I subscribed to their monthly health coaching program (which included nutritional supplements) in November 2023. I kept the service for November, December & January and didn't use it, so decided to cancel it. I called their offices multiple times in February and left messages to cancel the subscription. I was never able to talk to a live person. I left messages with all my details, and I also connected through the web form on their site to no avail. I finally disputed the February, March & April charges with my bank. After filing the dispute with my bank in April, someone from The Health Dare finally called me. They tried to understand why I wanted to cancel. I explained that I just wasn't using the service. The lady I spoke with agreed to cancel out my services.
It is now a month later and it is May. The Health Dare has charged my card again *******. I don't know how to make them stop.
The total amount of money I've paid to this company is *******. I am only requesting a refund for the 4 of the 7 monthly payments. The first 3 payments were legitimate. The last four have continued after requesting the subscription to be canceled. I am looking for confirmation of cancelation and a refund of *******Initial Complaint

I am totally disgusted and appalled by this company. They do NOT do what they say when its a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied!!! First, on July 18, 2023, I felt very pressured in signing up in the first place, Coach Anna, kept calling me telling me I needed to sign up by certain time and day to get my discount, etc. So reluctantly, I did sign up, it was very expensive, and I gave them 2,000.00 in cash and then financed the rest over 3,000.00 as they suggested with Affirm. I was told over and over again by Coach Anna, that I didnt have anything to lose, that if i wasnt satisfied they give you your money back after 30 days. I was given a discount to begin with because I didnt sign on with my husband it was me by myself, and again, i was told by Coach Anna and by Bridget through text that I had to wait for the full 30 days before a refund would be issued if that was the case. Well I had several personal things to come up in the beginning of starting this program, I tried to follow it like I was told, took pics of my food, took down a food journal, exercised, but I had no success. After my 30 days, I requested a refund, and Bridget said I didnt qualify because I got a discount at the beginning. This is such a lie and a breech of contract!!! I have papers that I signed stating I would get my money back after 30 days and a text/email from Bridget stating I could get a refund after 30 days!!!! Now, im stuck with payments for a program I can not even do or that I am satisfied with!! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TACTICS!!!! Wished i would have saw the BBB reviews before I had signed up, because apparently this is what they do to several people!!! TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!Business Response

****** received the full value of the program at a $1,000 off discounted rate, which included medical lab testing, groceries, and extensive coaching. She then demanded a refund, and did not qualify for one at this time. We will not be granting a refund to this client, as she has already received the full VIP program benefits, and at a highly discounted rate. This has been explained multiple times to her, along with the terms of the contract that she signed at the beginning.Initial Complaint

The health dare is filled out lies from the people working the company, as me and my mom started the program we did the 30 days and was not satisfied. They added another 30 days because I had knee surgery for the eval I still didn’t see results as me and my mom was doing everything correct, when we mentioned we wanted to cancel many times they kept going around the book why we would stay I put out a 3k loan with ****** and the health dare changed my contract and didn’t mentioned when we were started we are not qualified for a refund because we got a discount. This is a horrible company they state everywhere 30 day money back guarantee and want to take all your money. If the health care states something else everything is a lie the products they gave us did not work! And I need a refund ****** is on my credit and I feel like if we didn’t have results that 30 day guarantee should go in effect. Going around the book with excuses the health dare is doing is horrible. Matter of fact is they are ignoring what we are saying and just keep telling us to schedule Evaluations what’s the point to keep talking with no refund? The food they sent us to eat for affordable option me and my mom did not like and they want to keep sending what we can eat they don’t understand the meaning of stop!Business Response

We regret that the client feels this way, but this is simply not true. ******** came to us for help with weight loss, and we gave her a $600 discount on the program in order to help her fit her budget. She had buyer's remorse a week into the program and demanded a refund. We explained that she could not apply for a refund until her 30 day weigh-in and evaluation, which she refused to do. She became angry and demanded her money back when the payments came due, but we have tried to explain to her that her debt is not owed to The Health Dare; rather, ****** financing. Although ****** carries our product on their mobile app (like many other products at ******* *******, etc.), they are NOT associated with our coaching company, and she must take up this complaint with her credit financing company. We wish her the best, and truly hope that she will take advantage of all The Health Dare can offer her.Customer Answer

ACCORDING TO THIS COMPANY'S ADVERTISEMENTS, THEY SAY IF YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED IN 30 DAYS YOU ARE ABLE TO GET A FULL REFUND. LIES! I AM NOT SATISFIED, I HAVE NOT LOST ANY WEIGHT AS THEY CLAIM AND I FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS I WAS GIVEN. THEY KEEP TELLING ME TO HANG IN THERE. MEANWHILE I AM HAVING TO PAY A ;$3K LOAN FOR THIS PROGRAM. I HAVE REQUESTED MY MONEY BACK SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY EITHER NEVER ANSWER ME, OR CALL ME AND ASK ME FOR MORE MEASUREMENTS AND LOGS OF MY TRACKING OF MY MEALS. I WANT A FULL REFUND AS PROMISED.Business Response

This is a false accusation. We have exchanged numerous emails with this client. Our coaching team has tried to contact Beth numbers times for weigh-ins, phone calls, classes and support. She refused our services, demanding a refund from week one. She has been told if she will simply attend her weigh-in, then she can submit a refund. She refused to do this, and even tried to falsify her original numbers with white-out on her weigh-in form. We are at a loss as to how to resolve this complaint, since she refuses to do the basic steps to which will allow her to have success on the program, or eventually a money-back guarantee if she does not see results after doing the program and communicating with the coaches for 30 days.Initial Complaint

