      Northstar Products **** from *********** ************, Has been sending gloves to our locations without any orders from us and then billing us 5-10 times the amount that the product would cost going through a authorized retailer, our safety team does not use Northstar, Northstar call our corporate Business number gets transferred to a specific location collects information like employees names says that a employee ordered gloves they were out of stock now they are in stock and they would like to ship them out the employee thinking the gloves are already paid for send them good shipping addresses in North star send us a box of cheap gloves with a big invoice that nobody approved or ordered

      After a quick online search of the company, we have found they have been known to do this to other companies, they need to stop claiming to sending products to companies that did not order thier products and sending them a bill for products they did not order. our safety department does not order gloves from them.

      The attached complaint is untrue! NorthStar has been doing business with ******* since 2022. The **** speak to, and conduct business with the managers in charge, they do not ask call takers for shipping addresses, or use their names as the one ordering. At any time, if there are any issues with any orders, customers can simply refuse the deliveries, or call us at the time of the delivery to arrange a return of the products. There was never any indication that there was any issues overall with orders. Orders were kept and paid. And now they unnecessarily submit this complaint out of the blue! NorthStar strives to accommodate our customers with all of their product needs, and look forward to them being long term satisfied customers.  In the interest of resolving this matter, we have removed Alcivia from our Customer Contact List.

      I am rejecting this response because: NorthStar has been sending product's since 2022! Never has one of our managers reached out to NorthStar to source products, that is not how ******* operates, My team and I have done the research and found that NorthStar has been cold calling locations and in times past told an employee that some gloves that had been ordered were backordered and now in stock, the NorthStar **** asked the ******* employee his name and a "good shipping address". In this case we found that this location does not use gloves or order gloves, all PPE type products are purchased by our ************ which NorthStar is not a vendor that they use. NorthStar found their way into our Accounts payable system and took advantage of us. We have looked back at all the reports, invoices and paid receipts. we have over 1/2 dozen boxes of gloves, there is NO PO# given for the gloves. this is what prompted the investigation into this matter, all the names that are listed on the invoices are employees who thought we were expecting a package. this practice is unlawful and a violation of consumers rights. I have spoken with NorthStar and told them to No longer attempt to do business with us. I have turned this over to the executive level to take legal action.

      Over the years that NorthStar has been doing business with *******, on many occasions, managers have reached out to NorthStar for products. Orders were placed. Some of the orders were reorders by the same managers ordering additional products from us, as many managers had requested that we send our catalogs to their email addresses, so they could see what other additional products they could buy from us.  Having spoken to ***** ******* the other day, it's obvious that he's overlooking the fact that NorthStar is an established authorized Vendor of Alcivia, and therefore over the years, we've been dealing with various Alcivia managers and locations, and it appears that he's basing this whole thing over the dealings with a single one of their locations!  Northstar hasn't done anything unlawful, or in violation of consumer rights, so it's really unnecessary for him to overexaggerate and blow things out of proportion to this extent!

      In the interest of resolving this matter, we have issued a prepaid *** Return Label to *******, so that they can return the products from the last outstanding Invoice# *******. Once those products are returned, the account with Alcivia will be closed.

      This business is manipulative at best, and flat out dishonest at worst. I was contacted by an older gentleman with the company offering to supply me with 8511-type dust masks and moldex masks. Appealing to my better nature, I decided to give them a shot; you cant buy everything from *****, after all. I made the mistake of not getting him to provide me with a quote beforehand. The masks show up and they are probably marked up 100% over what you would get for a similar product from Uline. I decided to let it slide, taking pitty on a small business located near my hometown in ************. Then he calls me back and asks me if I wanted some free eye-protection goggles. So, stupidly, I told him "sure". The goggles show up, with another case of masks which I did not ask for, and he charges me for the goggles. Of course I don't find out about this till after the fact from my book keeper. He also told me he was sending me ******* gift cards, I suppose in an attempt to keep me distracted from the fact that he ripped me off. The icing on the cake is that they tried invoicing me for an additional two boxes of masks that I DID NOT ASK FOR. They insisted that I received these masks, which I did not. They provided *** tracking numbers indicating that the boxes were "received by customer." I run a small crew, no one signed for these things. I don't know if falsifying *** records is a crime, but these rats are going to find out here pretty quick. You would be a fool to do business with this company and everyone should do what I did and file a complaint with the PA **************************

