  Stay away from this company. I wish there were negative ******** start, if he charges more that $4.50/sq ft, you're overpaying. He bragged how he can get 7-8/sq foot all day long but was giving me a "deal" at $4.50/sq ft.R Smith paving came at a recommendation of a trusted local vendor and we struck a deal. Within a week, the work was scheduled and completed, however, there was an issue where they removed a large swath of yard/topsoil and the existing French drain pipe work, which was not requested, discussed, or needed. By time I noticed, the damage was done, I didnt think much of it and figured Id just throw some seed down however, I was unable to get grass to grow and erosion resulted. I contacted the owner, ***** and thats where the problems started. He was a great to work with until after the work was completed.First, I share the name with a large customer of his, so any time I called him he was thrilled to hear from me.until he realized I was just a single home owner then the tone changedthis happened 4-5-6 times I called him. He pushed off week after week after week with no follow up call or texts, every time it was I am busy this, I am busy that. Finally he came out (4 months after work was complete) to look at what I was talking about. I could barely get a word in, very argumentative, interrupting at every chance he ****** problem was trough in the driveway collecting water due to previous homeowner parking the work truck in the driveway. He couldnt explain or justify why the yard had to be torn up, suggested I was after a financial gain and told me to buy top soil and seed and his guys would spread it out. He told me I was a liar and he has a problem with dishonesty. This guy is so disrespectful, I ended up kicking him off my property. I would not recommend this company no matter how cheap there were.

  Three employees quit in less that 72 hrs due to the way they were being talked to. There is video of this owner Rich Smith telling an employee to suck his d$&@ as well as calling him a cu&t. This company fired a man after he started complaining about the condition of the dump trucks. They do not get legal inspections they have a “guy” and they take jobs and use YouTube to figure out how to do it! They hire illegals and pay them Pennie’s under the table. They use certain routes for their transport bc they know where cops and DOT sit. They need shutdown.

  This is a disgruntled employee. He has already called by office and threatened a total assault of my business on social media. His accusations about my company are no only false but liable. If he continues I will seek legal action against him. Please remove this review from BBB as this is not a customer issue but a disgruntled employee.
