Window installation that took 3 months. Never finished. Left trash and debris in driveway without a dumpster for 2 months. Never responded to call or emails. Out of concern for my credit rating Ive been making payments on unfinished work. I believe they took advantage of my husband and I because we are elderly. Pictures upon request.

Homeowner Funding installed windows and doors throughout my home. We are having issues with the two outside doors along with one screen they were supposed to repair last November. We have called repeatedly with no return calls, we have also tried the online chat.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/16/2022

In response to the complaint by *********************:

There were some issues with the functionality of the hardware of the doors. We were out to the home to evaluate the issue on September 1st 2022.

We evaluated and found the problem. New parts and pieces were ordered for the doors that will correct the problem... they are expected in about 6 weeks.

Once they arrive, we will be back immediately to install the new parts.

The customer is in agreement and will be satisfied with this solution.

Homeowner Funding contracted a third party contractor to install my siding, ************************* Contracting. ****** told me to call him in the spring when the snow melts, if I see any nails on the ground around my property. When the snow melted I discovered over thirty nails on the ground encompassing my property. A part of my siding is bending, another part has fallen off! They didn't tighten the screws on my security cameras so they have moved with the winds; giving me partially obscured views from all of my cameras, one camera no longer functions, the light behind my house facing the backyard also, no longer functions. I've called ********************** the project manager, and customer **********************. Not a **** thing has been done about this! I have a minor child who plays in my backyard and two puppies. This is absolutely unsafe for them. This is half a year later and im still dealing with this crap! This is absolutely ridiculous and shameful of this company. Especially, when it claims to "help" homeowners. This company has caused me a severe amount of stress and grief! This is a sham of a company, a joke, and what they actually do is take advantage of homeowners not "help" them! I need them to rectify THEIR sloppy mess YESTERDAY!

Purchased all new with "Life Time" warranty from Homeowner Funding on roof, main floor windows and front door. Had problems with roof, took over two months to fix and was finally fixed due to shingles that we defective (per their contractor). For the past three months we have been calling to get the front door replaced because it is rusting out. We have been calling every day during the work week, finally got a response saying they would come replace the door. No one has been here thus far. We continue to call with no response back. This product is covered by their "Life Time Warranty". Otherwise, there is no way I would have replaced the door in the first place. I expect this door to be replaced immediately.

Below are the ********** warranty notes regarding the finishing of doors.  We have attached two photos of the customer's door showing that they never finished the door to protect it as required by the manufacturer's warranty.  The fact that this is rusted 4 years later is due to customer negligence and is not covdered by warranty.   If they choose, they can purchase as new replacement door slab to swap out what is there without disturbing the frame or the original installation of the door.  They can call the office for pricing if they wish to pursue that.   Otherwise, Please advise when this case is closed.  Thank you.

********** WARRANTY NOTES ABOUT TIMELY FINISHING OF DOOR SYSTEMS:

For continued warranty coverage, all fiberglass ********** door systems (Products) must be finished within 6 months of the installation date; and all steel ********** door systems (Products) must be finished within several days of the installation date. However, all bare or unprotected wood surfaces (such as door frames) on all steel and fiberglass Products (including any bare or unprotected wood surfaces used or exposed by builders, contractors, dealers, or distributors on or in conjunction with the Products) should be primed and painted, or stained and top coated within the lesser of 2 weeks of installation or exposure to weather. All doors must have all 6 sides finished. (Note: If a genuine ********** door bottom sweep (gasket) is properly applied by the builder, contractor, dealer, or distributor to the bottom edge of the door, then only the 5 remaining sides of the door require finishing.) For all doors, sides, top and bottom must be inspected and maintained as regularly as the front and back face surfaces. All PVC lite frames and simulated divided lite bars must be finished within 30 days of installation and are not recommended for use behind storm doors or if exposed to direct sunlight to be painted dark colors.

Improper or untimely finishing of the Product by the Warranty Holder or its agents (i) increases the chance for Product damage of the type which is NOT COVERED by this Limited Warranty and (ii) increases the preparatory work that must be performed by the Warranty Holder or its agents in order to properly finish and maintain the Product in a manner not inconsistent with **********s recommendations and instructions. This is particularly a consideration for steel Products.