      We appreciate that you had ordered 8511-type dust masks from us after speaking to our rep back in February. And yes, we do provide our customers with items that they can't get from *****. And although our prices may not be the cheapest, they certainly aren't marked up 100%.  When you spoke to our rep again on March 18th, you told him that the masks came at a good time because farmers were asking for them, so he sent you more, and you told him that you could also use goggles too. Rep never said that they would be free.

      On June 3rd, you called Northstar **************** and said that you didn't think you received the 2 Cases listed on the April invoice. We provided you with the *** Proof of Delivery with the tracking numbers. You said you were going to call ***, to have your local *** driver say where he delivered the 2 boxes. You said because "things happen like this in *******".

      It was really unnecessary for you to post this slanderous review with the BBB. And it was totally mean-spirited and unnecessary for you to file a complaint with the PA ************************* wrongfully accusing us of falsifying *** records, when all you had to do to verify the *** tracking numbers was to go on to *** Tracking, enter the tracking numbers, and it shows you ALL of the Shipment Details, including the same Proof of Delivery info that we provided to you!

      A salesmen from this company called (Mid Feb, 2024) acting very friendly and polite. After talking for a minute he said that we had purchased things from them in the past and wanted to know if I could help him out by just making a small purchase. He suggested some dust masks and I said sure, that wouldn't hurt, we use them all the time. So a case (Four boxes of 10) masks show up within a week or two and all is good. We already had some masks so I just kept them in the office for when we would need them. Fast forward to mid April and I get an invoice from Northstar for $521.15! I called and explained what happened, and while the woman I spoke to wasn't nasty or anything, when I said I wanted to return them because that ***** was ridiculous and the salesmen never offered one, she was a little dismissive of that. But I pressed on and said I wanted to return them, to which she said well this is our address for you to *** them. They are currently travelling back so hopefully all is taken care of, but the price gouging is insane. They Charged $500 for a box of 10 dust masks that cost $22.75 off Amazon and many other retailers. I found most places sell them for $2 and change per mask, where as Northstar is charging $12.50 a mask. Did they do anything illegal? No. Should I have asked more about the price? Yes. Were they a little deceiving in their sales practice? Yes. Do they **** up prices by 500%? Yes.

      It's nice to know that you had a pleasant interaction with the Northstar salesman, and that he was very friendly and polite. And yes, we had previously done business with your company in the past with a gentleman that has since retired. We appreciate that you had ordered from us. Had you asked, the salesman would have gladly discussed prices. And although we may not have the cheapest prices, we certainly haven't "jacked up the prices by 500%"!  It was really unnecessary for you to post this review with the BBB.

      North Star called offering free product. "Free" product was received and used. They waited weeks then sent an invoice for 4 times more than what product would cost on open market. Called and told them we weren't paying. They said we needed to return the product. Since product was expected to be free it was used. Now they say we owe. Will not pay them. I'll fight this in the courts if I have to. STAY AWAY!

      Northstar never said they were sending free products. The invoice was mailed out to you shortly after the products were delivered.  The person who ordered the products said they wanted to return them to us. So we mailed a *** Return Label to you (per your request) so that you could return our products back to us free of charge. There was never any mention of you paying, or not paying, because you were returning our products!  And now you file this bogus review on BBB!

      This "company" is a SCAM. Had a phone call with the guy saying he wasn't able to make it to us and it would be more towards October. Stated he would send FREE samples of gloves to try. Then a few weeks after receiving latex gloves they send a bill for $384.75. Called them to complain and the lady just laughs and says that's not how we do business. When it obviously is. Then looking online and finding complaints from more people and the same thing happens. What business has a P. O BOX for their address. The will not answer the phone now either.

