I am filing a complaint regarding the misrepresentation of a sales promotion by Steve S at the Wireless Zone (Verizon) in North Warren PA on May 6th, 2023.

This employee told me that I qualified for a $500 credit for trading my phone in and 3 months after the purchase of a new phone (because I believed I was receiving a $500 dollar credit) I was told I only qualified for a $100 dollar credit which was failed to be entered into the system for 3 months from the time of purchase. I believe Steve S lied to me on purpose about the credit just to make a sale because they are paid commission on sales. This employee initially told me I only qualified for $100 credit and I stated I would wait to upgrade my phone then and after saying this he suddenly found a $500 dollar credit which he offered to me. I believed the receipt reflected this $500 promotion and confirmed this amount multiple times before making the purchase and believed this was on the receipt. I was in the store 3 times (each billing cycle when the promotion credit was not posted) before I was told that I only qualified for a $100 promo credit. I also called the billing company (VERIZON) 3 or 4 times to try and get this fixed. Verizon blamed the store and the store blamed Verizon. I am a single parent on a fixed income and I feel this is an unacceptable and illegal business practice to misrepresent a promotion credit to a customer just to make a sale. I would like the promotion I was promised and I will like the promotion credit to be applied to the bill the way I was promised as well ( a device credit equal to the amount financed so no additional fees are reflected on the monthly statement) as well as the money owed for the past 4 months of payments that I have made for a device fee that I did not agree to at the time of purchase. The invoice # for this purchase was ************, the store is Wireless Zone North Warren WZ740, 2809 Market St #5, Warren, PA 16365-5205 and the employe's name is Steve S.
