This bank makes it IMPOSSIBLE to pay off your loans. They dont allow you to make one time payments unless you open a checking account with them. When you schedule a future payment you are limited to $1500/day for a total of $3000 in a month. If you want to make a larger payment you have to mail by check and specify you want it to go to your principal amount. They are THIEFS. The initial process of even setting up payment takes two days and they have fees for EVERYTHING. Worst bank Ive ever had a loan through.

Everyone needs retraining!!!I called Buffalo Rd addresses to get some advice on cashing a written payroll check. I asked the African American female if it would be better going to atm, drive through. She states my husband should cash it at the bank where the business he works at banks. I then called corporate and asked a young white female if I cashed a written payroll check in atm how much will I get back and she replied $225, after she is putting me on hold to get this so called information. The young white supervisor that got on the phone with me asked if the check was in my name? I said no. My husbands. But we have a joint account. What are you getting at? Wait I call back later after the monitor and recorded conversation that NW heard and figured that they do cash payroll checks! It took 4 people to find that out.

I'm absolutely furious with this horrible bank and the lousy experience I had with them. I have always been a very conscientious customer. Last week, somehow an electronic withdrawal from Paypal incorrectly went through - my designation was for a different bank I use and a PayPal error charged both banks - and I was charged THREE (3) overdraft fees of $37 per item ($111 total) over the course of a single 24 hour period Mind you, I check my account daily and as soon as I saw there was an unexpected (and incorrect) overdraft I immediately transferred funds in and had an additional $250 cash deposited out of petty cash by my family. This brought the account back in good standing. Asked the local branch what could be done. They referred me to corporate. I then contacted Northwest and spent three hours on hold with corporate asking why I was charged this ridiculous amount. I asked them to waive two of the three fees (again, assessed in a single day) and was disconnected once so I had to call again. I finally was told ONLY a branch manager can waive the fees. (Does this seem counterintuitive to anyone? How the local folks make decisions but not corporate?) So I called the local branch. Spoke with B, the bank manager, and was assured she would be putting in for a waiver and refund of the fees. Advised to wait until after the bank holiday on MLK Day as it might take a few days. I waited, and no refund occurred. Called today and was informed no refund would be forthcoming - despite what I was led to believe - and was informed B had spoken to the district manager (so much for local decisions) and I "wasn't nice" because I said "Damn it, these fees are not fair" (again, after THREE HOURS trying to resolve this) adding "I didn't deserve that." I replied "I didn't deserve to lose $111 of my money to insane fees, either" and was hung up on. Feel lied to & abused by THE WORST banking experience I have ever had. Filed a complaint with bank but doubt they will do anything.AVOID!

Terrible bank. Declines 100% of items that could put you in the negative and they KNOW theyre going to decline them. They return the item and charge $37 returned item fee per item. They wont let anything by but they never forget to add that fee. My account is $111 currently because they charged me 3 returned items fees for items they chose to return that didnt even amount to $111. So why not pay the item if you are going to charge the fee anyway? They dont waive any fees so with ***** or M&T they might reverse the returned item fee. Not here! Go to call them to ask a question and they direct you to call the branch you opened the account with, as if they dont operate as a unit. Also took a check to them once that had been signed over to me. They called me about an hour or 2 later and told me to pick up the check and reverse the deposit because they arent going to deposit a 3rd party check. Took them a $500 payment once. Checked my transactions a month later, transaction was no where to be found and was never applied. I had to send the bank an image of the transaction receipt for them to verify it was real and have it applied. Their practices are strange and frustrating. No one charges $37 returned item fees anymore. Catch up!

This bank is just a legal con. Have been a customer with them for many years but only because i have not had to reach out to their customer service. I had to reach out recently for the first time due to their errors and was treated terribly. I have closed all accounts and will never recommend them.

I've been with Northwest for just over a week and I'm opening a new account elsewhere this next week. I started my account with ~$80 on 11/ 18. My first pay was scheduled to be released from *** on Thanksgiving Day. The day came and went, no deposit. There was no indication that my check would be released to my account, so I called ******** on Friday. *** provided a full chain of custody, after verifying account and routing numbers. NW says they have no records and no deposit. It took until this morning to find out from *** that NW denied my deposit. I will be changing banks as soon as I can access my funds.

I payed almost 650 to cover 3 months, but somehow I'm still delinquent, then they reported to bureau. Very misleading predatory service, stay away, im surprised no class action. Also jump through hoops to even be able to pay. Interest is per year. You'll pay 3.9 percent of a 10k loan in interest every year. You make payments of 200, they take 85 percent to interest barely any if all is on the principle A 3rd grade banker would give better more honest business. Predators

Worst bank ever. Mad limits of how much you can pay on your loan daily and monthly. Then when its paid off they still charge you the monthly and have no idea where the money went or that a transaction happened. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CIRCUS!!

Been banking with these a******* for nearly ten years. In this amount of time. They have taken out money for s*** that wasn't supposed to be taken out. They've made sure that things that would normally take a few days to get processed are suddenly processed so that they can get their sweet, sweet, overdraft fees. Had many a time where I've had money in my account one minute, and then have about 10 overdraft fees the next morning, because they'd decide to take everything out A.S.A.P. just to make sure that you as their customer get held over a barrel so that they can take your money.
