On 11/19/23, I went into CVS for a strep throat test. They pushed several additional tests on me without telling me the cost of any items. They billed me for a flu test which I did not discuss with the nurse and did not agree to. I reached out to customer service twice and they refused to remove the $100 charge for the flu test from my bill even though I did not agree to it and did not know the price. They also charged me $150 for being a first time patient without warning me this would happen and without any extra services being rendered for it.Business Response

CVS Minute clinic sent a bill for services on Aug 8, ********************* via a text message to pay the bill. I have attempted on numerous occasions on Jan 2 and Jan 3 to contact them to have the insurance re-filed for the service and I cannot reach anyone at their suggested number *************. On Jan 2 I made 3 calls to this number and opted for a callback and none occurred. On Jan 3, **** I was placed another call and waited over 35 minutes before selecting again for a callback which their system indicated would occur and the customer would "not loose their place in line" for a representative. I next tried to find a customer service email and their website listed none. This company has no way for a customer to contact them and their phone service line is not working. I simply want someone to review my account and re-submit the insurance information and/or provide a reason that my insurance would not be accepted. This is highly suspect from previous times I have used the minute clinic and was never charged for the service directly;Business Response

I checked my phone and there are no missed calls, nor was there a voicemail. The number in my complaint is the only number I have. Incidentally, I had to go to the hospital the next day because I wasted an entire day trying to secure an appointment with MinuteClinic and didn't get the antibiotics I needed in time. And I can prove it as soon as the bill comes in. I went to MinuteClinic because that was the tele heath ****** supported by *****. I'll be having a conversation about the lack of choice and its impact on patients.
The entire episode was painful, frustrating and ultimately expensive.

I took MinuteClinic virtual visit and explain the doctor ******** and he advised bed rest. I asked for doctors note and he said he would provide me and wrote this in doctors visit.Now, I called cvs minute phone number 10 times wait times are like 1-2 hrs and some of them disconnect call after putting on hold. I was able to talk to one representative and he said he sent message to the doctor but still I didnt receive my doctors note. They dont have email to contact. Phone waittime is too much. On December 6, 2023 I went to minute clinic ********** ** ***** for routine yearly checkup. The ** at location completed annual physical routine wellness checks. She havent prescribed or diagnosed anything. She just given us annual lab paperwork for routine annual lab test. Claim was incorrectly submitted using medical diagnosis as primary code with problem focused evaluation and management procedure code.Can you please resubmit the claim with correct annual wellness exam billing codes.Business Response

I reached out to Minute Clinic on Monday morning to get help with a suspected UTI to get antibiotics. The person on the phone basically told me she could not help me and that I had to seek care elsewhere, but they still charged me $89 for the the two to three minutes of questions.Business Response

11/16/23 Minute Clinic sick visit. Patient: *********************, ID# ************. I received a rapid Strep and Covid test at *** MinuteClinic located at *********************************************************** *************. I provided my insurance card at the time of service-*************** Shield (********) Subscriber ID #VYA *********. I paid a $20.00 co-pay using my credit card on the date of service (11/16/23). I received a bill via email for the amount of $284.00 on 12/7/23. The bill reflected the fact that the claim was submitted incorrectly to BCBS-NC. My credit card was then charged $284.00 on 12/9/23.The claim was incorrectly submitted to BCBS-NC. My insurance is BCBS NY and my insurance company has no record of the claim being submitted. I went to the MinuteClinic location to tell them they ran the insurance incorrectly and they told me I had to call ************ to fix it. I called and was unable to get through-I was literally on hold for 2.0 hours and no one ever answered. I contacted my insurance company and they also tried to call the Clinic to get the visit information to process the claim. The insurance representative has been attempting contact the *** MinuteClinic for several days to no avail. No one answers the call center. I need to get this resolved but there is no resource to do so.Business Response
