    We were quoted for a 16-SEER air conditioning unit, which you can see detailed in the quote (prior to purchasing) attached. We needed a 16 SEER unit as that is the requirement to receive a rebate from the state via the ************ Energy rebate program. We agreed to the quote, and paid the price. After installation, we found out that our unit was NOT a 16 SEER unit - that it was capable of "up to 16 SEER" but is less because of the other equipment it was paired with. For this reason, we were ineligible to receive the rebate from the state. National Refrigeration is misrepresenting the unit being installed/the capability. There is no way for an average customer to know this information, as they do not have knowledge of this. They should specify "up to 16 SEER, depending on equipment this is paired with" , and inform the customer. I asked multiple times whether this would be eligible for a rebate with the state and they confirmed. Note that separately of this issue, the brand new unit after being installed did not work - we had the have the company visit about FIVE times for MULTIPLE hours to fix this. Their team called the errors made by the install team "very negligent" and laughed in our faces when they saw the errors the install team made. For that reason I was separately compensated $1,000 due to our brand new unit not working. That is a separate issue.I would like to be fairly compensated for the information being misrepresented in the quote, which would include the $ I would have received as a rebate from the state, as well as additional compensation for lost energy efficiency I will need to face as a result of this unit.
