In June 2022 I contacted ***************************** of Power ***************************** LLC for service on my lawn tractor because it would not start. He came to my house and determined he needed to take it to his shop. He provided the transportation (and charged a fee) because I do not have a trailer. When he dropped it off, it did not run properly. After several back and forth messages trying to troubleshoot the issue - I was willing to fix it myself if I could - he told me he could not help me anymore, that I lived too far away, and I was too needy. So now I am left with a lawn tractor that does not run. All I wanted was for him to come back and look at it, as he obviously did not test it before he returned it to me. It does start, but as soon as I lower the deck and try to cut grass, it coughs, splutters, and won't stay running. I am relatively sure it is a simple fix or carb adjustment that he could have done quickly, right in my driveway. He was made aware of this issue right away after I received the mower back, and has not made any effort to stand behind his work.

*************** to a complaint about a riding lawnmower repair. ***, the customer, supplied his own parts for the repairs and is now blaming me for it's malfunction. When I first arrived, the engine was disassembled and he had installed his own carburetor. He expected me to repair it in his driveway. I informed him I would have to bring it to the shop and being nearly 20 miles away, I have to charge him pick up and deliver. After repairing and testing the machine to the best of my ability, I returned it. I started the machine and engaged the cutter deck and he paid me for the repairs. This was in June and he sent me messages asking me to order him an original carburetor because the one he supplied for the repairs was acting up. We messaged back and forth many times and I figured he replaced the carb or messed around with it again and am reluctant to repair it again. That's when I told him call someone else.

    FAQ
Hello , Power ***************************** was hired to get my lawn tractor functional & able to cut grass at whatever the cost to myself regardless of work that *** have been started or extra parts provided . Apparently they were unable to satisfy this requirement & for any reason thy can conjure up. I paid in full invoice upon delivery of my lawn tractor that ran terrible & could not cut the lawn.

Their ability to repair equipment is suspect. In this country if you take a job you stand buy your work. Power ***************************** instead chose to take payment and then leave us hanging with a non functional unit. To top it off they tell us we are too needy because we would like them to make good on their business deal with us & return to get us up and running.Nice way to appease the customers. Again we would have compensated Power ***************************** for their time ???????

    Unsatisfactory rating

    Regards,

If the customer was unhappy with the way the machine was performing, he wouldn't have paid me. There is more to this story than the customer is is telling and quite frankly, I don't have time for his therapy. so as a sole proprietor, I haven't the time or the desire to do anything further for him.  furtherTell us why here...

I paid Power Lawnmower Company for the service to my lawn tractor.  When I contacted him initially,he never mentioned that I lived too far away or was out of his service area.  He offered to come to my house to look at the tractor.  I assumed he thought he might be able to fix it in the driveway but was also OK with paying for transportation when he said he needed to bring it back to his shop.  When he dropped the machine off, he told me what he had done, and that it now ran correctly.  So, trusting that, I paid him.  It was afterwards, when I attempted to use the machine to cut my grass, that the problem became apparent.  As I said before, I did try to resolve the problem myself, and sent a few questions to Power Lawnmower Company for assistance.  He told me where he buys his carburetors, and seemed willing to answer my questions at least at first.  As soon as I told him I was out of ideas and needed him to come back, the situation deteriorated quickly.

Im not sure why Power Lawnmower Company thinks Im relying on him for therapy, or why in response to a legitimate complaint, he gets snarky.  He claims there is more to the story, but I really dont know what he means, and he hasn't bothered to explain.  As Ive said, consistently, the ONLY thing I want out of this is for my tractor to cut grass.  After a few back-and-forth texts about the issues I was experiencing  he told me I live too far away, and that I am too needy.  Hes upset that he had to pay $6 in shipping costs to return my original carburetor, but he never asked me to pay it.  He could have invoiced me instead of harboring a grudge about it.  The first I heard of it is when he texted me after he refused to make good on the repair, and after I submitted this complaint to BBB. Hes showed absolutely no interest in standing behind the work he was paid to do and has resorted to personal attacks and name calling.

I don't know what this back and forth is accomplishing.  It is a simple matter:  I paid for a service and did not receive it.  The only defense Power Lawnmower Company seems to have is to blame all this on me.  He was fully aware of where I lived and the situation with the tractor when he agreed to take the job.  He said he could fix it, and I actually think he believed that he did fix it.  But when I told him what was going on, and that I needed him to come back again (which I was willing to compensate him for), he started in with the name calling and general **********  It's really unprofessional and I still can't believe this is how he runs his business.
