to make them aware and hoping that they would agree to a resolution for this. They refused to do anything. So I paid for all repairs.I just took the car back this past weekend (August 2024) and it looks like there is another oil leak developing behind the engine. This is now the 2nd oil leak in less than one year of ownership so I feel that the issues have been excessive and want to raise this concern as the cost to repair will be about $2k this time making this $5k in repairs in less than 1 year of having the car.Business Response

This is in response to Glorious ********* complaint; ********. Glorious did buy a vehicle back in November of 2023, she took it to her own shop to have a pre-purchase inspection. After she came back from her mechanic, she bought the vehicle stating that the car was in good shape and needed nothing done. She also bought an extended warranty for her vehicle. I will send copies of the paperwork she signed stating that there is no Lehigh Valley Truck n Auto warranty, that it was bought AS IS, nothing was promised to be fixed after purchase, as well as a copy of her 36-month warranty. Should there be anything else that is needed please feel free to contact me at the number listed below.**** ****************** Office************ Fax*******************************************************************************************************************************************Apply Here - Fast and Easy Financing Available!Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The documentation provided does not address the concern that was presented in the original complaint which is that the car has required a significant amount of work in a very short amount of time, including repairs that were found to be necessary just about 3 months after purchase which I previously reached out about. To me and any reasonable person, this seems excessive and the moral thing to do would be to work with your customer to find a resolution. If ******************************************************************** n Auto is a business that simply does not care about treating their customers fairly and taking accountability when their products have excessive issues, that would be a better response to address the complaint I am presenting. This is not about the terms of sale or a warranty, which I did reach out for assistance and they barely cover anything. This is about doing good business and recognizing when something that you sold may have had some additional issues.Additionally, this statement made in the business' response is untrue: "After she came back from her mechanic, she bought the vehicle stating that the car was in good shape and needed nothing done." I specifically spoke to the sales person and the owner about my mechanic's concerns that there appeared to be an oil leak. Lehigh Valley Truck n Auto even put the car up on the lift to check that out. The owner personally guaranteed that there was no oil leak and stated that what he was seeing was the oil not being cleaned properly after the oil change that had been performed. So the concerns about a potential leak were raised prior to purchase and Lehigh Valley Truck n Auto misrepresented what was going on. As previously stated, We later discovered that my mechanic was correct and there was, in fact, an oil leak. Again, the fact that Lehigh Valley Truck n Auto will not even acknowledge and correct this shows that their lack of value of their customers and their intention to conceal potential issues with the vehicles they sell.
In conclusion and to be very clear, please respond to the actual concern of the complaint which is your failure to be transparent with details, failure to own when you made a mistake (specifically speaking about you being incorrect about the oil leak here) and failure to be willing to take an action to resolve the customer's issues. Do not hide behind paperwork that you believe should absolve you any responsibility. Please provide actual responses to the concerns raised above.
Regards,
Glorious *********Initial Complaint

Went to dealership on 11/22/2023 to inquire about a 2014 **** ****** red colored car on their website listed for $1. After speaking with the gentleman he told me the price was $9,995 and that the website would update at noon. Not even leaving the business he updated the cars price and would not hold true to the $1 listing price. He also had many other vehicles listed for $1Business Response
Date: 12/12/2023
I'm replying to the complaint about a **** ****** being listed on the website for a $1 and when the customer came in was told the real price of $9995. We often list cars for a $1 to let customers know what is available. We do update the prices in a timely matter after we figure out what it cost us. I never thought that anyone believe that they would really be able to purchase any of our vehicles for a $1. I know I have personally seen places list items for a $1 or free knowing that wasn't true for an item. Since this complaint we will make sure we list the vehicles with no price but say coming soon. We are very sorry that this person felt that he was getting a 2014 **** ****** for a $1, there was no intent on trying to be fraudulent or misleading.********************************* Office************ Fax