6/25/22 I sign up for Health dare (receipt enclosed) buy one get one (bogo). The bogo offer ended in June (per health dare rep). I had a vacation coming up and didn't want to be dieting, they replied no problem the program could start when I got back.
6/28/22 plan starts (copy of orientation zoom meeting email).
8/29/22 The 30-day evaluation done. My partner had lost a few pounds, but id gained weight, so I requested to stop program and get a refund. My request was turned down (copy of 8/31 email provided) because I was given a "special deal and it didn’t qualify for a refund".
I responded back (same email) the contract reads that if one person has results and one doesn’t I would be eligible for a 50% discount (copy enclosed), again my request was denied.
I dispute charge for $**** w/Visa and it's reversed.......end of October Health dare disputed the chargeback, stating because the start date was 6/25 and I didn’t cancel until 8/29 the 30 day window had passed. Visa reversed the charge in health dares favor and I wasn’t notified. Paying cc bill in Nov I see the charge but I'm told its too late to dispute it.
Health dare pressured me to sign up on 6/25 due to the bogo deal ending soon (in July the bogo was still going on, so that was a lie. Health dare also told me we could start later and the 30-day guarantee would start on whatever day we started (again a lie since this was the excuse they used to fight my cc dispute).
Per Health Dare, the deal I signed up for didn’t qualify for any type of refund (because it was a "special deal"). This was definitely not what I was told, or in the contract I signed. Who would pay $**** for a program with no money back guarantee? I surely wouldn’t. Health dare dealt in bad faith with me and then lied to me and Visa.
Just know if you try Health Dare, there is NO money back guarantee regardless of what they say or what the contract says.Business Response

***** ********* had amazing results on the program in the first 4 weeks, and lost 8 lbs of fat, 6.5 inches, lost 2.6% body fat and gained 1% muscle. In spite of her health and mobility limitations, ***** communicated with our coaches, attended classes and evaluations, and followed our customized program the best she could. *****, however, did not follow instructions and did not have good results at his 4 week evaluation. ***** was not denied a refund because the "30 days ran out," but only because ***** had such great results. We paused his program twice, once for vacation and once for COVID. We are happy to extend an additional 30 days for both ***** and *****, so that they can continue to have the results they so desperately need. The ********** also received a $*** discount on The Health Dare program, combined with a buy-one-get-one free program to help ***** with her medical symptoms. At the time of the purchase, our coaching team went over the money-back guarantee, and ***** initialed all documents. These are false allegations, as the bank has sided with our company as well. The coaching notes from their 4 week evaluation state "***** demanded a refund and ***** hardly said a word. Congratulated her at the start about how she did above average on markers especially with all of her health issues." ***** did not follow the meal plan or the excercise, even though the coaching team advised him many times that drinking tea and eating cheese with multiple meals would not improve his diabetic condition. We are thrilled that we were able to help *****, and we hope that ***** will not stand in the way of her ongoing success.Initial Complaint

May 25, 2022 I had my initial consultation. That day steps were taken to enroll in the program - including obtaining my personal information as well as my husband's. This day there were 2 contracts that I was asked to complete, one with Affirm (the financing company) and one from The Health Dare. I did not complete either of these contracts as I chose not to proceed with the program. The ****** account was issued with my husband's information and I have not been able to speak with anyone about it with that company. I contacted the health dare and requested that a refund be issued as we had a financial impairment, and no docs were ever completed. I was told that in order to qualify for a refund I would need to complete 30 days of the program and not lose weight. I felt that was the only option I had, so I did the program for 30 days. I requested a refund from the company again today and they stated that they would need a log of all my food to show that I have been trying to follow the program.Business Response

Unfortunately, this complaint is simply not true. Alyshia completed our full contract, attached here. She began the program on Seotenber 30th, at which time she received all of our materials in the mail. Alyshia attended several classes and coaching calls. However, on October 6, she informed us that her husband was fired from his job and demanded a full refund. We offer a full money-back guarantee after 30 days on the program, but she refused to complete the 30 days and threatened to go to the Better Business Bureau, which she did. According to item #7 of our liability waiver, she is in breach of contract and this complaint cannot be legally posted or received by the BBB. Although we understand hardship and financial difficulty, our company cannot be slandered due to her personal hardship when our team coached her diligently, and followed all steps promised.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
While it is true that I recieved the materials, this was after attempting to resolve the situation myself. I only completed the program as it was required for me to request a refund. This has now hurt my hisband credit for a program that I was basically made to complete 30 days of to even request a refund.

We are very sorry that this client’s husband lost his job while on our program. However, your program was paid for with a third party credit card that you applied for. We are not responsible for this. We are happy to extend or freeze your program during this difficult time for your family. However, we cannot allow you to accuse our company integrity because of your financial situation. You came to us with health problems, signed a 9 page contract, and did several weeks of coaching with us before your husband lost his job. We provided excellent customer service for your health and wellness program, and we are waiting to continue helping you resolve your health issues.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.I informed coaches well before september that I did not want to participate in the program. No contract was signed originally. In fact they had to restart my program. It was not until September, when I was told that in order to request a refund I would need to complete 30 days of the program.
