I bought 2 Pelican kayaks on 6-2-24. The day we got them, we put them in the water to test them out. My kayak pulled to the left pretty significantly but my wife's kayak went straight. No matter what the conditions or how I was paddling, it pulled significantly to the left, to the point it wasn't even enjoyable to go out. I went to the  website and filed a claim. After more than a month of waiting and not hearing back from them, I emailed customer service and they emailed back saying they never received the initial claim (I had filled out a form on their website and submitted it online). So I emailed the same information to them I had put in the claim. I also sent in all the info they asked for (receipt, serial number etc). They proceeded to tell me it was the way it was stored (once I got home). I let them know it was doing this the day I brought it home from the store. Then they blamed it on the wind and said if I finished with a paddle on the right it would go left. I let them know I knew both those things and that I wouldn't be contacting them if that were the issue. They kept telling me there was nothing defective with the kayak. I am asking for help because this kayak is clearly defective and pulls severely to the left and they won't do anything for me. There is a warranty on the kayak but they tell me it doesn't work for this claim because they won't deem the kayak defective.

I purchased a fishing sit on top kayak on July 4 2024 online. Upon delivery I had immediately inspected the craft and immediately notified the seller which is confluence outdoors as directed by the delivery driver. The kayak had arrived badly damaged and it is not reliable in the condition it is in. I have contacted the seller multiple times and also sent in multiple emails to try and get a resolution to my issue. I am at this point requesting a refund due to the amount of time it is taking to even get a response. I have still yet to hear back from them and customer service keeps telling me to wait 5 days and it seems I am stuck in a never ending loop.

After doing research to find a Kayak that would best fit my needs I decided on the ********** ******** *** *** which I purchased on 6/8/23. When I made my purchase of $919.32 it had a $100 rebate available online through Pelican Sport. However when I initially applied one piece of required info that was required (the purchase date) was not visible in the pic I sent. My bad. After being notified I immediately corrected this omission via a new pic I sent. I was E-mailed back and told my claim was being resubmitted and that I would be getting an E-Card in a month or so. After not receiving anything for several months I called and was told it would get submitted again. This happened several times. Then on 3/13/24 I got an E-mail saying my submission was disqualified for not meeting one or more of the "specified terms"? After another round of E-mails (I was told the department/company that actually handles the rebates are not accessible by phone, only E-mail)....crickets. The Company is Pelican International/Confluence Outdoor.

I purchased a ********** Kayak at ******'s sporting goods in the spring of 2020. The Kayak was sold with a clean title/QC stamp and no indication that the warranty was not valid for the kayak I purchased.

In the summer of 2022 a crack in a scupper hole formed. The crack appears to be on a seam from the mold used to form the kayak.

I returned the kayak to Outdoor Recreation Equipment to deal with the warranty.

Confluence Outdoors denied the warranty claiming that the crack was due to damage caused by me. A patch was applied to the damaged area so that the boat could still be used ( though it still leaks and needs to be periodically emptied)

I reached out to the customer service team to dispute the denial of the warranty. I also offered to donate the repaired boat to a local scout camp if they would honor the warranty.

The reply I received claimed that because the boat was sold by ******'s it was defective and did not come with a warranty. No response was given when I pointed out that it was sold with a clean title and a QC stamp.

I followed up with pictures showing the damaged area prior to the patch being applied and have still not received a response.

I believe that I am owed a check for the full 2023 retail value of a ********** Pescador 12 Pro per the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act as Confluence Outdoors has failed to provide evidence that the damage was caused by me rather than the manufacturing defect around that scupper hole. I am truly disappointed that I've had to go such extreme measures to get what should be a cut and dry issue resolved, and would like to be compensa so I can replace the damaged boat with something manufactured by a company that stands behind their warranty.
