      ****** explanation of their services are confusing, and perhaps, intentionally mislead their customers. I was on a service contract and it was automatically renewed and billed by them. I called within days to cancel that contract and I thought they they were offering to keep it open for 60 days before I would be recharged. So I assumed that it would be canceled at the end of the 60 days if I did nothing. Apparently Petro say dad that I needed to call back even though I saw the refund on my account. What I didnt realize was that I not only had a Service Agreement but also I was on automatic oil delivery with them and that portion wasnt canceled. My Intension was to cancel everything I had with Petro last May 2022. I was very surprised to find out that Unbeknownst to me, Petro came and filled our oil tank to the half way **** without advising me and then charged me over $7.11 / gallon, which they considered to be the ****et price on Sept. 1, 2022. Then I checked other local providers prices and discovered that Petro, *** charged more than $2 per gallon more than other providers. After several calls to them, Petro said that they needed to pull the phone records to resolve my issue. They called two work days later and told me they were in the right and I misunderstood. To show that they would work with me, they offered to put me on another contract with an equal payment plan for 1 year and would offer me a price stop not to exceed $5.11/gallon. A courtesy call before refilling my tank would have been nice given how the cost of oil has increased. And, perhaps, even better, they should have called me to check up with me within the 60 days that the automatic delivery was going to take effect. I originally called them on April 26,2022, they gave me 60 days to decide I dont know what, and then came to half fill my oil tank on Sept. 1, 2022. It was all very confusing to me. I had not processed that I was still on their automatic program. I have no plan to return

      I am filing a complaint against Petro Home Services. They have an office on ******* in ********, **. I tried to obtain their address by calling them but they would not give me the address.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. 

      In my opinion, intentional and follow up communication by Petro is what led me to file the complaint in the first place. I just want to mention that I received one phone call from Petro that I know of because they left a message stating that they knew about my concern and were gathering information about my complaint. If Petro called me other than that time, they failed to leave a message so I had no idea that they were trying to contact me. It would have been nice to know that they were trying to contact me.
