    May 2021, we had our roof, gutters, and siding put on by Quality roofing express. Once they were completed with the job, the remaining amount of the bill was paid in full. Shortly after they were done we noticed that the siding started to bubble. They came to take a look at it and they said it was a manufacturing error and that we needed to contact Plygem to start their warranty protections. Quality roofing express was supposedly helping us with this. They had pieces of siding, pictures of the damage siding on the house, and the form. So I thought it was being handled. After 8 months of being told they were waiting to hear back from ******, I contacted ****** to see where we were at with the claim. ****** said they had no claim on file. So I reapplied for the claim with ****** and in December we received a letter stating it wasn't a manufacturing issue but an installation issue. After receiving this letter, we informed Quality Roofing Express of what ****** found. Quality Roofing Express still claims that it is a manufacturing issue and not an installation issue. Therefore they are not responsible for replacement of the damaged siding. Well over a year later, we still haven't gotten any resolution to the siding issue. Once they got our check, they were done with us even though the house looks awful. All we want is for them to come and replace the siding on our house at no cost to us, per the 5 year labor warranty.

    I be apologize, I meant to get back to you regarding ****************. Complaint number ********..

    I have spoken to him and his wife about the claim that needs to be put in with the manufacture because it is a manufactured defect and their rules in order for a complaint to be filed it needs to come from the homeowner. I tried my best to communicate with the manufacture, but all they could respond to me was that the homeowner needed to to call in and started clean. This has been going on for almost a year. I did advise them to call and ask for one of the representative to come out and look at the installation. I know its not the installation because the material was damaged when it was in the box. We did replace a couple boxes when we were installing . When the job was finished, we noticed there was a couple old pieces of siding that were warped . That is when I offered to get in touch with the manufacture and start a claim for them. The response that I got was that the homeowner needed to call **** and start the claim themselves. I did not know more after that I thought it was being taken care of between the manufacture, and the homeowner until almost a year later the homeowner called me back and said that he had not heard anything, and its been a back-and-forth phone conversation between homeowner myself and the manufacture.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    There was never a lapse in communication between myself and Quality Roofing. I have attached the response from the manufacturer regarding the claim we submitted.  It states that it was an installation error not a manufacturer error.  We forwarded a copy of manufacturer response to Quality Roofing on 12/26/22 in which they once again responded that it was a manufacturer issue not theirs. Quality Roofing refuses to accept the answer from ******* and is blatantly lying about how we haven't done everything that was ask of us.