      The rep never said he was sending you free samples of gloves to try (especially not a Case of gloves!) On July 26th, you specified for the rep to send black nitrile gloves, size large. The rep then thanked you for the order, therefore confirming that it was in fact, an order. Plus, before the rep put the order thru, he called you back to confirm your address that you wanted him to send the gloves to, and he thanked you again for the order, (therefore confirming the order twice!) We shipped the gloves out to you on July 31st, and you received them on August 3rd, and then the invoice was immediately sent out (not a few weeks after receiving the gloves that you falsely stated). In regards to the P.O. Box address that is on the Invoice, that's the Remit Address that's always on any invoice.  On August 22nd, you had called and said you misunderstood, that you thought the rep was sending them to try, but either way you didn't realize the price, so you were going to "round up the gloves" and call back about returning them. You didn't call back, or if you did, you didn't leave us a message, or we would have called you back, instead you unnecessarily file this slanderous review on the BBB!  On August 28th, having spoken to you, you said that you had found the boxes of gloves, so we had emailed you a *** Return Label for you to return our gloves back to us.

She just laughs at everything that I had told her and not making her case any better. This company is a SCAM!  Why would we pay more for gloves when we could go some where to get them for $20 a box. I will send the gloves back with the label they sent, but I will not be paying for anything.

Just know if they ever call and offer to send a sample of gloves, they will send 5 cases of gloves and bill you over $100/box. Then they’ll have the audacity to call you, demanding payment and act as if you’re the cheat!

      The sales rep never said he was sending a sample of gloves! On March 7th, you specifically ordered a case of 6MIL "Orange" Nitrile Gloves, so we sent them to you. Our Customers very seldom ever request "orange" gloves, so we don't even stock "orange" gloves, since there's generally no demand for them, which is more proof that the sales rep would never have said he was sending you a sample of gloves that we don't even stock!  On April 3rd, you had called us, and said that you changed your mind and decided that you were going to send the gloves back to us.  Months passed, and you had never sent the gloves back.   On August 15th, someone from NorthStar Customer Service called to follow up with you, to see if you were still intending to send the gloves back, and you said that you had decided to keep the gloves. At that point, we then inquired about payment of the gloves since you decided to keep them. You said that we should call Accounts Payable regarding payment of the gloves, and you provided us with the Accounts Payable's name and phone number. We then spoke to AP, and sent the invoice to them (please note, we did not bill you for over $100/box as you falsely stated).

      In summation, you ordered rarely used "Orange" gloves, then you tell us that you're sending them back, then you tell us that you decided to keep them, but that you don't want to pay for them, and now you file a slanderous review with the BBB against us! We didn't do anything wrong! We're not the ones that are in the wrong here!

      What happened to my organization is exactly what I am reading in each one of these complaints. Seems to be one common denominator. My organization can only order with Purchase orders and with companies that we have accounts with. North Star randomly called me one day acting like they knew me. Informed me they were sending me some free samples to try out. Multiple boxes of stuff arrived that I didnt order along with an invoice. Absolutely disgusting the way they conduct business and by the looks of all these complaints its not just a coincidence.

      ****, you called us when you had received our 4 cases of merchandise stating that there was a miscommunication on both our parts.  In an effort to rectify the situation, we had emailed you *** Return Labels for you to send our products back to us free of charge.  We never even sent you an invoice.       NorthStar Products shipped us product that we did not order. I returned the full box (at my expense). Now they claim that I did not return all of the product and still owe them money. I will pay them nothing.

      On August 15th, Location Manager Roger B********* had ordered a case of Industrial Strength N95 **** Respirators from us. On September 13th, we received the case back that you had decided to return to us. However, one of the inside boxes that you had sent back was half empty!  Therefore, since you kept and used a portion of our products, we sent you a revised invoice.  And now, instead of you paying for what you kept and used, you file this bogus complaint with the BBB.
