    Customer contacted business 7/25/23, requesting a copy of invoice from previous month’s delivery of medical supplies, as insurance carrier was requesting documentation for payment. Was told on 7/25/23 that representative would submit this request and have documentation team send invoice via email. Nothing received as of 8/1/23. Customer contacted CCS Medical again on 8/1/23. Was immediately transferred to billing department with no expectation of wait time. Waited on hold for 40 minutes before hanging up, thinking that maybe I was transferred to the wrong department/call got lost. Called back and was told “billing team has a heavy call load and current wait time is approximately one hour. Suggested to call back at 8am.” Inquired if they could put a request in for a call back since I’d already waited on hold, or simply a request to have my invoice sent as requested on 7/25/23. Advised there was nothing they could do and that I would need to call back and speak with billing department. Advised I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, as this is not the first issue I've had with CCS Medical and poor customer service.

    Hello Dispute resolution department,

    We received your complaint for case * ******* on August 2, 2023, and requested a PHI release for the complainant on August 2, 2023 via the BBB Serving Western Pennsylvania. As this is a medical-related complaint, Federal HIPAA laws required a signed Protected Health Information (PHI) release from the patient which was previously provided by fax on August 2, 2023.


    As of today August 14, 2023, we have not received a response to our request for a PHI release from the BBB Serving Western Pennsylvania.


    The PHI authorization sent must be completed and signed by the patient and returned to us. Upon receipt of the completed and signed (PHI) release from the patient we will be able to look into this matter further.

    Keep being given the line that my medical diabetic supplies will be shipped or being shipped, over night to 14 days. Problem is the supplies have still not arrived. I have made the co-pay payment and still nothing. I am a Brittle Diabetic. They say Dr. needs to submit paperwork, then we do just as they requested, and they claim they didn't get said paperwork. I cannot go without my supplies this is medically necessary for my well being.

    Per our October 6, 2022 conversation, we did not receive this complaint until October 6, 2022 for **** * *********   As this is a medical-related complaint, a Protected Health Information (PHI) release has been faxed today to the BBB of PA for the complainant to sign and return to CCS.
